You can’t be competitive without a competent quarterback. I think people forget what it’s like to not have a QB who throws for 28 touchdowns and 3900 yards.
I liked what greenbean said last week, keep Tyrod Taylor, Jordon Travis,and Adrian Martinez. But I would draft in a later round Brady Cook Missoui.

I think there is more chance that Wilson stays now, especially if Adams leaves too and he gets good contract extension. With Rodgers, Adams and Lazard gone how much cap space Jets have in 2025?
How is he going to produce? He folds up when good corners go against him and now he's going to be the only good wr on the team meaning they can now double him! And don't forget the shit QB who will now be throwing the ball
@@wgarcia2001 He is not going to produce this is rebuilding season, we get young WR and TE and tank deep to get franchise QB in 2026 who comes to already assembled team with staff and coaches doing their job, not like Darnold few years back. That is why we have to extend Wilson and tell him what to expect in 2025

It's bitter sweet in the end
Rodgers and his locker room toxicity is gone. Should never had happened to begin with. He came from the worst season of his career which proved he could no longer move like he used to. Cost the Jets two high 2nd round, and a high 3rd round (for his buddy to please him) and a swap of 1st round draft picks which cost the Jets a highly touted OT that went to Pittsburgh instead.
Not to mention costing the Jets the $75 million guaranteed (up from the $52 guaranteed on his GB deal) and a $49 million cap hit this year that hamstrings the Jets. Or, close to $50 million this year ($33 million bonus on top of his base salary) plus a $62 cap hit for 2026 should he be back. And all that for a grand total of 5 wins in 2 years. What on earth do people not understand about all that? Enough is enough. They finally got rid of this locker room killer once and for all.
That “highly touted OT that went to Pittsburgh instead” is currently one of the worst tackles in the NFL and McDonald was going to be the pick even if Broderick Jones was still available either way
Aaron was slowing down but not even close to being the main reason the JETS sucked so bad this season. The diva & "drama" sh!t is media exaggeration that went up tenfold because of his 💉choice and certain players that couldn't handle being told to "step tf up."

@jimboscooter432 I don't think any of the new coaches were around when Jets draft picks failed. Developing a QB is actually a myth, you need to support a QB with a good coach, OC, system, o-line and weapons. Than you need to draft the right QB.The NFL has failed for years at understanding the position. You draft the traits you see, if a QB can't handle college pressure ,he is a late rd pick at best. If a QB has never run a pro style offense they need to be dropped in the draft, if a QB doesn't show timing, Antipation, progressions on tape you drop him in the draft, if a QB doesn't hit the entire route tree in college you drop him in the draft. The 26 draft is loaded with high level QB's.
In my opinion Ryan I'll say bring in Kurt cousin from the falcons and Cooper kupp as #2 wide receiver next to Garrett Wilson #1 wide receiver bro.

I like a Tyrod/Fields quarterback room.
I’m hoping this is an entirely new approach by woody where he is going to stay out of football operations. The breath of fresh air with all the new hirings not only with the new coaching staff and gm but other staff gives me, U.S. as fans hope and with that it was inevitable that Rodgers was gone. What was he going to get the jets? A wildcard? I’d rather start the rebuild and have patience as soon as this coming season. 2026 there are quite a few QB there for the pickings in the draft so hopefully in a few seasons the jets will have their shit together . We as fans have to realize that it’s a work in progress and be patient and not be ready to attack Aaron when the season isn’t going so well. There’s going to be a lot of ups and downs with new coaches, staff, and players but as long as the arrow is pointing upwards, let get the show on the road. Aaron wants team players and Rodgers isn’t a total team player anyway.

Man unless we find a QB, I think we might have lost Garret, Hall, Sauce and JJ. Why would they want to resign to a franchise that once again waves the white flag. Arod isn’t perfect but we’re eating his cap and he’s competent enough to make us competitive. We’re still on the downfall of this Jets rollercoaster
Hate to break it to you, since you clearly don't watch the draft past the 1st round, and never watch college football, but the Jets have the QB they all need and want to play for. One who won his last 17 games and led his power 5 team to an undefeated season before getting hurt at the end. Leading to the committee to leave out the underfeated #3 team in the nation from the 4 team College playoffs. A decision validated by that team going 3-11 since his departure.

this is good for the Jets in terms of team building but unless they have a top notch offensive game plan to execute this offseason, preseason and regular season it will hurt them.
