I think the skull feature in the unused lighthouse would be perfect for the bottom level of your sea cabinet! I imagine it’s one of the mysteries of the deep that both your diving crew and your villains are searching for! In addition, the light leakage in the chimney is fitting considering the age of most lighthouses, the brickwork is bound to have cracks from being on an eroding island for decades
I like the idea of using the scooby-doo lighthouse in the fairground! It reminds me a lot of those walk-through mirror maze/obstacle course attractions you see at the fair!
Nice addition to Brick Nottingham!! If you are not liking the light leakage from the cottage, perhaps you can relocate the 2nd LED into the lighthouse itself, doubling it up in order to brighten the rotating beacon?
I would turn the white portal crane around (towards the red freight ship), because on the lighthouse side of the pier will be no space to moor and load a ship (except the small fishing boat).
Robin, I work from home and your videos come out around 11 or 12 my time, so eating lunch and watching your videos is one of the highlights of my day on Mondays and Fridays.
And now Robin is contributing to my FOMO! I love this lighthouse - I think it looks fantastic especially with the light feature. I didn't think at first you would fit it in that space, but yeah, that looks reallllly good right at the corner of the harbor. Very awesome!
You could always put the Scooby Doo one, near the TMNT hideout, that way you can turn it into a defunct river lighthouse, for river boats. But you would need to finish the back side, though, unless that's rock. Let them use it and be the reason it's haunted.
Lighthouse looks fantastic in your city. I added the CMF series 21 castaway figure sat on the beach with the cave to my lighthouse set and he looks great holding his message in a bottle
You could still find an area for the Scooby-Doo set and have it used as an older lighthouse that has become a maritime museum. A town near me, Port Washington has two lighthouses. An old retired one on a hill which is now a museum and the more modern one which is out on Lake Michigan near the breakwaters and the entrance to the port.
In my opinion, the lighthouse is one of the most gorgeous LEGO sets yet. And with that, the placement in the Harbour is absolutely perfect. It nicely anchors that whole end of the city.
To be clear, it was a wren, not a parrot, but other than that, you're entirely right about the lighthouse keeper's cat near New Zealand. The specific species is the Stephen's Island Wren.
I’m one of those that sorely regrets mossing the Fishing Shack - it would look so fantastic next to the Lighthouse and the Bricklink Fishing Boat for that matter. It looks fantastic in the harbor though - great pick.
Great use of the set and use of the space. The small set after you MOC it maybe a kids’ thing near your beach? Or a very small facade somewhere as it is too good not to have in. My Dad said you could use it as a door stop but I said NO. JJ Field
I think it looks fabulous in the city. Its a real addition to the city and the harbour area. Glad you chose it over the Scooby-Doo set. Brilliant stuff!
The lighthouse from Scooby Doo looks very nice, but I think you chose right, as this is probably the best Lego lighthouse ever produced. I hope to afford it sometime in the not too distant future, but for now I am thinking of combining two of the Hidden Side ones to make one that has walls all around.
My thought for the Scooby Doo light house is to append it to the other one. Covering the treasure area with the skull door thing would be a nice use of that build piece. Expanding the island a bit with the little light house more damaged and almost into the sea as though it was falling into the sea which would enhance the haunted aspect. The little striped light could be put up on the mid level turn near the bottom hand rail. After seeing the space available maybe have the damaged one coming out of the water to insinuate that it was as tall as the new one but the rest of it is submerged. Maybe a bit of an angle to it like we did with the ferarri tower? Maybe the cave bit is exposed due to part of the island sinking off and taking the old light house with it thus requiring the new light house to be built. A bit of platform outside the cage door leading to the wooden stairs going up the outside toward the top could look pretty cool. Or a brick built ruined version of part of the stairs. The lower door could be removed and some bits of brick filled in to create a damaged/cracked look to that side. The hinge bit at the top trap door could be used to add further tilt to that bit. The keep out sign could be placed near the top or on the balcony to ward off boats due to the danger of hitting something. Maybe the clue under the boards could be with a bit of rock between the light houses as part of the rubble from the collapse. The open back could then arguably be the result of damage. I do think that the placement near the wall to get that light effect is a lovely little accident that really enhances the build. The shadows that the lighthouse casts on the wall help it stick out from the white of the wall a bit too which is nice. Another way to break up the flatness of the blue plates would be just putting a few random blue strips to suggest gentle variation. It doesn't look like we have much room between the pier bit and the light house. Does it go right up to the pier? For other boats going into the area due to the packed space maybe two of them could have a scene of arguing minifigs due to one ship bumping another.
You could use both, the new one in the port area, while the old one is a heritage/old lighthouse or old semaphore starion on a hill, slightly away from the port if there is room. The crazy optIon is landside carrying it into the ocean and sitting on the ocean floor.
Have you ever experimented with filming from above your build/work table and posting it time laps with little or no narrative? This looked like a fun build. Just a thought.
As a matter of interest down here in South Africa, the light house that is elevated at Cape Point was replaced with a more modern one that was placed lower down due to the thick fog -so was more visible. But that humungous lighthouse of yours is certainly my favourite - WOW! Have you considered painting your walls sky blue?
Could you build the Scooby Doo lighthouse into a back corner on the top shelf of your under the sea cabinet? Maybe above that secret laboratory on the left hand side.
I think you could sink the Scooby-Doo lighthouse under the sea of your cabnit as if it was on the top of a rock formation that has been over taken by the seas from many years ago.
Awesome to always see additions to your harbour/water scenes. I'm always up for it. I made one also connected to my Old Fort Harbour😄 Hello from Japan.
As a small suggestion to add even more detail: how about putting the anti shark spray from your namesake Robin from the Batman CMF next to the shark warning sign?
I've just started building the Lighthouse, I must say I was a little disappointed when I found out they were using a sticker as a mirror to change the angle of the light.
Are bino' s a bit too high for a minifig? Agree, keep bats for the mine. How about making the grove a bit bigger? Coming out into the sea a bit further
Maybe add the small lightshouse at the under the sea as a flooded remain of a city? Nice lego-room. I will show it to my kids tomorrow 😀. Grtz, Sg from Belgium 🇧🇪
I understand about your reason for not placing the bats, but I do like the idea of a bat cave. Anywhere in the subway area you can open up a small portion to make one?
The bird that you're thinking of is the Stephen's Island wren, and I believe it's a true story as I was told it by an ecologist (with a specific fascination for birds) that I know
Build idea a bed shop with a few funny scenes one where a guy who’s got too comfortable and fallen asleep on one of the beds and another with embarrassed mother who’s daughter is jumping wearing a helmet. Also add an employee who’s rushing to help
i liked the scooby doo one better. with the crane right next to it, i liked the idea that the lighthouse is old and abandoned long before they built a cargo area next to it
I probably mentioned it on one but it wasn't big enough to feature in a title. Essentially I bought a few pieces to replace the Hidden Side stuff on the back and mirrored the other side so it was flat. Then I added a LOT of shrimp!
I don't really like how the fishing boat is squeased in the corner like that so maybe you could move it to the entrance of the cave like they are collecting the treasure inside also the Scooby-Doo lighthouse should be used in the UV part of the cabinet kind of like a shipwreck
Looks great, and agree it really finishes that side of the city. It does blend into the wall a bit as you mentioned - would it be better to change alternating layers from white to red bricks?
Hi Robo, like the build but it's a bit dated for your city. From a modern prospective most light houses are automatic, no need for the little house and the row boat. But it still looks good in the corner. Either way 🙂
I honestly think that you should modify the cave to give it a more justification to give it the name grim’s mouth like some large sharp shark teeth that was imbedded into the cave. The Scooby-Doo one would be a good fit for a fairground ride, but I wonder if it could fit in the other corner or next to dr. Inferno’s dock lair as a old abandoned lighthouse where it’s falling apart! It’s a cheap location for a evil organization to locate and a sweet alibi for insurance claims!!
I feel like the house should be behind the lighthouse it doesn't makes sense if the ocean faces the house the lighthouse should be seen the best from a ship
I like that skull rock part to. I need to raise my light house up onto rock s to just like this set yeer same not Shaw if I going to get this new light house. It's lovley it so reminds me of a light house in a. oil painting . ? Do you think same Robin ..
It’s a nice set, and looks great on display, but for $300, it’s just not worth it for me. I get it has mechanical parts and lights, but still. If it was $50 less, I think it’d be a better value. But either way, I’m glad you have it!
Good day Robin. The light house. Yes. I have the old creator red and white light house with light up brick with little house next to it and wail build the Scooby do light house yes. I was going to go with that one or Ninjago light house but. Then Sean the creator old one and as it's red and white it reminds me of the old school one s you would cee in 70 s and 80 s. .it's sorted like the Scooby doo one.
Idea for a scene in front: have a boat crashing into rocks to show how weak the light actually is
I guess that's why the rescue is going on with the mariner in the life raft thingy!
@@RobinHoodBricks YES!!!!
i love how the shrimp boat is full of shrimp, can never get enough of them
Yes, I really love filling up the containers with fruit, fish and so on. Also train hoppers/wagons with coal, rocks whatever. It looks so much better!
I think the skull feature in the unused lighthouse would be perfect for the bottom level of your sea cabinet! Nice addition to Brick Nottingham!! If you are not liking the light leakage from the cottage, perhaps you can relocate the 2nd LED into the lighthouse itself, doubling it up in order to brighten the rotating beacon?
I'm not sure that'd work as it needs to be lined up perfectly!
Very nice 👍👍
Thank you!
I would turn the white portal crane around (towards the red freight ship), because on the lighthouse side of the pier will be no space to moor and load a ship (except the small fishing boat).
I nearly did that but it does look nicer from this direction. Maybe I will!
Robin, I work from home and your videos come out around 11 or 12 my time, so eating lunch and watching your videos is one of the highlights of my day on Mondays and Fridays.
Awww that's lovely to hear. Bon appetit!
And now Robin is contributing to my FOMO! I love this lighthouse - I think it looks fantastic especially with the light feature. I didn't think at first you would fit it in that space, but yeah, that looks reallllly good right at the corner of the harbor. Very awesome!
Phew, yes it just fits and won't teeter off!
The lighthouse is a fantastic set... !I would say though, that although the binocular build is good, it looks ridiculously big
It's an antique maybe, haha!
You could always put the Scooby Doo one, near the TMNT hideout, that way you can turn it into a defunct river lighthouse, for river boats.
But you would need to finish the back side, though, unless that's rock.
Let them use it and be the reason it's haunted.
Great addition to the bay. I half expected you to say you were going to combine them to make a super lighthouse.
Good call, haha!
Lighthouse looks fantastic in your city. I added the CMF series 21 castaway figure sat on the beach with the cave to my lighthouse set and he looks great holding his message in a bottle
I may well do the same!
Maybe the other light house could be incorporated into the deep sea cabinet.
This is what I thought too. Maybe rework it a bit and make it better and it would look great in there!
In my opinion, the lighthouse is one of the most gorgeous LEGO sets yet. And with that, the placement in the Harbour is absolutely perfect. It nicely anchors that whole end of the city.
My thoughts exactly. A shame about the other one but it just isn't in the same league!
To be clear, it was a wren, not a parrot, but other than that, you're entirely right about the lighthouse keeper's cat near New Zealand. The specific species is the Stephen's Island Wren.
Poor fellas!
You could have the smaller Scooby Doo lighthouse into the fairground, or some kind of haunted attraction
I’m one of those that sorely regrets mossing the Fishing Shack - it would look so fantastic next to the Lighthouse and the Bricklink Fishing Boat for that matter. It looks fantastic in the harbor though - great pick.
Poor you. We all have our regrettable missed sets!
Great use of the set and use of the space.
The small set after you MOC it maybe a kids’ thing near your beach? Or a very small facade somewhere as it is too good not to have in.
My Dad said you could use it as a door stop but I said NO.

2:10 that comparison with a gopher is fabulous! You could also have added something like: "for anyone who refuse using SI units" :D
the bats would look great in your underground mine if you still plan on building it
Of course I will, and they will. Sold!
You should have the lighthouse worker looking up confused at the parachuting person. Would make for a good scene!
Who knew we would get yet another fascinating history lesson from Robin Hood Bricks.
That looks amazing! The only thing I would suggest is to actually add a minifigure using the binoculars, to make it clearer what it is for.
I think it looks fabulous in the city. Its a real addition to the city and the harbour area. Glad you chose it over the Scooby-Doo set. Brilliant stuff!
It really does!

Yeah I nearly got that one, but now I'm glad I didn't!
Great job
Thanks!
The red roof was designated for coast guard buildings back in the day

Lighthouse alert! Thanks for the video Robin, excellent work as usual.
Cheers, Henry!
Maybe a small ship sinking right in front of the lighthouse would be ironic and also explain the guy being rescued and surrounded by sharks.
Noticed a "free" magazine minifig in a paper baggie just today, and thought ooh.
Noice!
Have you ever experimented with filming from above your build/work table and posting it time laps with little or no narrative? This looked like a fun build. Just a thought.
I spend too much time on the channel already, haha. Building is often done in front of the TV!
Very interesting.
Part of the deal of me having that room was not ruining it. That was a while ago but I bet that's still the deal!
Super addition! That harbour is looking pretty packed and stacked!!
Have you thought about swapping the middle section of slopes of the tower with dark red to give it the classic look like in the Scooby-Doo set??
I am literally currently contemplating that. I doubt all the bits are available in Dark Red though. Maybe red!
@@RobinHoodBricks As they say: great minds think alike 😉
If you move the shark sign to the rock side of the dock it can be seen both my minifigs who are on the dock and by people looking at the lighthouse
Expect a badoiing!
Could you build the Scooby Doo lighthouse into a back corner on the top shelf of your under the sea cabinet? Maybe above that secret laboratory on the left hand side.
You should make a cabinet that is like a space zone where there are rovers and moon bases
I had an early plan for that ages ago but it never took off!
You could put the scooby-doo lighthouse in the sea cabinet.
The Scooby-Doo! lighthouse would look great in the under the sea cabinet!
Ooh I love that set and I love eldoredo fortress! I got eldoredo fortress recently and I love it!
Yeah it's a very cool set indeed!
Glad to hear you're also watching TechDiff. 😅 At least that's what it sounds like you got the Stephens Island Wren story from.
I think I got that from a Bill Bryson book!
@@RobinHoodBricks Well, then have I got a suggestion for you! 👀
I think you could sink the Scooby-Doo lighthouse under the sea of your cabnit as if it was on the top of a rock formation that has been over taken by the seas from many years ago.
Have the other lighthouse in you deap sea cabinet as a wreck.
Maybe you can use part of the other light house in the water near a shore like it has collapse into the water from erosion.
It looks great in the harbour. The schooby doo lighthouse should be a fairground ride.
Awesome to always see additions to your harbour/water scenes. I'm always up for it. I made one also connected to my Old Fort Harbour😄 Hello from Japan.
I guess my town needs a lighthouse to attract sailors to prop up the economy 🤣 and keep them away from the sandy beaches
Yeah, glad someone got that joke!
As a small suggestion to add even more detail: how about putting the anti shark spray from your namesake Robin from the Batman CMF next to the shark warning sign?
I reckon you should turn around the crane for the other boat
Yeah, I probably will!
hi robin you could put the scooby doo lighthouse in the part of the harbor with the coastgurad. And place a little sailors pub next to it
Cool idea for SSP an assault boat armed with guns and torpedoes
I have a land based SSP build in the queue!
I've just started building the Lighthouse, I must say I was a little disappointed when I found out they were using a sticker as a mirror to change the angle of the light.
Yes, I want one of those torches they advertise on TV that can burn through a wall at 100m or whatever, haha!
Are bino' s a bit too high for a minifig? Agree, keep bats for the mine. How about making the grove a bit bigger? Coming out into the sea a bit further
If you could wrap a slide around your other lighthouse it would make a very English looking helta-skelta for the theam park
Maybe add the small lightshouse at the under the sea as a flooded remain of a city?
Nice lego-room. I will show it to my kids tomorrow 😀.

The bird that you're thinking of is the Stephen's Island wren, and I believe it's a true story as I was told it by an ecologist (with a specific fascination for birds) that I know
What a tragedy. Stupid cat!
Build idea a bed shop with a few funny scenes one where a guy who’s got too comfortable and fallen asleep on one of the beds and another with embarrassed mother who’s daughter is jumping wearing a helmet. Also add an employee who’s rushing to help
The lighthouse is a great addition but I have to agree that the pirce is too much. It’s a great addition to your city, nonetheless.
Yeah, I'm glad I have it but I probably would've stuck with the Scooby one without all your help and encouragement!
i liked the scooby doo one better. with the crane right next to it, i liked the idea that the lighthouse is old and abandoned long before they built a cargo area next to it
That was the original masterplan but this thing's not going anywhere else, haha!
Sheesh... what a horror off a cat story mate, I'm glad to be a dog person! Anyway, I enjoyed building the lighthouse as well hahaha..
You and me both. Dogs for the win!
Looks great in the harbour! 😀
It does!
I agree with your assessment Robin!! The lighthouse is a great build that people will regret not purchasing!! Looks fantastic in your harbour!! ❤
We've all had that feeling way too late, haha!
There is a video where you show the lego hidden 70419 fishing boat moc
I probably mentioned it on one but it wasn't big enough to feature in a title. Essentially I bought a few pieces to replace the Hidden Side stuff on the back and mirrored the other side so it was flat. Then I added a LOT of shrimp!
Maybe you should put some more cheese-slopes on the big rock pieces.
Maybe you can use the Scooby Do lighthouse on the Sea Cabinet?
If you wanted some flying bats, the batman batarang piece would probably work better.
The lighthouse is such a good set though, those prices though.
Splendid evenings viewing
Thankyou
You're welcome!
Grrrrr, Robin making me want to spend $300! 😂
You could convert the scooby doo lighthouse into a facade for the 20000 bricks under the sea cabinet.
I don't really like how the fishing boat is squeased in the corner like that so maybe you could move it to the entrance of the cave like they are collecting the treasure inside also the Scooby-Doo lighthouse should be used in the UV part of the cabinet kind of like a shipwreck
Could the haunted lighthouse go in the Fun Fair, maybe with a slide attachment?
put it on the top level of the sea case?
Looks great, and agree it really finishes that side of the city. It does blend into the wall a bit as you mentioned - would it be better to change alternating layers from white to red bricks?
Light Fight!
Easy winner, haha!
Hi Robo, like the build but it's a bit dated for your city. From a modern prospective most light houses are automatic, no need for the little house and the row boat. But it still looks good in the corner. Either way 🙂
Yeah, but a lot of these things are historical like my cannon fort or the fortress. Out of date but touristy!
Looking wonderful Robin
Would love to see the scooby doo lighthouse in the fair ground
Also love the lighthouse fight out 😂
I honestly think that you should modify the cave to give it a more justification to give it the name grim’s mouth like some large sharp shark teeth that was imbedded into the cave. The Scooby-Doo one would be a good fit for a fairground ride, but I wonder if it could fit in the other corner or next to dr. What about the Lego creator lighthouse? That was a cool set. I even have it.
LEGO Creator Lighthouse Island 5770 is the official name. It was released back in 2011. It can be rebuilt into a restaurant and a boathouse.
I feel like the house should be behind the lighthouse it doesn't makes sense if the ocean faces the house the lighthouse should be seen the best from a ship
The house is behind. It is between the bay (inland) and the tower. The sea is the door to the LEGO Room!
But, which is better lego lighthouse? 75903... or 21335? There's only one way to find out.... FIIIIIGHT!
It was a bit one-sided!
Looks very good in its position

Are you sure it's safe there Robin??
I think a couple of red stripes are needed because it's blending into the wall.
I think it’s been a long time since you’ve done a city tour
Yes it is. I wanted to get the mall and the new modular in first so maybe the end of February?!
Nice looking light house Robinhood
add a slide to Scooby-Doo lighthouse
I have been building my harbour recently so great timing vidro
Its so funny that you added a pokemon style sceene 😂
Street Fighter 2, for my generation!
It’s a nice set, and looks great on display, but for $300, it’s just not worth it for me. I get it has mechanical parts and lights, but still. If it was $50 less, I think it’d be a better value. But either way, I’m glad you have it!
It's a great-looking set, it's just SO expensive! I'd rather it not have the electronics and cost half as much.
Powered Up is very expensive indeed so I imagine that'd reduce the price by a surprising amount!
