Not only perfectly performed, but beautifuly said, you are a true poet
Taylor Stanley is perfectly cast in this piece. The Prokofiev score creates an entire world through which the violin protagonist travels and searches. The Robbins choreography beautifully embodies this, taking much from the language of Balanchine.
Beautiful! I’ve never seen this ballet but Taylor Stanley’s story makes me want to see it someday.
Beautiful! Thank you.
The way the dancers bend their legs with the music around 3:00 is a small thing I love a lot.
Wow! What a great video. NYCB fan here but I hadn't heard of this particular ballet. I like what I see. This in a flattering is Jerome Robbins in George Balanchine mode. Seems more like Mr. B. in style and music choice but not as "storyless" as Mr. B. might have said. Also, I can't recall a ballet where a man lifts another man, 1:30. It may have happened in a Mr. B piece but perhaps I missed that one? Taylor Stanley is very well spoken and a beautiful dancer.
Visceral, magical description ♥️ Thank you, Taylor.
