They are amazing how they power through the water. The symbiotic relationship with the other fish was neat!
Thank you Sunday Morning. You are a family tradition.
For Ziggy. Thank you.
Amazing footage. I especially like seeing the sandworms, and the big tuna looking fish escorting the stingray.
I was wondering about what those were.. they kind of freaked me out..lol.. just kidding!
Pretty and relaxing nature segment. I always enjoy the nature segments. Very relaxing. Especially when I am having a stressful yr.
Fascinatingly mesmerizing.
Thank you CBS Sunday Morning, Rest in Peace Ziggy and Peace to his Family.
Beautiful and fantastic! Thank you.
Nicely done . . . thanks! 👍👍👍
This Nature, Is One Of The
" BEST"👍
Our condolences to Ziggys Family Colleagues and friends.
Hello 👋
This was wonderful! Thank You!
Stingrays are great
Yes, we had one in our large salt water tank back in the 80's to 90's. I believe the barb was removed. Mark and I also had a shark , Lion fish, tangs. Lots of upkeep but so well worth it. Peaceful and beautiful. Mark was remarkable in the everyday upkeep. KEEP THE FAITH PEOPLE.
Wildlife belongs in the wild not in captivity.
Beautiful ❤️
AMAZING ! THANK YOU !
Beautiful, serene,.....amazing creatures! People can "touch them" at certain aquariums, where shallow viewing pools are set up. Some have described them as "feeling" like the tops of portobello mushrooms.
I have done this at the Houston aquarium but not with sting-rays. they come up to people to get loved on like puppy dogs and are quite friendly. (Manta rays? I don't remember)
@@helenboyle9213 Fascinating!
So sad they are kept in captivity.
@@maryfinelli9390 Hopefully not in great numbers. If they inspire a kid & an adult to learn more about them and maybe do something to help keep their species alive, like by keeping the oceans clean. That would be of great value.
@@Davett53 There are ways of inspiring people to learn more about animals other than by imprisoning them. What does that teach them, any way? That it's alright to treat wildlife like property. It's especially cruel to keep migratory animals imprisoned.
Gorgeous!!!!
RIP Steve Irwin
He was a cool guy & dad. Inspirational to a lot of kids, and adults. Very sad, but He never would have blamed these creatures, it was accidental.
@@DM-lc2cf It was his fault.
Nature is lit!
First time in years I agree with what cbs said !!!!! Keep you news like this and you can't lie!!!!
Trump lost, cry more.
0:00 We leave you this morning in the underwaters of St. Croix where Stingrays are swimming in the ocean and camouflage itself with sand
Every time I see a stingray I always think of Steve Irwin. It's crazy how they camouflage themselves. Very interesting but scary too.
Don't ride on stingrays!!!!
Amazing!!!
Chuck in Michigan
Cool

It's amazing how much the Nile River Delta resembles a Stingray when seen from space in NASA photos. Even the silt emptying into the Mediterranean Sea resembles the sand that gets stirred up when one of them "flutters" on the ocean floor. More accurate translations of the Bible use the term, "sea monster" at Ezekiel 29:3 when associating Pharaoh with the river. Coincidence? It doesn't appear to be!
These nature videos should include the intro providing the location
I agree… I so enjoy them every Sunday Morning.. it would be nice to know where They are… although sometimes they do state where They are filming…
location is given above, underneath subsribe button
@@jeanielum5803 Not if you're watching on television
You can read it over the subscribe button. Gives you the introduction information. R.I.P. Ziggy
@@scottd2063 but this isn’t tv, it’s UA-cam. I am sure on tv there is a lead up to the video with info.
3:46 I'm Alex Wells please join Jane Pauley again next Sunday Morning until then i'll see you later for Here Comes the 🌞
Sting rays have bad eyes. Mantas have kind eyes.
Sooo..... if you plan on any beach time anywhere along the Florida panhandle you for sure should know the “stingray shuffle”. UA-cam it and prepare. 1000% it WILL ruin a fun time.
Fun fact! Stingrays love to bask in the sun right at the waters edge. Shuffle prior to entering water. They burry themselves under the sand.
Got a chance to feed these guys. Their mouths are like vacuum cleaners. Another one of God's wonderful creatures.
Where is this filmed?
location is given above, underneath subsribe button
...or, you can just say "off the coast of St. Croix".
@@DianaMartin1910 My way teaches you how to find this info for other videos. You're welcome.
We need our oceans protected agin human destruction! It is the most important part of our survival!
What are those o. The bottom….snakes or worms?
Garden Eals
@@Crottedeparis Thanks. I was wondering about that too.
Welp I now know what rabbit hole im going to dive into this sunday
Let's learn everything I don't need to know about sting rays
An armed and dangerous "stingray" killed the great Steve Irwin, of the Australia zoo. Be careful around them as they have the potential for great harm. I lived in Hawaii for 37 years but never saw a stingray in those waters as I was swimming. StocktonRob
We can eat too
These stingrays killed Steve Irwin, piercing his heart.
Totally a freak accident. They did not attack him. They are not aggressive . The barb is totally defensive, Occasionally people step on a sting ray and then they get gashed with the barb.
You believe that story??
No father's day vids on father's day, hmmm
Not true. The show this morning had a story about Jim Croce and his son, AJ, honoring him.
Why is that fish “ piggybacking “ on the stingray?
Hello 👋
S/he is looking for morsels that the ray may excavate.
Sometimes, we forget about the alien world we have on our own planet.
So beautiful… until I see the eels… they give me the eebie jeebiez.
Have caught a few on the Rappahanock River by the Chesapeake Bay while fishing from the dock. Always let those guys go. Unfortunately people are out with their spear guns on their boats intentionally killing them just because they can.
Humans have a unique idea of racing to the bottom of the intelligence pool
For years, scientists and the media claimed that cownose rays were decimating the oyster population (which, of course, was instead being done by humans). The rays were demonized and bowfishers brutally targeted them. The rays have been exonerated but bowfishers are still massacring them. Ignorance and bloodlust.
World War III Has Begun; How It Unfolds Depends on Us
We think of the Russia-Ukraine war as a local conflict, but it is much more than that; it is a global war on multiple fronts. The war is not only a military conflict; it is also an economic war of attrition. With skyrocketing gas prices and shortage of staples, people all over the world are feeling the consequences of the war.
This war is transforming the entire modus operandi of humanity. Since the dawn of time, we have been accustomed to living by the motto, “survival of the fittest.” By and large, the rule was that the strong determined the rules, and the rules were often abusive toward the weak. Now, it seems like a new mindset has set in: Wanting something and being strong enough to take it does not mean that the world will accept it.
The war, therefore, is being fought on the inside no less, and perhaps more than on the outside. Our very makeup is changing from abusive to cooperative, from narcissistic to altruistic.
It hurts, and it will not happen without a struggle, but it is irreversible. This is the path of our evolution toward the purpose of our creation-to encompass within us all of creation. To do that, we must come to care for it, just as a mother encompasses her child through her maternal love.
The struggle to transition from our current uncaring and mean approach to all creations but ourselves, into wise and compassionate beings is called “the war of Gog and Magog” or Armageddon.
Since the war is about our inner makeup, we can fight it within us. If we object to struggling with ourselves over who will rule-the ego or love-the physical reality will force us to choose love nonetheless. However, it will do so by hurting us in a very physical way.
The war in Eastern Europe is nothing compared to what we might have to endure if we resist the process. The horrific descriptions of our sages and prophets hint at it, and we would not want to live through it.
Alternatively, we can fight this war within us without firing a single bullet. The choice is in our hands. All we need is to continue in the same direction that nature is already leading us: toward connection. If we make an effort to care for one another, even though initially we don’t, then we are moving in the right direction. If we try to resolve conflicts not with guns or even legal battles, but by strengthening the care and friendship between us, then we are saving lives and sparing torments from countless people.
In conclusion, let us try to rise above the hatred and see the human on the other side, who suffers too. Let us think that this war was given to us so we would think about each other more than we have so far. After all, were it not for this war, we would not notice one another. Now that it is here, we are no longer indifferent. Although our feelings our currently negative, now that we are aware of them, we can work on them together and turn them around. These are the wars of the Messiah who moshech [Hebrew: pulls] us out of the ego, and into mutual love.
This was wonderful! Thank You!
