@@azdesertdog Excuse me sir, we need a tutorial for the rest of us of how to properly do it? tools we need to buy , steps, etc....would be greatfull! thank you. Oh and I love the shots and the camera movement and the final ride. I used to drive thruxton back in 2015, and about to buy a bonne t100, so was checking all I can find on youtube when I came on with your gem video! thanks!
Thank you very much Sir, that was nice. As a German I am always fascinated by the beauty of Arizona. The country is widely and sparsely populated, plus the dry heat, a paradise for motorcyclists. I wish you a lot of joy and an accident-free journey with your beautiful Triumph and I look forward to the next pictures from your beautiful home country Arizona... 👌👍
I’m also in AZ, I’m using the Michelin Commander II in 160/70-17 and 110/90-18. The taller tire feels amazing on the gravel roads. I also did a 520 chain conversion 41-17 and DID nitrite chain. The bike feels amazing, fast and gripping on the road, controlled on the dirt. It’s not like my T7 but it’s not lose and scary. My tires last longer and the ride is noticeable smoother with the taller size. I’m SV by the way, if you ever want to hop on to try the desert touring set up. I also made a nice plate diffuser to block the heat coming up on that right foot peg.
Was at Phil Mcallens in Lisburn today. Looking at a new T120, it had Metzeler's fitted, so the phantoms are no longer being fitted at production by the look of it.
The Pirelli's have been OEM for a long time. The motorcycle and automotive manufacturers sign long term deals with tire manufacturers. I would say the old deal closed and they struck a new one. Hopefully this will make the Metzlers more available since they will need to ramp production.
"Desert Mattress" spotted! Lots of those around here too! I've found huge differences in performance of tires for dirt biking! Finally settled in on Bridgestones.
Hello, I have been searching for that style tire for my 2023 Bonnie but having a hard time finding match front and rear at stock size. are you running a 100/90-18 in front?
Good choice. I also prefer dual sports like the Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2. And thanks for leaving a comment on my video (T100 Bud Ekins). Cheers from Germany 🇩🇪
Hey Hello, I noticed a crash bar on your motorcycle that I really like and I would like to install a yaki on my motorcycle. Can you give me the contact details where you bought it? Thanks in advance and best regards
Hi there, just saw your video and was looking at getting the same tires… I am a noob to motorcycles and was wondering as I have the stock rims, I have a hard time understanding the tire fits since the 705 doesn’t have the same numbers for the front. Can I ask what size 705 tires you are using? I do like that scrambler look and slowly converting my 2018 T100 to more of a scrambler look… thanks
Thanks for watching Pete. These are Continental TKC 70 tires. The Shinko 705s are great also. However, the 705s don't come in the 18/17 sizes. The TKC 70s are a great tire but they are pricey. Good luck ride safe.
@@azdesertdog thanks so much… I was looking at the tread pattern on my phone and thought they were Shinkos… appreciate the response and will look into your suggestion
I say time for a hill climb! 😁😁 Do you know if it is a much softer compound than the street tire? Hopefully they last a good amount of miles. Take care!
Man you got that bike very shinning. Oh no the armchair computer expert riders going to trash you for no gloves haha. I know the stock tires on my 890 really surprised me at how well they do on the forestry roads around here.
I would love too. We are hitting 119F/48C in the desert and in the rim country it will be near 98F/38C. I'm going to tap out for a week or so until it cools off. Thanks for checking in.
Bar end mirrors look very odd on this type of bike and these that sit under the grip ... you cannot easily see what's behind you and that's the only reason for mirrors.
Nice to see another guy that changes his own tyres or tires in the USA Well done I think that is a good move
Thanks sir! At least I know they are done right. I also like to use spoke weights not the lead stick on weights.

Thanks very much Stubi. Being able to ride pavement and dirt the roads are endless here. I'm hoping to get a camping video up soon.

If you want to get in touch send me your contact info to the email in the comments. Maybe we can do a Bonnie T100 Desert Shootout 😁
@@azdesertdog email sent. FYI, my Bonnie is Rocking Alpina Tubeless Wheels and öhlins suspension front and back 😊.
I think they look great on the Bonny, and it’s practical for your riding too. Win win!
Thanks Anthony. They should wear like iron.
Nice! Looks like these will add to the enjoyment of your awesome Bonnieville 👌
These are the tires you were riding on. They're getting better with mileage.
@@azdesertdog No wonder it was so enjoyable!

I used to like the Kenda Parker DT's. They worked pretty well everywhere. Heavy though.
I just threw some Adventure tires on my T100. I went with Continental TKC 70. Working fine.
I really like the TKC 70s. They have done really well on pavement or dirt roads.

Hi Peter. Thanks for watching. Yes that is the same size as my 2017. I think mine came from motosport. com

Thanks sir. There are some great ADV tires out there. It's amazing how some of the so called 80/10 tires work in all conditions.

The crash bar is from TRex Racing in Texas. They make great stuff inexpensively. Thanks for watching.
I just picked up a street scrambler 900. What brand tires did you choose? Also how do you like that windscreen? Brand?
I bought the Continental TKC 70's. The fly screen came with the bike. Thanks for watching.

I may take you up on that or some single track 😁. These are a dual compound tire. Hard in the middle and soft on the sides.
What tires did you go with? I don't think you mentioned the brand or model....
I bought the TKC 70's. They have been great. They are dual compound hard in the middle and soft on the sides.
Nice you got the best of both worlds.👌You can't keep a dirt guy on the road too long! 😂
I miss single track so much I'm thinking about getting an eBike. A Talaria. I can't do 50 mile days anymore. It might be the ticket.
Where did you get that tire changer?
Amazon. Its a Venom Bead Breaker Tire Changer. I think it was $100.
How did you balance them after installation?
I have a tire balancer. Works pretty good.
THAT IS THE WAY
Hah! My wife still thinks I'm crazy.

ADV tires are pretty good these days. They don't even have to be that aggressive looking.
Time for some single track!
Haha! It is on the list.
Waiting for another touring video
