I think this specific "Om Mani Padme Hung" chant was done so beautifully! Of course, the chant is always amazing, but lama gyurme's voice and the melody give it such a dynamic quality. Thank you for sharing this. :)
@fconsola You chant it because it's represents the teachings of Buddha. It is the mantra of compassion. It's to help you reach Nirvana. If you read the commentary noted by the person who uploaded the video, that will help you answer your question. And note that the lotus flower represents purity in mind and spirit in Asian and Buddhist society. So when you chant this mantra, think of peace, freedom and liberty... if that helps.
only the pure mind without any other conditional motives (one that is aligned with dharma for its own sake and thus pure) may be exalted as the supreme. om mani padme hum.
