It's impossible to make an M20 sound bad. Meanwhile, it's just as hard to make a 24v sound good.

@@Ericadams-yj7oj Ass. You remove mufflers and midpipes on M50 based motors and they start sounding terrible. This is more of a rule than an exception. You can do some catback systems, headers if you really want to but by god do not touch the middle section or you will risk it sounding like a Honda Civic

Fully built high compression race M20's on e85 have seen in the low 300's already, but these are not street driven cars.

200 to the wheels is tough to get, without spending a ton of money.

For street use the high end ones push about 230-240 to the crank.
Most 2.7 or 2.8 conversions push something between 200-220
