Thanks for enjoying that lovely beach and the fun walk. I hope to put you in the tidepools along with me, it's just to beautiful not to share. Thanks for coming along and watching, cheers!
Congratulations on the pet wood! Seriously, it's always amazing to find the fossil woods, even if they're small. To imagine what live tree it came from and from what time period is exciting no matter the size. Thank you for watching and coming on the beach hunt!
Concretion Dude is definitely some sort of mythical beast you could prove existed, but now the ocean will absorb it and you will live with that on your conscience forever. #justguessing 😅 Awesomely informative video, Karen. Thank you for the beach hunt.
Right?! You know when you pass on a weird concretion that it was probably something great and historically significant, doh! We won't have another low tide like that for a couple of weeks, do you think it'll still be there? It would be wild to find it on the beach freed for me, lol. I'll be looking. Thanks for joining me on the beach (from the other side of the world!), hope you guys are having a great time (I have some videos to catch up with!) cheers!
Always a good time when you can hound the Oregon coast! That very was so cool and thanks for keeping some of the teredo wood. It made me happy! And it wasn't God awful windy and cold at the coast! It was a .miserable 42° in Portland with 25 mph wind gust that dropped the temp down to freezing really quick! It was awful here! Has been like that for days now! Yucky rainy, windy, bitterly cold weather! Portland sucks! Lol😂❤
Ooof, I saw that warning for the low temperatures for you guys! I hope you stayed warm at least. We don't get quite as bitterly cold as the valley (thank goodness) it was still chilly getting my hands wet when I did. My hands were mostly in my pockets! I figured I needed to take that cheeto, I'm waiting for a really gemmy piece of teredo wood to come along to pick up for you. Only the best for my girl! And you get your quota of rocks too, right? I'll just pick them up for you. 😁 Thanks for watching, Steinkern!
The beach does all the work! It's so cool finding all the pieces of ancient history there, the views aren't at all bad either. Thanks for coming along, cheers!
This was North of Newport but the sand has already come back in. Pretty much all of the central Oregon beaches (except for Agate beach, lol) have potential, just look for where the sand has been washed off the gravels. It's always changing, so we just take some time to look for where it's good. Hope that helps!
There's some pretty neat stuff out here, but I think your recent haul of shells was pretty noteworthy too! It's great to see what folks can find in their areas, thanks for sharing what you do! And, thanks for watching, cheers!
Nice variety of treasures on a very calming beach hunt. Thanks for sharing the science of rockhounding.

My first piece of pet wood! I was SO excited
It was the size of a toothpick! I had been walking and looking for quite a while

Ha ha talking about Oreo cookies and boom an Oreo cookies add pops up on the screen.
🤣 That's too funny. Sorry about tipping the AI off to showing you cookies! Cheers.
See, you find such more interesting things than I do. Or that’s my perspective not having the privilege of hunting in the north west like you.
