- Опубліковано 15 жов 2024
- As we come away from the first 4 albums by Metallica, we are starting to explore more from them after they "sold out". I personally don't think Metallica ever sold out, I think they evolved just as any other great musician or band would! No Leaf Clover is my first look into Metallica's S&M Album. If any of the other songs on that album are as good or even better that No Leaf Clover then you guys definitely need to let me know! Many of the viewers of this channel got annoyed when I started to dive deeper into Metallica's later stuff but personally, I think we're just only get started!
Here is my reaction to hearing Metallica - No Leaf Clover for the first time. I hope you enjoy it!

YES!!!! Metallica + Orchestra = Eargasm
Awesome work MB. The Outlaw Torn off S&M is legendary bro.
Outlaw torn and. Bleeding me from the same concert please 👍🏻 awesome power 🎸
Hell yes 🤘😎🤘
Ok, now that you've listened to this song, PLEASE listen to Fuel. It's been too long of listening to Metallica without hearing that song. It's one of the most energetic, upbeat Metallica songs of all time imo
Yes!!!!!
Most definitely!!! Fuel is James favorite song to get him pumped up
Metallica is always welcome!!!
HELL YES!🤘❤️🔥〽️
❤️🔥Yes!! I can't wait for you to see the S&M concerts!! You're gonna love it Dec!! Thank you Molls!❤️🔥😁🤘〽️
I'm so proud to be going on this journey of discovery with you, DH💞 🎶Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel was just a freight train coming your way.
Then it comes to be. Then it comes to be.🎶
Omg I'm so excited to see this video because I've been hounding you for a year now to do this song.
I already know you were blown away by how powerful it sounded and yet still had delicate sounds, it gave you goosebumps and probably brought a tear to your eyes.
Same!!!
Michael Kaimen, the conductor here, conducted an orchestra with Queen. The song was Who Wants To Live Forever? for the movie Highlander
MORE Metallica!!
You would love Whiskey in a Jar. One of my favorites is Until it sleeps.
Until it Sleeps' music video is a work of art!
“One” and “For Whom the Bell Tolls” off the S&M album are phenomenal!
Michael Kamen literally wrote the textbook on music! He LOVED Metallica and heavy metal music. He said of all modern forms of music, heavy metal is the one that most closely resembles classical music.
Preach it, madman!
FUUUUUUUCK YEAH!
Metallica doesn't know how to fail, this was the BEST idea, joining up with the SFS. Been a Metalifan since '83 and will die a Metalifan in the end.
The whole album is amazing
OMG,, the first time that I hear this... so happy I got to experience it with you. Thanks man ❤ that was beautiful 😊
RIP Michael Kamen
I was a concert musician and a drummer and a huge metal head and in 1999 when they did this it blew me the fuck away. Everything I ever wanted.
Its beautiful in every way.
The Call of Ktulu is another MUST watch from this show. Make sure it's this original S&M show and NOT the more recent S&M 2
@artsilva Yeah, the better version of literally EVERY song that's on both releases is the S&M 1 version. I find the crowd way too noisy in the mix in 2, and James's voice was just objectively better in 1.
I like the orchestra and the band playing together. Such a fullness that fills the song . I don't think i could ever hear it again without that powerful sound.
I do agree, Metallica is the best! Their ability to express emotions with music and vocals. I did not know English and already loved them, then I've learned the language and later read the lyrics - and fell in love again!
Every single song on S&M is AMAZING!! You’ll never be the same after that album! GET BUSY…I’m so ready for you to do the whole album!! ❤️💕❤️
This is a whole concert. It is awesome. Hearing your fav Metallica songs this way is amazing. Battery is insane. They would never have done this in the 80s, but 90s Metallica was a different beast.
Its a Freight Train Comin Your Way.....I LOVE this Metallica Banger!
1. Yep, Original.
2. The collaboration between Michael Kamen and Metallica began in an unconventional way and became a milestone for both classical music and rock. It all started when Michael Kamen, a renowned composer and conductor who had worked on film scores for movies like Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, proposed the idea of doing something entirely new with Metallica.
Kamen had already worked with them on the song "Nothing Else Matters," and one day James mentioned it would be nice to work together again. A few years later, Kamen approached them with the idea.
When I went to the cinema with my non-metal friend to see Metallica S&M2 and James Hetfield sang Unforgiven III acapella, I saw this girl secretly wiping her tears. This is Metallica. That's why we love her. Be sure to see this performance
I’ve been waiting for this one! Phenomenal 😄😄🤩
Makes me emotional seeing u . Its what Metallica is. Incredible journey for years and years. Great to see u jump into this journey too. ❤❤❤
This song was written specifically for the first S&M. They did an S&M2 a couple of years ago, which I travelled to the US to see.
Orchestra and metal goes VERY well together. Im not a huge Dimmu Borgir fan, but their consert with an orchestra is EPIC..! And No Leaf Clover great song yes!
Watch the entire concert at some point - it’s epic.
Also, I recall you really vibing with Kirk’s solo from The Thing That Should Not Be in your Master of Puppets album video - it sounds downright otherworldly during this performance.
Not many people realize that metal is structured exactly like classical music. Check out Metallica S&M album
Facts. A lot of people don't realize this.
Original song made specifically with the San Francisco Symphony along with another song called Minus Human.
The album has a lot of their older tunes performed with the orchestra, but this one was written specifically to be performed with the orchestra. Symphony and Metallica is definitely worth checking out to get a fresh vibe on some of your old favorites. Really, there isn't any such thing as bad Metallica. Some of the music on their later albums aren't something I get super excited about. But there are some serious bangers on them, too. Really enjoyed the reaction. Keep that grind going.
Still waiting for the Load reactions. The best area for James' vocals.
Imagine being there, I was. This was performed/filmed at my high school auditorium, the perfect venue for this show.
This is an original and written especially for this show with the SFSO and conductor Micheal Kamen who orchestrated for many rock bands.
Amazing. Best wishes to you. ❤
I like this song and all within my hands two songs they did with symphony
Don't be telling incomplete Story.
Minus Human is the second original Song from this concert/Album
All Within My Hands is a song from St.Anger (the most hated album) which they arranged for the acoustic and then played with the orchestra - 16 years later
You are such a metal head, i love it🎉
It's original, it was specifically written as a collaboration with the San Francisco orchestra!
@@Martin-u2o5z The other original from this album is "Minus Human" (also called "- Human").
It's pretty fuckin stomper, imho!
Album
Metallica S&M
(Symphony and Metallica)
"Of Wolf and Man" and "Outlaw Torn" from this performance are amazing. 🤘🏻 Also, for some more amazing violin in metal, check out Imminence - Temptation. Edit: also Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope. Amazing musicianship.
That's an album that you should listen in it's totality. 🤘🖤
Keep rockin. Peace
Been waiting for this one! (And "I disappear")
“Bleeding Me” is better here than on the original album. And on the album she is already beautiful. James over the top. This album is wonderful 🤩
Personal favourites from this album:
Nothing Else Matters
Hero Of The Day
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Bleeding Me from this concert is epic!!
This is one of the best songs ever , it’s from the album S&M which is symphonies and Metallica. James wrote it for a metal / classical fusion , James wrote the classical pieces . People have used classical music in the past , moody blues, Deep Purple and pink Floyd ( atom heart mother) but this is unique and really innovative because it’s was written by James for the orchestra . Saw it live in San Francisco in the eighties . Masterpiece but Metallica are my fav non prog band . Loved the reaction
You can’t go wrong with Metallica, keep going Molly Boy 😊👏
This is a whole album listen special!
It's awesome you checked this out. Now bare with me. I know St. Anger is NOT everyone's cup of tea, but listen to All Within My Hands (last song on the album, and I actually like it), then check it out from S&M 2. It's like listening to two different songs.🤘
WOW! Great reaction! Your taste in music starts to be really up there now. And yeah, Metallica is the best band in the world. :) I would highly recommend The Outlaw Torn from the same album, S&M. Metallica even made a S&M 2 in 2019, you should check out some stuff from that one as well. Those shows was just a short time before James went into rehab, so he looks a bit tired. Enjoy!
The outlaw torn from this concert!!!
Loved this one! I love zoning out and let the music flow over my body. Awesome! ❤
Best song ever best album ever S&M live with San Francisco philharmonic orchestra...
Fuck, last time I've been listening for this song about two days in repetition. I love it so much!
Ennio Morricone's film scores are great!
One favourite live performance is The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly by the Copenhagen/Danish Symphony Orchestra 😎
Also Master of Puppets from this concert is crazy
Want to hear absolute magic guitarplay?
Joe satriani - surfing with the alien.
Crush of Love too
Ive been trying to get him to listen to Steve Vai Teeth of the Hydra
The album "Metallica & San Francisco Symphony" is so beautiful and harmonious! I don't see many reactions to songs on this album. Nice you had a taste of it. Keep going!
Volbeat - Metallica tribute “Don’t Tread on Me” from The Metallica Blacklist
It really is a good day to be alive..today is 9 months sober for me🤘🤘🤘the reaction was great, Mollyboy you need to check out the whole album. You won't b sorry
Congratulations on 9 months!
@@MollyBoyTVthanx bro..gotta say ur channel has helped..I vibe to ur vids when I'm struggling..
This song was composed BY Metallica FOR this concert. The reason Metallica meshes SO WELL with the orchestra is because they compose ALL of their music as a classical arrangement. That is the process they use THANKS TO LARS. He arranges most of the songs.
Btw- I already know all the music you react to EXCEPT the Metallica. I'm discovering all this Metallica with you, so thanx for that ❤!
Please do the Garage INC album too, that's the covers one.
I really think you could do a series, where you listen to the original and the Metallica version. You've done Turn the Page.
🤘
Anyone who doesn't appreciate Metallica needs to have their hearing checked. Great video my friend, keep it up...
Different style, but check out John Farnham with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra:
“You’re the Voice”
“Help” (Beatles cover)
“Playing to Win”
“Age of Reason”
“Pressure Down”
Great orchestra show with one of the best voices in pop/rock history.
I believe that Michael Kaman, who was behind the S&M album, had worked with Metallica since the Black Album, and No Leaf Clover was written and arranged by him for Metallica.
R.I.P micheal kamen
Kamen was the master
Ecstasy of gold
Call of katulu
Nothing else matters
One
Bleeding me
Outlaw thorn
When S&M first dropped I thought what is this shit. After listening to it many times, I sure changed my mind.
We need that u react to whole album.
WELL GIVE US MORE GOD DAMN METALLICA REACTIONS THAN 1 A WEEK 😂. Rock on dude
S&M one and two are absolutely brilliant including the thing that should not be, battery, call of Ktulu and master of Puppets 😂
Kirk Hammett is just too delicious for words.
AIC "I Stay away" had the violins
You’re right it did! I can’t believe I forgot…
Not a fan of "The Orchestra infusion" But ROCK ON🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
***ONE***, ***SANDMAN****, ***SAD BUT TRUE***, ***KING NOTHING***, ***FADE TO BLACK*** there's so much you need to experience...MORE METALLICA! \m/ (metal fingers up)
I’ve reacted to all of those expect “King Nothing”
Although I’m more of an early Metallica fan. This song is cool.
This is Metallica 2.0 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Both S&M (-99) and S&M2 (-19) are f.....g awesome! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💚🇸🇪
'99 is a MUCH better concert IMO.
Some of the S&M 1 stuff I love
.I think this one was written specifically for the concert. RIP Maestro Michael Kamen.
You definitely need to check out Metallica's S & M especially the documentary of how it came together.
First time i got you live ahahahaha. You should listen to that albun Bro. You're not gonna regret. Rgds from Brazil
For another one that you wouldn't think would work but it does, check out cellist Tina Guo with System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tarkian doing Moonhearts In Space.
Not sure if you have ever heard Burton Cummings from "the guess who"
The man's voice is unreal, check him out.
Great song to start on is "these eyes", enjoy
Love Metallica❤Good choice!
I feel that Metallica has always done things when people said not to. Plays in Soviet Russia... Check HUGE crowd. Cut your hair and its over. .. .. Ya 30 years later and still filling arenas. .. Country song that is (imo) AMAZING! yup. Orchestra and metal.. you are welcome. I have seen them live like 7 or 8 times and the never ever disappoint.
S&M2 is a must to react to!
Not as great as the original S&M
I must stress "The Outlaw Torn" with S&M
I still want you to hear Crash Course In Brain Surgery more than any other Metallica song.
You're thinking of NOVEMBER RAIN
Classical music was the metal of that time. Metal and rock goes hand in hand with classical music.
Get the full S&M concert live for reaction.
Also try Amy Lee doing lycromosis live. classical and rock.
This is a good one! You got to check out another banger by Metallica called The Memory Remains.
And people say don’t listen to anything after the first four albums 🤷♂️
Try The Call of Ktulu from that Samir álbum. Its amazing. Rgds from Brazil
Looking forward to this one
You might enjoy Silent Lucidity by Queensryche - it has a lot of orchestral elements!
Rock and Metal do work so well with other genres. Rock and Opera / Classical is a great team (Queen being a prime example) and also Rock and Rap / Hip Hop per previous videos - and so many artists and genres pull in elements of rock such as Michael Jackson, Kate Bush, Bjork, even East 17 bless them….in short, where we would be without a good old electric guitar
When you hit the holiday season, do Trans Siberian Orchestra's "Carol of Bells". Great mix of rock and orchestra!
I'm that one guy who like Minus Human more
Always have always will
Michael Kamen was a genuis
OUTLAW TORN Live in Germany
