Another important thing to know.. is that the videos we see have had Sinjo (audio engineer) mix them. The live experience was not necessarily the same. I loved Dice’s rounds.. but live, there were massive issues with feedback.
I also imagine that Dice *may* have lost some originality points for using two tracks that we’d heard both of before whereas Robin’s were both new rounds. I could be wrong about that though. The crowd isn’t always a good indicator of who is going to win. A track can be hype but have bad mixing, feedback issues, etc. Often those audio issues are removed for the videos we see.
I watched this video several times when it dropped. I get that dices round were more hype, but u have to appreciate Robin's unique style of music. His second round was a tribute to his friend who just passed. But if dice would have won this round, I truly believe he would have won the whole thing.
Christheodian was who beat Dice last time, another French looper. Lots of people thought Dice was robbed that GBB. But that’s why the “After Christheodian the French will beat you twice” line. Keep in mind too, that while that repetitive part at the beginning was happening, he was silently creating the drop in the background so it would be a surprise.. and it worked very well.
Dice was on point. Everyone expected robin to do robin but he stepped up this year to go outside his normal zone. They are both phenomenal. To me, this round was easily the best out of the whole competition. This should have been the final .
The main thing that made Robin's first round special was the sudden shift and long buildup. He made a really long loop, which on itself is hard to do and keep on time, but he also silent recorded almost the whole second drop within one loop cycle. Very difficult to pull off live, but he did it flawlessly.

Haha nice réaction brother, you cant be accused to fake your commentary ! Robin's style is different, he doesnt do crazy drops but all is incredibly precise and clean. And he brings emotions. That's funny you didnt like his first round's drop, its one of the craziests of the competition because he designed it in secret while he was playing the long funny sing, so that was totally unexpected, nasty, and yet super clean Its sad that Dice left the competition so early because he is very talented in my opinion, and we wont see him for a while because he has to go to the Corean military at his age. Dude, that’s not very kind. He explicitly stated that he doesn’t have much experience with beatbox. And even if he did have experience, people are allowed to like different things to the judges. Also, spoiling the entire GBB winner was not cool.
I found the first round incredible, sure, but if he found it boring then he found it boring. It's better that he has an honest opinion I disagree with than for him to lie for my appeasement.
