This was just so precious and special. People overlook that insects also have important roles in our lives and that they all have emotions as we do. They become afraid, happy, and sad, they feel joy and become emotionally attached just as people do. Most importantly they are capable of love. My daughter loves life in every form and has a such deep respect for all living creatures and plants. We've had Wolf Spiders as pets that had free reign of our house, they drank from the dog bowls and hunted for their food to eat in the home, and they chose to stay inside with us. We had a huge female and she had no fear of any of us, including our dogs and cat. When she finally died she came out from the hole in the wall she dug out for her house, laid herself across my daughters' feet, and passed away peacefully. She lived a full life, had babies for the next generation, and lived very well and safely in our home for a little more than 2 years. For our family it was a very special time, the bond we had with her was as precious as any of our other pets. When I see videos like this one it makes my heart so joyful. We are bridging a gap we've never considered before. To have this kind of special and deep bond with a Bubble Bee is truly remarkable. Bubbles are so sweet.
I agree. Our dexterity can get many animals out of bad situations like having fallen in puts, getting stuck in fences, Sheep being stuck lying on their backs and deer getting stuck trying to cross frozen lakes. So many hopeless situations that people can get animals out of.

Bees, ants and other insects communicate by scent, sadly not by the involuntary sound their wings make. Luckily bumblebees from different hives seem not to care when they are on the same flowers but if you tried the same thing with an ant, the other ones would shred it to pieces.
When I can't stand the world, I watch a Dodo video and it makes me feel better. I love that there these incredible people like Shay and Michael on the planet that care for every living thing, whether it be a dog, cat, lizard, racoon and even a sweet Bumblebee named Ruby. May Ruby be once again buzzing away over the Rainbow Bridge.
That cat was sweet, too. If a cat wouldn't eat a defenseless and wingless bumblebee, I would think it would be because it is afraid of getting stung. But no. This one cared.
"When I can't stand the world, I watch a Dodo video and it makes me feel better." ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ EXACTLY! I feel the exact same way! The world is a horrible place sometimes. We can't seem to come together unless there's some sort of tragedy that happens... < I'm thankful we can at least come together during those times! So when I need an emotional lift, Dodo is the place to go. 😘😍
This brought years to my eyes. We are all simply trying to survive, no matter our size. Wish their were more people in the world like you. You could actually see Ruby's character. Fly high Ruby 🥰🥰🥰

Sorry for ur loss & thank you for loving her & making her life great even without wings!! Fly high sweetie!!♥️🐝
Most bees only have a six week lifespan- some male orchard bees only live 2 weeks. Male bees can’t sting. I didn’t notice this bee gathering pollen so I’m wondering if it was a male bee. Not sure, but females bumbles do the essential pollen gathering and put it in their corbicula, which are special hairs on their hind legs that make them look like they have yellow saddlebags. Just some info.
I care for bumbles too 💗🤍💗 our garden has tons of flowers specifically for bees and butterflies. We'd get a lot of tired bumbles that needed some warmth and sugar water. I'd pick them up, warm them in my hands and feed them a little bit of sugar water and some flowers. They all seemed to enjoy being petted too! The longest I cared for one was 3 days. I love every single one of them and always cried when one passed away. I'd bury them in a matchbox with a little flower in under the apple tree. It's the only thing I like about summer, caring for and loving each fluff butt that needs a rest.
Ok, I'm officially blown away! Never would I have ever imagined a bond could form between a human and a bumble bee! You got some great footage of her that you can cherish and share and she will be a part of Internet lore probably forever :)
I mean, it kind of is nonsense to be fair. As Jeff Winger once said: humans can freaking emphasize with pencils, socks, and even beer cans if you crumple them just the right way. It's still made up in our mind, just about any animal out there has intrinsic motivation to stay around big mammals with food wastes or actively dishing out treats.
When I was younger, I bonded with a jumping spider. She was always on my hand, I loved taking her around and she was so curious about the world she was experiencing. Plus, she loved when I brought her to potential hunting grounds and she always came back to me after an hour or so. She passed away a few weeks later for eating a ladybug I think, their blood is poisonous.
See, i know this is something not enough people know about. @@theonefrancis696 Yep, even other spiders! I have actuallly made one of those big dark European House-spiders my pet and never kept it in captivity, started feeding it every single evening at 8PM, and it started showing up every single evening at 8PM near the same location, if i didn't exactly stand where i should have been (to test it) it would start looking for me, and always stand a good 4ft away from me on the wall or ceiling and stare at me from that distance and waited until i fed it, i named it Fred. In winter it would go to sleep above my bed on the ceiling, so that it would feel my body head going directly up against him and keep him warm, it would keep insects away, and never caused any issued, one day he just vanished, and never ever saw him again nor any other spider, presumably maybe his children would be around but nope. And i figured out this is even possible with ants, i am not joking. And this made me a very very smart and aware person today, literally EVERY living being is intelligent. So true!! Such a sweet story ❤️ When I was a teen I came across a pigeon that had froze to the ground. I warmed the ground beneath it to free it from the ice. I brought it home to care for but unfortunately it didn't make it through the night and my dad took it to the vet for cremation. Even though she didn't make it I am glad she passed warm in a blanket by my side and not frozen alone in the street.
Many years ago at the pond near our village there was a young swan frozen in the ice. It was so young it still had its greyish brown feathers and apparently couldn't even fly yet and was left there. Before that my mother and some other people always fed it so it would survive through the winter. It's mostly a farmer village so there's enough food suitable for ducks and chicken around which the swan got as well. Then one day it apparently had broken into the ice on the pond, couldn't get out anymore and the hole froze close again. The fire brigade could rescue it though and after it was nursed back to health they let it free on a river at the next town over where the few swans of the area usually stay during winter. Each year a swan couple returns to the pond to breed. I don't know how long swans live but it could be possible that one of them is still our swan, or maybe one of its offsprings.

Wow!!! A wolf spider!!! Nice!!! 😍
i love this story so much...but it also gives me the heebie jeebies, ha!
You raised your daughter right. To have respect for all creatures and all forms of life is beautiful and is the idealistic example of being human.
Cool but ain't no way I'm doing that lol, I'm afraid of spiders and bees and other creepy crawlies x.x
All life matters. Not the purpose of creatures. What do we contribute btw?
I think this is the true purpose of human beings: Using our inteligence and empathy to be keepers, guardians and caretakers of nature
well said
beekeepers ehehehe
Part of it anyways.
That's what the word husband means. Very beautiful story.
I agree. Our dexterity can get many animals out of bad situations like having fallen in puts, getting stuck in fences, Sheep being stuck lying on their backs and deer getting stuck trying to cross frozen lakes. So many hopeless situations that people can get animals out of.
This is so beautiful. Many people doesn’t realize that insects can have personalities and be so caring.
They don't have a personality.

Such a wonderful couple to help this miracle of nature. Not many people would see the worth, or beauty, in a wingless bee but I am sure glad that she happened across the path of these caring folks. Thank you for helping her, what a heroic thing to do. RIP: Ruby, you were the best!
How so very true 🤗😎
See, i know this is something not enough people know about.
Every other living being, look very different from us, and so their brain and everything else about them works very different than we are familiar with, and we are not able to really imagine how they really work or think...
But that does not mean that they are not intelligent at all, in fact within the last 5-10 years we REALLY have been seeing things that are so intelligently profound from all sorts of living beings behaviour, that scientists are now trying to figure out what it really is, and really means to be intelligent.
You explained it so well.
They removed the wings themself to tell this "wholesome" story.

Me too truly beautiful at least she got to experience that .
“I wanted to put her around other bees so she wouldn’t forget her native tongue” 😭 So flipping wholesome
So cute 😭
Bees, ants and other insects communicate by scent, sadly not by the involuntary sound their wings make. Luckily bumblebees from different hives seem not to care when they are on the same flowers but if you tried the same thing with an ant, the other ones would shred it to pieces.
lol
Say or write that in Germany and you instantly are some kind of Nazi for using the word native tongue xD

I do the same (guess I’m not the only one 😊
Bumbles are very humble, and if your gentle with any critter they won’t hurt you, (except the wasps, they’re angry all the time)

The way she used the past tense made me suspect the ending would be sad.

Awe I care for them too when I see them struggling n then when they pass I Bury them under flowery shrubs!😁✌️
Wow
I catch them every summer and keep them as pets. When there are a lot of them together they give off a sweet scent like a bouquet of flowers 💐
Watch Bee Movie :p

In their own way but it's definitely there!
Just think and be happy that,
For you it was a "mere" month. But for her it was her entire life she spent with you.

Oh my god 😭😭
