Best Area to live in Bangalore, where urban dwelling is under severe pressure. There are multiple dollars colony in Bangalore now but nothing to beat this one I guess may be the first one, this one is surrounded by Headquarters IAF, CPRI, IIScience, MSRIT and some parts of UAS Bangalore, the best thing is this layout does not have direct access to main roads and hence is it is away from traffic and has more lung space due to large government campuses. Interestingly no commercial establishment is permitted by by RMV association. This colony houses some famous state, national and international Politicians, Sportmans,and we'll known citizens, completely out of reach for the common man. I love this place..been there done that feeling

The actual dollars colony was made by khoday's( liquor people) for NRI's who paid in usdollars ( those days..around the year 1984). Before the development entire area was marshy and villagers nearby used to get their cattles for grazing, it seems. Now a days lots of commercial shopping nearby plus multistory buildings in the adjoining area s is killing the areas
