Correction: It is NOT a true ///M. It’s an ///MPerformance. It’s more of a standard BMW firmed up than a true ///M which is next level in driver involvement and enjoyment. (Also see C43 vsC63 etc.) This becomes clearer when you drive both back to back. Ten years ago I had to explain to others working on the Audi brand that S-line wasn’t a “True S model” and they’d point to the badge too. That’s the power of badge engineering, vs the experience of real engineering.
@@CarCounsel is there a huge power difference from m40i to x4m and the comp? Whats the difference of all 3 … really looking into all 3 and for 10k more id take the comp
@@angulo3047 I cannot tell you the numbers off the top of my head - something like 380-510 but as usual they don’t tell the whole story. If you’d like to do a consultation please get in touch via my IG and we can go into great detail not only about the changes but their effects on the drive experience both positive and negative, for each level and option. Thanks for watching!
@@angulo3047 Worth it is very subjective. Some will think so, others will not. I stand firmly in one of these camps having now driven both, and it wasn’t the side I was on when just reading and watching online.
But why in cartoon? 😭
I dialed it back to 25%. The answer lies in the movie ‘waking life.’
Good topic, wished the filter was gone.
Thank you for the feedback. I’ll keep that in mind in future posts.
M40i is still true M thats why its on the badge.Might not be V8 or 500+hp but its still an M sporty suv

I am getting my 2023 X4 M40i
Enjoy it! Not a bad car, just fell in between two stools for me / us.
@@CarCounsel I have the 2022 BMW M40i, what is the difference between mine and the 2023 model.
Since it’s not a car I suggest I haven’t looked into the changes, sorry.
