A year ago, I changed my youtube algorithm by watching videos valuable to me like this one. Now, I feel unstoppable. Technology is difficult to avoid these days, the least I could do was utilize it at my advantage.

I feel like that is the modern interpretation of alive time vs dead time. you could be letting social media and endless scroll feeds consume your thoughts but instead you use that time to your advantage. Learning and investing time into yourself. Good on you mate

Been doing the same, it’s been a few months since I began, you become what you see and the fact that an algorithm can shape a person is scary, yet amazing if utilized properly.

Basically, here're the 5 rules of Robert Greene in my own words:
    1. Make creativity your goal, not comfort.
    2. Just focus on improving your knowledge. No need to impress others.
    3. Don't follow what's conventional. Be unique, even if you think it's a bit risky. (Of course, take risks in moderation)
    4. Do stuff that you enjoy, not stuff that would give you security (like financial security etc.).
    5. Believe that everything you do in your time will make you learn something, even if what you're doing doesn't necessarily contribute to your ultimate goal.

Great! Just one thing, “harness every bit of time” is wrong. You need a little dead time for the brain to recover. I did harness every bit of time for over a year and got very good at what I did. But then burned out, even though I did what I love and even started to enjoy every moment of learning. Now I have slower thought and lower deep thought thresholds, still after 3 years. Let the brain recover like you let your muscles recover after working out!

So we do have to stay focus on the art, and growing more skilled at at we do regardless.. Just for the love of the craft. Your awesomeness will become understandable if you let it😎💯💯💯‼

Really great video, I learned a lot. There is one small issue though, and that's the use of Mandela with the concept of 'Alive time'. His becoming of President was more a result of dynamic political changes and events that took place outside of Robben Island, his time in there wasn't much of a factor in determining his candidacy for the presidency. Don't think he is a good illustration for the point, and it's misleading.

    • @nupuryadav2877

27 years of prison is a long time, he could have drifted with the ideologies which are all pervasive, instead he chose to be who he was! He could have been a bad president even if the post being served on plate.
Great leaders are the way of making us understand how simple action and inaction can make a huge difference.
      It's not misleading. Period.
