Thanks for a trip down memory lane. I grew up in Bottesford and spent many hours as a kid in Redmile with friends. I was very lucky to grow up in such a beautiful area.
oh, my you had some truly stunning views in this vlog! the beautiful greens of England, there is nothing like them! (not in the U.S., at least) I am going to have to vote this vlog the very best for beautiful landscape! oh, and I don't want the cows to feel left out, so I will vote them the most beautiful cows I've seen so far on this channel. and, please, tell me you got a ride back home after this monumental trek! you must have been right knackered!
This one was so big. Once started you had to commit to it as there was no way of bailing out the it midway, no public transport until where I finished. I got the train back from there. I still have to go back there and carry on with the final section. The Grantham Canal is Beautiful
Awesome walk , I cycled to the dove cottage tearoom from cotgrave last week I was worn out when I got back home , Lord knows how you managed 20 miles walking , great video as usual buddy
Hi Jim. The Bingham to Melton walk will happen. I've checked a few locations along the route and the nettles are too high so it'll happen in the Winter. Right through to Leicester too 😉
@Trekking & Towpaths, Blimey that will be an epic walk and will take some time. Just watch out for the Farmers who are very protective of their land, I was caught out a few times running along some of the old track bed and got accosted by irate land owners!!! To be fair to them I should have checked first.
this Canal snakes its way through the beautiful vale of belvoir, take a detour to the Windmill pub in Redmile, the pub that was The Barley Mow used in series 2 of Auf Wiedersehen Pet.
Another great video. Thanks for showing us some of the lovely British countryside once again. I also enjoy your soundtracks. I would love to know where you get your music. Some of it is really catchy.
Hello Martin. Most of the recent videos the music has come from audiolibrary.com. Also search the name on UA-cam they are all on there. Most of the tracks are on Spotify
Been Cycling from Nottingham City Centre (Where I live) to Redmile along the path, most of this year... still haven't reached Grantham yet! But hoping to do it this year, On the last video you do of the walk, going into Grantham, you end the video outside my Mum and Dads old house (The one with the High Bush and Satellite dish on the wall) was nice to see you ended it there.
Visit ua-cam.com/video/YJpM135eRUw/v-deo.html for the Nottingham to Cotgrave Towpath Walk
I loved this video as I was brought up not far from there and used to run sections of the canal as part of my training.
This was a long long hot day lol
