@@AveragePDGamer Kinda, you see, in Monsoon and in eclipse the things that matter the most are both mobility and your ability to strafe enemies, your dps is also important too, but healing falls of HARD after E8, which means that you shouldn't get used to relying on it too much as to not feel the dramatically high effect it would have on your gameplay otherwise
It’s really astonishing watching the end credits and seeing how much the sprites changed. Massive massive kudos to the new artist, they absolutely killed it in this game!
For anyone wondering how to get the legendary chest on the final stage (15:38), there is a hidden ladder behind the column of shipping containers (15:09) on the floor above. You can take the visible ladder up to the top of that floor, and around the middle of the shipping containers, standing on the roof above them, you should be able to climb down, into the "vents" below the floor, where you can drop down into the room the chest is in. You can then drop down from that room on the right hand side of it, the floor isn't solid.
Jesus I clicked on this video not knowing the channel name and "Race" is what my grandpa calls me as a shortened vers of my name. So for some reason I read this comment and my heart sank 😭
"They gave him pizza" lmao Thanks for not spoiling the final song, I hope I can manage to remain spoil free until I'll be able to put my hands on the game
Yo this is sick, and I'm so hyped for the dlc! I finished my eclipse climb just a day before the anniversary, and now it looks like I might lose that golden badge with any new survivors. Just wanted to say thank you for getting me started on the eclipse grind, and I'm looking forward to what future content you release!
Thanks for the showcase! If more videos like this are coming, I'd appreciate a couple things. First, more items explanation (either highlight their description and show it a bit longer, or explain them yourself). They're probably almost if not completely the same as in the original RoR, but I'm pretty sure many people, just like myself, have no idea what they were, as they never touched the first game. Second thing, maybe I'm blind, but I didn't see much build optimization variety? Like scrappers/printers or soups. Idk if that's even a thing in rorr, but I sure hope so. Really glad you got early access, Race, looking forward to learn more about the game!
In the first game there were no scrappers and, if I recall correctly, no printer either This may be like they did in the second game, though, where they (the scrappers, at least) got added later down the line
That is my one complaint about this game, I was hoping they would bring in the build management systems form ROR2, because ROR1 did not, in fact, have anything like that
It’s always interesting seeing how people play different character. I feel like I put tons of the air strikes gliding above enemies and then shoot them from the ground when they get launched into the air. Cause it makes me feel like a badass. Pilots just so fucking fun.
9:56 okay it's not just me having serious issues with the ladder changes. God that huntress challenge was so annoying to beat because I'm so used to ror1 climbing.
I would love to buy the game. Unfortunately looks too tiny for me and my eyes cant do much about it. Love you see playing risk of rain man! You are so helpful and chill and recently got me to try eclipse in ror2. Thank you man, im so exited for whats to come in this franchise

come to think of it, lore wise, imagine you could find the lunar teleporter on this version of the sky meadow, what if you don't kill providence and mithrix, but just mithrix, how would that change the lore? he wouldn't be fine with that, but he could just leave you go though, mithrix was a dick.
I think the Primordial Teleporter was locked by Providence, since Mithrix tried to get some of the creatures to allign the teleporter with the moon, but they couldn't do it as long as Providence was alive. I think it is in the entry for a Moment Whole
@@HungNguyen-jk5llI think it's because of the added damage scaling, which you can alter in the lobby menu before launching your run. There's bars for damage taken and damage received in percentages. The original was DEFINITELY not this hard. Drizzle feels like old monsoon if you don't scale things back for sure.
My only complaint about this otherwise perfect game is hunting fir teleporters is still often tedious. The red particles should really extend much further out
By the way, would an eclipse-like gamemode make sense on RoR:R? Despite me playing the original RoR quite a lot, I never became an actual *pro* of it, but seeing Races (surely 100x more skilled than me) playing RoR:R makes me wonder if it's actually *possible* to avoid most of the incoming damage with enough dodging skills. It appears that sometimes you're just overwhelmed with enemies and find yourself in the moshpit... The 3rd dimension surely adds important depth to the movement.
@@lordmastercow I feel like Risk of Rain 1's Monsoon is in the same level as Risk of Rain 2's Eclipse 8. A lot is different in Risk of Rain 1 compared to the sequel, avoiding damage is much harder and sometimes genuinely impossible, so having difficulty based on how many hits you take would be way too bullshit for Risk of Rain Returns
What would be really cool is if they added a level in ror2 that was the providence ship and you could rather do the teleporter boss like normal or go to the main deck and fight providence
My main issue with this game is how spongy all enemies feel. This game is still a challenge at 200% damage done if I keep the damage taken at default xD Game kinda feels better playing that way
they dont deal contact damage like the jellyfish, so their only way of damaging you is usually through their orb attack the orbs are purely visual as far as im aware, the only time they hurt is when they impact their target position, which is wherever you were when they begun closing in so effectively, they cant really hit you as long as you stay on the move, from there its up to you to find timeframes where you can DPS it until it dies
Stage 2 on the tp before activating it, I got blazing golem, 6 of the soul kids, 8 imps, 2 elder lumeriens. I got every item I could lmao tf I do there
In the same boat as you, it seems like you can't get powerful enough by looting the whole stage before the difficulty timer kills you with all the bullet spongy enemies.
