Romania wild camping 04/2023 part 2 - visit to monastery Turnu Rosu, I found old hut

- After another night by the river, I went to the town of Subiu to buy groceries. It was a holiday in Romania and it was a big problem to find an open grocery store. That day I travelled by train to the nearby village of Turnu Roșu. From this village, a red hiking trail leads up to the crest of the Fagaraș Mountains (Munții Făgăraș). A few kilometres outside the village there is a magnificent monastery (Mănăstirea Turnu Roșu) which is open to the public. Nuns and monks live in the monastery. In the meantime, it has started to rain. I ate in a gazebo not far from the monastery. A short distance away, up the red hiking trail, a tourist shelter was shown. The markings on the maps are sometimes not to be relied upon and I was worried whether the tourist shelter would be in that place according to the position on the map. Much to my surprise, the tourist shelter was in excellent condition and there was a water spring nearby.
I am an extreme adventurer and traveller. I am interested in primitive survival techniques and nature. I mainly use my skills when I travel abroad, especially to the mountains, where I spend weeks to months. I have no shortage of extreme situations in my life. I almost died in the desert in Morocco from exhaustion. I went to the Arctic Circle in Lapland wearing only sandals. I do winter hardening, often to the limit of my abilities and much more... I spend a lot of time away from the comforts of civilization, without accommodation, without a tent. I sleep outdoors, in a shelter made of tarpaulin even in freezing weather, only in a summer sleeping bag. I cook my food in a folding wood stove. Occasionally I consume edible plants and fruits from nature. Occasionally I look for food in the garbage. I drink water from natural sources. I go barefoot whenever possible, even in freezing weather. On long journeys I often hitchhike.

Konečne 2.diel, už som sa nevedel dočkať. Uhladený, učesaný štýl videa, pekné zábery rumunského kostolíka aj prírody. Už teraz som zvedavý čo bude ďalej, dúfam že počasie sa zlepší a uvidíme aj modrú oblohu a pekné kopce 🏔

A stým bordelom je to naozaj smutné, majú tak peknú prírodu ale ten prístup k nej je katastrofa
