Penobscot Indian Nation restores history with traditional birch bark village

Former Penobscot Indian Nation Chief Barry Dana and Penobscot guide John Neptune are building a 14-foot traditional birch bark wigwam and birch bark longhouse on Sugar Island that will be used for an eco-tourism project and as a place to pass on the tribe’s culture to the next generation.

I am sure you have seen it, but if not check out Clay Hayes making a Penobscot double bow/survival bow. From saplings to working double bow in a day. The most interesting Native American bow design there is imo.

My Mom was so proud to tell us we had Penobscot blood in us. Our high cheekbones and deep set eyes, even with our light hair and green eyes, were very noticeable. I'd love to learn more. I was born in Maine; my great great grandmother was full blooded.

Me too, our story is exactly the same. I'm in Maryland now, we just sold our camp in Hudson Maine last year because Mom is getting older and the plandemic demise of us all is at hand. God the father bless this mess. we need the truth and to stop the evil ones who are all the leaders and tyrants of today. A world Revolution is in Order you will see.
