Amazing lessons. Undoubtedly the best Farsi lessons on UA-cam . I wish these were also posted on a blog or website for download and quick reference . I very much appreciate your hard work in putting these lessons together .
Thank you so much for your encouraging comment and for your suggestion. I do have plans to extend it to other platforms but the only problem has been lack of time for me. Hopefully this coming year I can post more videos and incorporate your suggestion. 🌸
Your presentation of Farsi grammar is by far the best I have seen, and this includes content from print media, as well. You are not making any money by creating these lessons; so, I really appreciate your kindness for all your time and effort. I wish someday you would publish a Farsi grammar book.
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging comment !! It really motivated me to move forward and make more materials I really appreciate it. Please let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions for future videos.
You're very welcome. Thank you for your comment. I'm sorry if the sound level was low. I made a mistake with the microphone and it kind of messed up the sound. But I'm glad you were able to listen to the video. Please let me know if you have any questions, or any suggestions for my future videos!
In the table showing the formal and informal present-tense forms (8:43), it struck me that می is sometimes written with the rest of the verb and sometimes not. How do you make that determination? Or doesn't it matter? Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your question. There’s no rule for that. It’s more optional. As a rule of thumb, sometimes when the verb is short we add the مى to the verb. But it’s not a rule. I hope that answered your question. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
I understood very well, but I have a question here, as you said that this present verb stem will give meaning of both present indefinite, present continuous and future tense, question is, is there any possibility for these types of sentences to make the meaning only present or future
If I understood your question correctly, by changing the time adverb you can make it present or future. But without time adverb or context, we would not know what tense you are referring to ( present or future).
I know!! I'm sorry for that. It's just sometimes life gets very busy and I don't get time to make a new video. I'm trying to get better at this and be more consistent. I recently published a new video.
You mean the verb قدم زدن? It means to go for a walk, or to walk leisurely without a sense of purpose. I think in Spanish it equal to “Pasear”. قدم steps زدن hit More literally “hitting steps” من در پارک قدم می زنم I’m walking in the park ( just going around without a destination or purpose) I hope that was helpful. Please let me know if you have more questions!
@@persianHow Hello, thanks, "pasear" is the correct word in Spanish. I see that this verb : steps قدم زدن hit More literally “hitting steps” My question is why "mi" می is in the middle of قدم زدن قدم می زدن I see that it is a compound verb, so I observed that the conjugation is different. I see that "mi" is between the two parts of the verb.
Yes, that’s correct! For the compound verbs می comes before the verbal element which in this case is زدن. Any modification need to be closer to the verbal part.
Thank you for letting me know. I just checked the sound with different devices and it seems like the sound is there and it is working. It might be an issue on your end. Let me know if it gets resolved :)

@@3boardies You're very welcome. I'm glad these videos are helping you in your Persian Learning. Also, thank you for mentioning the sound. I will see if I can redo the video again. I'm still a newbie with recording and uploading videos and in some of them the sounds is not very consistent.
Thank you once again for making such an amazing lesson about present tense. Initially when I started learning farsi and came to the topic of present tense or to be more precise present progressive tense مضارع مستمر I learnt that to make it progressive you need to attach دار and the verbal ending, e:g من دارم غذا می خورم But if I write this sentence without attaching دار then it remains in simple present tense that is " I eat" ما داریم مدرسہ می رویم We are going to madarsa, but if I write without دار then it means " we go to madrasa. Please correct me if I'm wrong. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yes you are kind of correct, and usually that’s how they teach it. For مضارع مستمر the auxiliary verb (دار) is used but remember it is not strict and rather optional. من شام مى خورم من دارم شام مى خورم Both of them mean “I’m eating dinner” As you can see دارم in this sentence is optional, and without it, it still makes sense and it’s still present continuous. I hope that answered your questions.
I know, I'm sorry about that. I made a mistake with the microphone and completely messed up the sound level. At some point in future , I will re-do this lesson again.

Hi
I like this teaching approach
Thanks,
Arabic is mother language ,still I find Farsi little difficult .
Interesting! 🙂 There’s a lot of Arabic loan words in Farsi, so it will make it easier for you to learn. It will get easier ones you get used to it.

Voice very low
I know, I am sorry about that. I made a mistake with the microphone. Someone suggested if you don't listen through headphone the voice is better.
Without microphone too, the voice is not properly audible. Thanks.
At some point in future, I will re-do the lesson, because I know it's an important lesson.
