I have an 07 C230 and wanted to say Thanks, George, great job helping me remove and clean up my Washer Nozzles. Being at the mercy of the less than honor Mechanic Shops these days who are taking no prisoners! Thank God for UA-cam and guys like yourself.
Best nozzle cleaning and very Informative and helpful! Thank you very much Sir! I got the same black crud out of my jet's! Thanks again for sharing this!
You're very welcome. That's why I do these videos. It's like a "pay it forward" as I've learned to do other things from others' videos when I need to do something. Glad it helped 😎👍🏻
Glad it helped Luke 👍🏻 I found out after making the video that the little piece of plastic where the square hole is where the water comes out to squirt the screen also comes out from the washer unit. You'll need a strong pick to remove it but it'll come out and you can clean that too. Makes a hell of a difference 👍🏻
After making this video, I discovered the little bit where the water comes OUT to the screen comes out of the big square piece, so that can be cleaned too. You'll need a pick not a pin. Something stronger to remove it from the housing 👍🏻👍🏻
The jets may not be handed, but the nozzle may have an aim point and if you swap them over the spray pattern may hit the wrong side of the screen, possibly.
What isn't mentioned is, to remove the grill to access the nozzles, there are NINE invisible, plastic clips that drop the grill from being removed. The only way to get the grill out is to break these old, fragile clips off. To be fair, there is no need for these clips, the 3 torx screws are plenty. My car is clk A209, 2009 reg.
@SortedGeorgeGarage I know it's a different model, but the grill etc. Is identical to yours. Infact, you can clearly see one of the clips on your grill. It also looks like some of your clips have been broken off previously. I'm not knocking your video, it was very helpful, I'm just stating, the removal/breaking off the nine clips took longer than the rest of the job put together.👍
Thank you for posting this really helpful video,, ' i can see clearly now ' (as Johny Nash would sing back in the days 🙂 )
@@sollykhan2385 You're welcome, I'm glad it's helped you out 😃👍🏻

Great video thank you! Got similar issue on my c220cdi so will try to get to it on a weekend.
I didn't understand what a bonnet was until 3 minutes until the video. Lol
🤣🤣🤣 UK version of the hood 🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻
This helped me with my 2006 Mercedes CLK500! I replaced the nozzles instead of cleaning for about $40 US. Thanks Much!!!

Hi George, what is the function of those connectors?
Heated jets so they don't freeze up 👍🏻
spray connectors with wd40 before you try and take connectors and plastic apart. That way you will not break things. they are very fragile.
thank you sir you have probably just saved me £80

They just come out covering an area roughly between 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock (a bit less) 👍🏻

Ah I see. I didn't noticed any broken clips so maybe someone has been in there before me 😁
Glad the video helped out 👍🏻
@@SortedGeorgeGarage it really did, thanks👍
Thanks George. I got a 2004 CLK and sure it's the same method.
Glad it helped Sal 😀
