  • Diabolical teenage girls. Pink on Wednesdays. Endlessly quotable dialogue.
Mean Girls is a modern cult classic teen flick about Cady, a homeschooled teenage girl going to public high school for the first time, where she gets caught up in a giant web of trouble thanks to her school's resident mean girls, "The Plastics." And if one movie isn't enough for you, there was that weird sequel that no one likes...
All reviews are from the site Letterboxd. (Some reviews in this video have been edited for length.)
Background music is "Built This Way" from the Mean Girls soundtrack

Gretchen is, objectively, the best mean girl. The most quotable, the funniest, the most stylish. Gretchen isn’t even a mean girl, she was simply in a toxic relationship and deserved therapy. Gretchen for life.

In an interview, Jo’s actress says that the movie was shot in less than a month (20 days if I recall correctly) and at least it explains a tiny bit on why this movie sucked, but a majority of it was just because the writing was terrible, the acting was cringe, and it completely ignored the point of the first Mean Girls film. Mean girls showcased how teenage girls use psychological warfare to get what they want and to be popular, which they compare to the animal kingdom and how ruthless it is. Mean Girls 2 ended up being a bad Disney Channel movie. The new plastics are supposed to be the most fashionable girls in school but they just look like 5 year old girls going to an Easter Sunday church service. There’s no subtlety to how they’re mean to people. It’s not smart. It’s just very cliche Wattpad bully energy or how Raquelle was in that Barbie Diaries movie. The main character Jo is the complete opposite of what Cady was. Cady was an innocent teen girl introduced to the hierarchy and functions of high school and fell into the wrong crowd which made her addicted to popularity which in turn made her realize how similar the animal kingdom is to high school. Jo may as well have just worn a sign that said “I’m not like other girls.” instead of random characters audibly trying to convince the audience that Jo is quirky and unique and badass. Smh, Tess Tyler should have kept her shenanigans at Camp Rock.

Regina George invented the definition of mean girls back in the early 2000s. Heathers own the 1900s

i just watched nine minutes and 32 seconds of a videos, i regret half of that video, i was foolishly charmed into watching a movie review of the beloved cinematic master peace knows as Mean Girls, i was expecting only the elegance from such a beautiful film, yet what happened next has me so distraught, after around the half way mark, they started the reviews for the film i have avoided for all my life, not to know its plot, its characters, who acts in it, i was shown the horror, that is Mean Girls 2, i cant believe this, who would trick unsuspecting viewers into learning of the existence of something that is a disgrace to cinematography.
all of this is over dramatized except my hatred for Mean Girls 2.

6:14 no, I watched this with friends and we all had a discussion at the end concluding that the other kids should have cast Regina George out socially for all she's done to those people. We knew several kids who were like abusive to other kids in their friendships always digging up dirt. When you stop paying attention to them, they stop being a problem. It's mean but what is it compared to the crimes of Regina?
