    Hey Nick and Helmi!! That's cool you guys went out to a couple of spots for Malaysian food! That banana leaf dish with the rice and curried chicken and chicken tikka looked AMAZING!! Those are 2 of our favorite dishes, but we've never had it Malaysian style!! The fish head curry looked delicious too.. nothing better than putting that sauce all over the rice!! YUM!!

    WOW... Durian ice cream... we have never tried it, but have told if you've never eaten it, you're probably not going to like it, unless you grew up with it!! LOLOL We know Helmi could never finish an episode off without some sweet delicious dessert! You got to love the fortune cookies and that was a PERFECT fortune for Nick! He got his exotic princess!     It makes sense that you have to pre order.
    That's also how you know it's fresh and just made.
    Same thing happens with paella and rices in Spain. They might have it and you can order but the goooood places you have to pre order at least a few hours before

    Isn't it always nice when you get free stuff when you sit down for your meal. Those shrimp crackers are amazing. We get them from the Asian market once in a while! That one dish.. Hokkaien reminded us somewhat of Chow Mein.. just a darker color. That kind prawn dish, looked amazing and so crispy. We will take a plate of those for sure!

      Definitely comfort food. The banana leaf rice was about $13 so like 40ringgit 😭 definitely not cheap like in Malaysia

    Never seen that fried dough with peanut sauce but that looked interesting!! We bet that sauce smelled amazing. Love Helmi's jacket at 8:25 soo cute!! Love the second spot you went to with the old style décor. Usually restaurants that the décor hasn't been changed in 20 years, always has really good food!! Because if your food sucked and your décor sucked... you'd be out of business!! LOLOL 😂🤣😂

    Banana leaf rice! Love it a lot and enjoyed eating it so much. Had a great moment when we had it in KL last time. So freakin good!!
    I guess the one you had in this video is a great introduction to banana leaf rice, the authentic way.
    Too bad that you can’t wash your hands, because it will taste much better when eating with hands 😆
    Always bring your wipes + hand sanitizer when go outside maybe next time haha

    When I (HK) first tried the Hokkien Mei, it reminded me of the jjajangmeon in Korea. The texture and a bit of similar taste, too. It looks yum! that restaurant seems like a very good place to eat out.

    for the banana leaf rice at camellia are you able to add the sides and do they provide sauces over the rice like how malaysia does it?

      Yup u can add extra sides. For the sauce, i think you can always ask 😁 i just pour my fish head curry sauce to my rice and nick's rice and so happy with it already 😋

    That's funny that this place says they have no bathroom LOL!! So what do the employees do?? Hold it for the 8 hour shift? They do the same thing here at some restaurants.. they like to play games with customers and say they don't have a bathroom when they DO have one, and here at least by Law.. you MUST have a bathroom for guests if you serve food in your establishment!! We would have been annoyed if we couldn't wash our hands either! LOL

      Yup pretty sure they have bathroom for staff but not for customers hahaa.. normally other places will have toilet too here

    hahah the fked up trolleys behind you, looks like a rough area. BUT the food looks good! nice colors. Helmi "just trust me" hahaha I can't do the fish head. My mum loves it. It's very malaysian. Very interesting how the owner wanted the warung style. It's cool! aaaaah fried pork lard the secret lol always so yummy. Big king prawn! that's right nick not too much batter makes it good! hahaha can't leave without dessert! Nice fortune. HAHAH Nick's one is so true!

    Ahhh no sink no wonder. Helmi definitely disappointed not to eat with hands. We’re so used to eating it with hands that it looks strange seeing fork and spoon 😂

    No sink to wash hand LOL , bruh is literally located next to the entrance ( right handside ) and they do have a toilet but is for staff used only , for the safety reason customer aren't allowed to enter the kitchen area is a common practice on all small shops.

    LOVE Fish Head Curry! Im Malaysian and can attest that Cemellia is a fav amongst the Malaysian community

    No bathrooms?!.. a lot of the restaurants here in NYC don't allow access to their bathrooms due to covid, getting good at holding it 😱
