This is the best single Blondie has released since Call Me. And a fan has just mentioned that it ain't a single after all. Someone eventually realised that Blondie is too old for Radio 1, and instead the record coma -pony has released the bats. The Mother thingy. Good song and all, and Blondie wandered through it in the record studio in a kind of okay going through the Blondie motions, the sound turned down. The best version of this particular song is live at the isle of wight. It kicks.
I TRIED to not play this again and wait for the release of the album, but after waiting several months I found myself here once more. Also, glad I waited because it reminded me that this song/album is EPIC!!!!
hope my daughter's high school class is dancing to this after the game - sounds a lot like they did back in my day - plastic surgery or not, Debbie is still one of the hottest 65-yr-olds around......

As much as i love Blondie and like 'Mother', I can't for the life of me understand why this is released as a single ahead of 'What i heard'. 'What I Heard' is a much more commercial track (far stronger) and would receive air play. Still at least something (anything) is getting released finally.

I remember reading some where that one of the upcoming songs had a working title of "Scarface". After a few listens to "What I heard" this song sounds like something from the movie Scarface. Musically it has this "feeling" of that movie.
Just one surgeon worked on Debbie -- two lifts. He's about 90 now (no shit) and she essentially maintains -- no sun, eats well, gets rest, has fun (can still party 'til dawn)... As far as fillers or other non-invasive treatments, it's anyone's guess. Adopted, she certainly has fantastic genes.
