Story of Yanxi Palace is a Chinese period drama series created by Yu Zheng. It is an original screenplay written by Zhou Mo, and later developed into a novel by Xiao Lian Mao. Starring Wu Jinyan, Charmaine Sheh, Qin Lan, Nie Yuan, Tan Zhuo and Xu Kai, the series premiered on iQiyi from July 19, 2018 to August 26, 2018, during its run it was streamed more than 15 billion times. Distributed in more than 70 markets worldwide, Story of Yanxi Palace has since become a huge hit, especially in Asia. It has been named the world's most Googled TV show in 2018. A spinoff and sequel to the series, Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventure, aired on Netflix December 31, 2019.
《延禧攻略》是一部2018年中國古裝劇，由吳謹言及佘詩曼領銜主演，由秦嵐及聶遠特別主演，由許凱及譚卓聯合主演。2017年6月14日，《延禧攻略》在上海舉行開機發布會 。同年6月16日，在浙江橫店影視城開機。開拍近4個月後，於10月14日全部殺青。其番外篇--《金枝玉葉》共6集，於2017年10月拍攝。製作人于正也在微博透露將有續集《延禧紀事》，記載乾隆帝晚年故事。《延禧攻略》是《Google 2018年度搜尋排行榜》香港熱爆關鍵字組別及台灣快速竄升電視劇組別的第一位。

Interesting some look more beautiful or handsome in their characters than in real life and vice versa. Totally love Fuca Fuheng and his sister (Empress) in the character look.

I spent 5 days watching all those 70 eps and I'm willing to spend more time if there's part 3

Ugh, I binged 50 eps in 1 week, and now it's been the sad parts for me already and I have no motivation to actually finish all 70. 😰😭 I am so heartbroken by this script's path already. Reading the comments tell me it doesn't get better in terms of ending outlook for my favorite characters.
I took an emotional break and switched to "General's Lady", 30 eps. It's completely 180* & made me so happy and giddy, vs. "Story of Yanxi". I needed this change in pace and romantic storyline to make up for what's going on w/Yanxi. 😖😫

I like them better in their characters in the drama, especially Fuca Fuheng and Fuca Rongyin. Wei Yingluo is admirable both in the drama and in real.
They're all beautiful and talented. Ever since I started watching this drama I can't stop watching it just like downtown Abbey. Love it.

I've got 2 more episodes to watch, which I'm putting off as I don't want it to end. I've never really watched anything like this - I'm blown away by the acting, the set and how beautiful everyone is in real life. Please don't forget how good Li Yu's character is too. 😊

Setuju....ini yg terbaik. Belakangan banyak yg serupa tapi tidak pas. Tokoh raja lebih baik diperankan bkn oleh aktor prety boys, disini karakter raja sangat pas. Kostum pun sangat tradisional tapi sangat keren. Entah lah kehabisan kata2

Love the roles of these two amazing talented actors/artist Wu Jinyan & Nie Yuan. First watched them on the Yangxi Palace Princess Adventure. They have natural onscreen chemistry. Xu Kai is one of favorite young actor/artist, handsome & talented. I have watched his amazing performance in Once Upon A Time In Lingjian Mountain. Just finished watching The Legend of Xiao Chuo, In my opinion only, although Charmaine Sheh is a good actress/artist she lacks luster on both of these great C Drama series. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, they did. There's a video I saw on UA-cam where they showed the Emperor actor having his hair shaved off and then having a prosthetic cap made for the pigtail wig at the back of his head. If they just stuck the fake pigtails on to the back of the men's heads, the skin would blister horribly after a few days of filming.

I love this series it’s awesome the woman and men are gorgeous and lord their acting is so awesome they make me cry get mad laugh like wow I love it I wish they could do the audio in English I loose myself in the story but kind of hard to read and she what’s going on but I looovvveee it
It's just the matter of practice :) The more you watch with subtitle the faster you process. Besides, for me at least, it would lose some of the charm if they speak other language but their native...

@@jessamae5886I have just found out the spin-off is on Netflix. Does it actually have a good ending compare with this original drama? I am on ep 50 of "Story of Yanxi" and don't wanna keep watching b/c it's so been soooo sad all over with events in this scripts for a while now. I can't imagine the rest of the 70 eps are gonna get happier. 😫😖
@@tweewin The ending was happy ending for Emperor Qianlong and Yingluo but it is also a sad ending for Fuheng. He made sacrifice for Yingluo but it was all worth it. And I must say, this series was great! You must finish the 70 episodes first so you can enjoy watching the sequel. 😁
@@jessamae5886 no, that's why I didn't want to finish this series. I'm already unhappy who she is being paired with. 🤧😭😣 I would rather not waste time for the last 20 episodes and watch a different happier drama (General's Lady) instead. 😟

Xu Kai's Chinese name was wrong spelled it's 许凯 not 許凯 . He hates when fans mistake his name . And even English one is Kevin Xu not Kelvin Xu
The Chinese name is actually right, it's just in traditional Chinese. 许凯 is in simplified Chinese and 許凱 is in traditional Chinese.
not sure if you realise but you literally wrote the same chinese words. plus, chinese isn't "spelled", #justsaying

Setelah sekian lama skrng sy berusia 30 th, menemukan kmbali drama kolosal cina terbaik setelah itu, story of yanxi palace ini. Awalnya tertarik dengan tokoh raja nya, krn belakangan drama kolosal seorang raja banyak di perankan preety boys, tapi tdk brrti anti preety boys hanya selera saya krng suka untuk tokoh raja jika diperankan preetyboys. Sangat pas, bukan ganteng bngt tapi kharismatik, gagah dan menarik untuk peran seorang raja. Juga kostum yg digunakan, sngat tradisional tdk terlalu bnyk sntuhan modern seperti yg lainnya, sangat sangat detail. Ga pernah bosen nonton berulang

I like the series. My problem is I don't Chinese it's kind of like watching watching a movie without talking. The only person can compare the king with is a westerners actor and not sure that fair. But I don't a lot Chinese actors.
