Charlie is basically another flavor of Summer Okita Alter, only with a bit more Battery to his name and some gimmicky buffs that range from 'Great!' to 'Great Pain in Your Arse!' If you already got her or are planning on trying your luck the next time her banner gets a Rerun, give Charlie a skip unless you're an ultra-hard core fan of the pretty boy. If not, then he's a quite serviceable farming unit that has some more dubious CQ potential if you have a keen mind to work around his S1's gimmicks, so I'd say he's worth summoning for those with Skadis or the capability to pull off classical Superscope Tri-Loops.
Honestly you can loop with one skadi but you’d need castoria a friend skadi and either waver/reines and he needs a 50% batter ce
I'm not sure they'll even add Rex Magnus Carl. Charlie said in Extella that if he were to be summoned it would likely be in a form that is half Charlie, half Rex. I don't know his dialogue, but if you look at his 3rd ascension you'll notice his armor reinforces that half-half theory of his

I don't think he is a must summon for players who already have saber okitan, summer and anniversary is close so if the next anniversary servants is a quick castoria and you already have okitan it's better to just skip him and save your sqs

Just a correction I can see, it looks like it says his 2nd skill is mostly for himself and not for the party. The defense against divine and damage against demonic are showing as being just for himself.

just my opinion, I don't want a "quick castoria" for anniversary. Looping more efficiently is cool and all but that really shouldn't be the focus of quick gameplay right? Plus a "quick castoria" will make Skadi irrelevant? Going for broke and thinking that something like a support that allows a Noble Phantasm to "crit" is better. It might be broken immediately but not really. You'd need that NP crit effect to be an from an NP maybe and will take effect the next turn, also even if you do get the ability to crit NP, you still need to fill up the stars about 30-50 (60 to ensure 100% coz there are 6 clickable cards) to get a good chance
90 stars, actually. 50 for the normal card, 10 for each NP, and 10 more for the extra card since we are alrrady being crazy. Altough, of course, it's impossible to actually use all that.
Maybe they will make more skills that's are consuming stars? A support, who's target able skills will all require to activate some stars, and in exchange, he will buff quick and np, since Skadi buffs crits.
I think it’s honestly just the tamamo to Castoria deal if we get a better quick Supp. Yes tamamo is no longer the best pick but that doesn’t make her worse, just gives you less reason to use her over the new top tier support

@@erjohn5404 at base she does but he has a ton of different trait bonuses he can hit. So without trait yes she beats him in np dmg but with trait no he stomps. Overall I’d say that their relatively equal Charlemagne just has a much higher dmg ceiling

Extella doesn't have BB or Kiara so I stopped caring about the Extra-verse after CCC, my mild interest in Charlie is based only in real world history. Of course, I just wanted one copy of Kriemhild, so the game gives me freaking 2x Charlemagne instead...

Rex is king in Latin, and Magnus is big in latin, therefore big king
Magnus Dong is the IRL version where as Charlemagne is the "fantastical" version of him with more of the mythical feats

idk, the fact that he needs hits sucks. If it's a difficult boss, your supports will die and you won't be able to cast 1 skill normally. I got it on nf5, but I'm getting more and more disappointed. If there are three servants, then in my case hits on him are minimal.

He is not a must summon if you have Okitan summer both are quick sabers and she loops a bit better, he has to get hit to deal more damage but they are almost the same unit.

Genetically speaking, Charlemagne is the Genghis Khan of Western Europe, it’s entirely possible
Personally, if you have Summer Okita Alter or other high tier quick Servant like Caren, then Charlemagne can be skipped
Caren has the issue of while yes she can loop with black grail her dmg is still on the lower end. Charlemagne is comparable to summer okita but at the same time yea you can go with either or but Charlemagne has a higher dmg output
@@amari7782 Caren already got an NP upgrade and her damage is lower than Dantes only for 1 turn when he uses his ATK buff skill. In other turns Caren deals more damage than Dantes + being able to use Black Grail means she'll be dealing more damage than him by the regular
Summer Okita Alter deals more damage than Charlemagne, both with NP and facecard crits, outside of his niche target(Demonic) and special buff stacking. She has higher base ATK stats and higher total buffs than Charlemagne, so no way he can deal more damage in general.
@@TheAnaz41745 in total buffs it’s really not by much.
His quick buff is higher over due to having res shred for 3 turns and a 40% quick up with his skills abd passives vs okita who needs her np and since his quick up is on a 5 turn cooldown it’ll be out much more consistently.
Charlemagne’s dmg can start to ramp up more with res shred stacks and trait. Demonic enemies are relatively common so he won’t really have trouble hitting trait most of the time same when it comes to critting against evil enemies as well. But again.
He's definitely below the likes of Artoria or Altera, but if you got him then you're good.
Not really mana has a much higher dmg ceiling that then and is just as self sufficient as okita alter summer.
Just wait 7 anniversary and the new quick support

No, but he is described as to being comparable to a high end top servant (in lore) such as karna and arturia, but strictly speaking he can't be classified as a top servant cause he wasn't a servant in the first place cause Charlemagne has 2 legends the knight (this guy) and the king (Karl) because of the fact that they are the same person they share the same saint graph, but because of altera in extella history he got his own so now both are separated entities in the throne of heroes and in seraph, but he is still classified as Karl so only one of them can be classified as top servant.
@@YAC2513 you are correct Karl is the one that is classified as top servant, but is not that he is that much weak, there are 2 factors as to why he isn't the top, the first is the one you said and the other is that Charly's existence depends on Karl's so if Karl is attacked then Charly gets the recoil of the damage too. And there aren't that many that knows Charlemagne before being king, so many don't know that he was actually a really amazing knight that didn't had anything to envy towards people like the round table knights.

@@hydrargyruschaldaecus2572 his name after taking the throne isn't just Charlemagne a in many kingdoms and cultures when someone is name patriarch they gain a new name be it because of religious reasons, dissatisfaction with the name or in Charlemagne case he wasn't the original heir so he didn't inherited the previous king name, but when his brother died and he was declared emperor his name as monarch was changed to Karl but because he was already recognized as a great warrior before being king (reason as to why there are 2) his new name wasn't adopted by many.

@@ulq4065 keep in mind he does have scaling quick res shred and his crits do more dmg against Evil enemies which is fairly common so his dmg can scale as the fight goes on

@@Aki-hb1jy Kriemhild can compete with ST Berserkers like Vlad and Galatea despite being a 4*. There are many good ST option Berserkers, but she is among the top class
