Joe and Kit when watching that kissing scene in the rain said no one kisses like that. Kit said Heartstopper is a rose tinted view of how we want to be in life, open, proud and free to be LGBTQ+. Joe said it tackles serious issues but in a positive way, unlike other movies/TV shows who nearly always go to the dark and depressing side of LGBTQ+ stories. Heartstopper does the opposite, which is why it has become such a success.
In the comics it’s implied that Tao is the reason Charlie was outed, he was talking about it loudly and was overheard, so he has guilt from that. He was also with Charlie the whole previous year when the rugby team, who are Nick’s friends, were bullying Charlie relentlessly so he’s worried that Charlie hanging out with Nick will put a target on his back. All that together with Charlie’s low perception of himself means that Tao can come across as overprotective and annoying, but he’s 15, insecure, and just trying to be a good friend, even if he goes about it the wrong way.
@@robbyten100 Yes, he does find out . He talks to Tao about it in Paris and it puts distance between them because Tao feels useless and horrible, which results in the big event of Charlie fainting in the museum .
This is all speculation by the characters though. Tao thinks maybe he spoke too loudly, and perhaps they had been overheard. He does feel guilt, but nothing about his speculations is confirmed in any way.
I get that Imogen is annoying but I just love how the actress plays her it’s so funny especially the line delivery that became a meme “I’m not like homophonic” “I’m an ally” makes me laugh every time loving these reactions
Totally, I thought the actress did such a good job! It's actually one of my favourite performances in the show. She's perfectly silly and then believably more serious later on.
Rhea Norwood played Imogen flawlessly! She did an in-depth interview about her character with.. I forget, I’ll have to look it up but she based her character from girls she knew at school. And how Imogen is on a journey herself, figuring out that the rugby lads are crap, etc. :)
I kinda like Imogen but I like how hyped she is about everything and she's always happy and excited, I like her a lot. Besides the fact that she lied, I like her personality ✨
The thing I have noticed most people seem to miss is in the first episode… the whole “Hi” thing was that Nick made a point of saying Hi to Charlie every time … the rugby king was acknowledging the gay kid at school in the halls in front of everyone… that says so much about Nick but also it meant so much to Charlie
"He so wants to kiss you, Bro" Thats the most straight ally thing Ive ever heard. Hahaha. Great job guys! Looking foward the rest of the series. Edit: Its hard to like Imogen in the beggining. Then you realize she's super naive, just wants to be happy, but she's a great person inside.
What I liked about Charlie and Nick was that they were two characters that felt safe with each other. Charlie was a social outsider, but after being outed, was more self aware about his sexuality. Nick was a social insider, but was still navigating his sexuality. Where one was unsure, the other was their support system.
"I'm an ally" honestly had me buckled the first time I heard it. I love that because she's so self involved that she doesn't even blink that the 2 girls are a couple like it's not even on her radar. However Harry is much more hateable than Imogen, you can tell Imogen isn't a bad person, just that she doesn't really have an awareness of some things she does.
Exactly. Imogen is great. She's probably 15. Imagine if some adults went back and looked at the cringe worthy shit each of us did at 15? Granted, I was more likely to be sitting reading a book like Issac, but still. She's a good person and a fun character.
I knew so many girls like Imogen as a kid/teenager. They just crush so hard it colors their perception of the other person and renders them unable to objectively look at their signals, and they want to keep hope alive as long as possible, so only a no-nonsense "not interested at all" will work.
The creator, Alice oseman, said that Isaac will have an aro/ace (aromantic/asexual) storyline that will be delved into next season, but nothing has been said in the first season
In the comics, it's mentioned that Nick and Charlie live about 10 minutes away from each other so they're able to relatively quickly visit each other just by walking, or running in Nick's case this episode, to each other's houses.
it were such good times when all your friends lived in your neighborhood 😩✋🏻 by now they're all living in dfferent citites and you always have to plan when to take the bus/ train etc ahhh you just can't be that spontaneous anymore meanehile back then you'd literally ring someone's door and straight up ask If they have time (or in one of my friend's from childhood case : stand infront of my parents' bedroom every morning at about 9:30 in the summer and scream If I can come out play haha)
As some with OCD and very low self esteem it breaks my heart seeing Charlie with his constant apology’s. One of my main OCD compulsions is the apologize a million times, to the point I’ve gotten stuck in a loop saying it. It’s portrayed well and it’s just hard to see this character go through something that torments my daily life but also amazing because I’m getting myself represented in media. I love this show, I relate to Nick so much, being bisexual can be confusing at times and understanding it and coming out is scary 😮 I love how this show represents bisexuality because most shows and movies only depict gay love or lesbian love and never how bisexual people fall in love, etc.
4:37 That's exactly how I felt when I noticed that I was part of the lgbtqia+ community, it's very confusing when you get to realice that you didnt really know yourself that well
Just sitting here realising I did both the Imogen things - clinging onto a guy at a party who I didn’t know was gay, and asking out a guy I thought was interested but he refused a second date lol lol but I didn’t say some guy was dating me just because I wanted it to be true
Probably the only person who started watching this because there was rugby in it, but, yeah. Tried pulling a Charlie once and tackled a prop (I'm usually scrum-half, flanker, or small hooker), bounced off, and was out for the rest of the season with bruised ribs. Will happily answer anyone's questions about rugby! In England, Ireland, and parts of the US, rugby sadly still has a reputation for being very posh and discriminatory, but in the last few decades it's made great strides internationally for diversity and inclusivity on many fronts (race, gender, sexuality, disabilities, etc.). US College rugby clubs were honestly some of the nicest, most automatically welcoming groups of people I've ever met, and I've played many different sports.
I like how you guys were saying Charlie should give nick some clothes… as if it will fit. 😅 Nick is taller than Charlie, and Charlie has a much slender build than nick. Love your reactions!

Nick in the rain headed to Charlie’s house where Charlie thinks he was in the wrong and then reassures Charlie with a kiss >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Not to be that person, being a new subscriber, but why are y’all attractive as heck ?!?😭🤧 I feel like I couldn’t pay attention to the reaction because you guys are really cool and just really chill personalities (not related to the series).
oh my gosh 100k i’m so proud 😭😭
i love seeing you react to some of my favorite series (my name, heartstopper, aot etc.) thank you for all you do ❤🌈
Thanks, Rob! Thanks, Bryce! Thanks, Zuff! 👨🏻❤👨🏻 #ReelTime #EurosLyn #Heartstopper #Heartstopper2022
Such a nice guy 😊
I'm watching this right along with yall. Lol
HAPPY 100k💐
I love this show, I relate to Nick so much, being bisexual can be confusing at times and understanding it and coming out is scary 😮 I love how this show represents bisexuality because most shows and movies only depict gay love or lesbian love and never how bisexual people fall in love, etc.
Ive been waiting all day for this reaction lol
12:10 It’s also low-key a commentary on how teen shows cast some people in shows that have nothing to do with the age group.
100k!!!! Woot woot
Loving your reactions
4:37 That's exactly how I felt when I noticed that I was part of the lgbtqia+ community, it's very confusing when you get to realice that you didnt really know yourself that well
Just sitting here realising I did both the Imogen things - clinging onto a guy at a party who I didn’t know was gay, and asking out a guy I thought was interested but he refused a second date lol lol but I didn’t say some guy was dating me just because I wanted it to be true
REACT TO YOUNG ROYALS NEXT PLS
Yes please 🤞🏻
Cant wait for you guys to do season 2 (I hope!!!)
I feel like Imogen is annoying and a little clueless because of how much she likes Nick but her intensions aren't bad unlike Ben and Harry
You have to Watch looking for Alaska
darcy's gaydar is on point
I like how you guys were saying Charlie should give nick some clothes… as if it will fit. 😅
Nick is taller than Charlie, and Charlie has a much slender build than nick. Love your reactions!
“I’m having a proper, full-on gay crisis.” - Me after having a crush on a fictional character.

10:17 Corporations during Pride Month be like:
14:40 We don’t know anything for sure except that he might be Aromantic-Asexual (Aroace), which technically means he could be queer. We’ll have to wait till Season 2 for more updates.
Hey... donde esta el analisis del episodio 5??
THE Trifecta. :)))
