Happy for you bro. Once one person has in family encourage ALL family members to do annual checks ...i'm talking about cousins second/third cousins....everybody, because it can skip generations. Also keeping healthy with diet & exercise is key. God opened my eyes to this disease when i was 19 yo, now i'm 45 & ALL glory to God i can still see. I've seen the best doctors & done 1trabecular (excuse the spelling) & 1 ALT over the years. Still use drops from then to now. This disease doesn't go away, but must be managed. Think of it as taking your vitamens everyday & it'll become easy. I take my drops on time everyday, my diet little or No processed sugars most times, rice probably once per month, flour probably twice per week.....i do have a little honey in my coffee, little or no fried foods....i do not drink juice unless it is fresh squeezed....most times its just water. The purpose of this sort of diet is to maintain good sugar levels & avoid diabetes since it is also in my family. Thus far i have no diabetes and have lost 32lbs...moving from 189lbs (height 5'8") to 158lbs. It is tempting to eat "nice" stuff but i tell myself NO everyday. Stay strong folks, & God bless.
