Seeing Kaleo live was absolutely riveting. Chilling performance all the way through. Didnt interact with the crowd much, just showed up and fucking DESTROYED their whole set with so much passion and then dipped. Literally was so surreal. Never seen a band show up so damn ready to get down to business and execute at the highest level possible. I really need to see them again. They are one of those bands that is just an unmatched gem in the music industry. Entirely unproblematic, EVERY song is a banger, extremely versatile. A lucky gift in entertainment. Only once in a blue moon does a band as perfect as Kaleo come along.
I want to buy a mustang and ride with this music.

It seems to me that the best Iceland can offer is pretty much the world's best. The cd is exceptional. I can't stop listening to it. It's low down dirty blues, it's rock, it's beautiful ballads. They have it all.

It's quite possibly one of the most unique albums I've ever heard. Every song seems to be a totally different style, and they're ALL amazing! How is that possible?! Most bands have a single style, and that's it. These guys are just fucking phenomenal!
I've only been listening to them for a few months, and they've quickly become my favorite band. Their music has gotten me trough some rough and weird times, and I hope that they become better appreciated, because they deserve all of the success in the world.
Not a fan of frozen food, but their pizzas are pretty decent.

Minor faux pas on the author's lyrics: Texas was only a part of the US slave era for 20 years...it is not part of the Old South ... but it fits the cadence of the melody..so who cares about accuracy
Whenever I listen this type of music, I feel like I'm the main protagonist of some action movies and I have done all the fight and war and now I'm going home walking and this songs is playing in the background and all the people are watching me.

This entire album is slowly taking over my life, but this song has to be at the top of my list
it's been years since i heard such a solid and complete album. 10 songs and each is a bull's eye. no cheap one-off summer hits, you bring some hope to the music world [incorporated]. there are ppl out there dragging their small 'careers' on one hit pulling whole albums. this is not the case here. you rock, kids. keep up the good work, and i'll be looking out for more of you.

first time i heard way down we go was on Lucifer and i've heard it on several shows since including frequency and longmire fell in love with the song the first time i heard it, you just don't hear music like this much anymore.

I discovered this band a couple years ago. They’re amazing. I love I can’t live without you, great vocals and band!! But the devil will never let you free once he has you where he wants you. That’s his mission.
I think that's the point. The slave gives in to his hatred of his oppressor. He thinks killing him will set him free, but it doesn't, it just lands him in prison.
