This was a great tutorial! I have a Brother also and am planning today to use a college logo fabric to put a small applique square on a polo shirt. I plan to use the pre-set square to outline the applique. What I DIDN'T expect was to finally understand what "floating" was. I have been monogramming towels and struggled to hoop the towel! I also loved the tip to keep backing in the hoop when cutting away - so smart! Thank you for showing us your process - warts and all, and keeping this long video online. It was very useful.
I'm new to embroidery. Have se630 - (hubby got me for Christmas). Thank you so much for this video! It's just what I needed to see. Been wanting to do a applique, but seems most want you to download something from a site. I'm on a fixed budget so that's not something affordable right now with all the other supplies. I appreciate that you took the time to show everything. Didn't think it was long, as you showed and explained so much. Also I appreciate that you shared the mistakes and didn't cover it up or cut it from your video. It helps to see how others fix and work thru the problem. I didn't feel comfortable before trying to applique, but thinking I will try it now. Thank you so very much! Don't care that's' it's 4 yrs old. it's still applicable for now.
I am new to embroidery and happened to have found your channel. It is refreshing to see that I am not the only one who has jammed stitches within the design. Thank you for the video. I must go embroider.
Great job. I have been asking how to do this applique. However, no one would tell me. I so appreciate you sharing this. I will make a video of me following your steps to complete this. Thanks so much.
@@CleverDogDesigns I have a black /brown tabby I thought was a boy . So I made a door screen that the mom can jump over with 2 tension rods and fabric I was almost going to make a kitty nursery then I snapped out of it.
As you can see when I talk into this phone it's sometimes doesn't get all my words sell your video it's great to see you when people have problems and we all can learn from them thanks again
Love the tutorial, I have a Brother 900 same machine, I am no expert but I put my top cotton in a glass as it then comes off the spool so much better … I am off to do a heart ♥️…
I enjoyed this video, even if it''s 2 years after originally displayed. It also showed Me how to correct and do some things. Very informative, showed Me how to use My Brother machine also!!!
I really liked your video showing the problems that happen and how to fix it.. I just started using my LB-6800pprw embroidery feature but I'm not one to follow written instruction. Watching you navigate the screen display was truly helpful. Thank you again!!
I really like this vedio just the way it is. I have this exact model of machine and I am so hesitant to try the embroidery part because it seems overwhelming. You have inspired me to give it a try. I know I will rewatch this vedio again. You are a great teacher. Thanks
@@CleverDogDesigns Well I tried your trick this evening. It didn't work. My heart went straight to embroidery. I had about 10 stitches. Stopped it and used a seam ripper to take it out. Now I don't know how you got it to trace, then tack before you embroirded. I need to applique 16 hearts for a quilt. I'm sad. Trying to figure it out. Got out the manuals...so here I go. If you can tell me how you figured this out I will be very 🙏 grateful.
I'm just now seeing this video. You need to purchase some duck bill scissors for cutting around the appliques. They can cut closer to the tack down stitches
Hi Stephanie - enjoy your videos - learned some interesting things. I was using Heat n Bond lite today also and had that same machine problem and I heard your machine make that same sound that my brother pe 770 made. After 3 tries I figured it was the Heat n Bond lite that caused it. In the past, I always used Steam a Seam brand and didn't have that problem. I'm wondering if I had waited a bit till the glue dried if it wouldn't have happened. Just wanted you to know.
I enjoyed your video and was baffled by the stitching on the back. However, when I watched you reload your bobbin, you loaded it backwards. It is supposed to go in counterclockwise. The only way I can keep it straight is to put the bobbin in with the thread coming out where it looks like a “P”. So to thread needs to come out from the left not the right. But I really loved what you did with the appliqué especially at the end with the design in the middle.
Thats so sweet. I loved hearing about tour husband noticing you needed and deserved and upgrade.

Hello ; when can you create another embroidery design with step instructions? Have you ever used the glossy fabric or chalkboard fabric ?
