5:25 Interviewer says all of Baker's films are a message about sex work, which isn't true. His films center on marginalized communities on the edges of society. Don't forget about Take Out and Prince of Broadway
oh my god you guys get so butthurt about every single mf thing. this has been said by almost all reporters and every outlet and he has never complained, as a matter of fact, he's spoken out about this so I don't know what your problem is.
The reason why he and others who I have know are interested in "Marginalized" people is because he grew up in a life of privledge. He had a Father who was an Entertainment Lawyer and has never had to struggle. People who have lived it , do NOT want to talk about it.
I don't agree with that at all. He even points out that to make these movies he works with a lot of people who are all willing to share their stories with him, who are happy to help. In fact I'd go as far as to say that people who are marginalized most of the time can't tell stories of struggle because they never get the chance to, even though it's important to tell that story
@@oxey_ No, but it's an actual thing that I have seen many times before . People who come from privledge are drawn to lives that they would never have to live. two people can have identical dreams and abilities. If you struggle, as most people do at some point, you are living a reality where money is always somewhere hovering over every decision that you make . On the other hand , a person completely free from that and who never has to worry, lives a whole other reality. It's something that I personally deal with every day.
Génial merci pour cette interview !!
