Some people need to understand, theres a LOT of basic pokemon with 50 hp. You can win a point turn one rather consistently if you draw well with skarmory. I dont know if tools and support can be used at once, but Giovanni can increase that one shot potential.

With Manaphy I could see a Starmie EX and Palkia EX combo doing wonders. Starmie with the 90 chip damage with Palkia basically clearing any pokemon that took that chip damage that retreated to the bench.
Thanks for the summary, I was so lucky to pull my absolute Chase Card Darkrai Ex Rainbow Twice and Weavil EX Rainbow Once, but i was due some luck with my first 600 packs so far

I get that fossils are hard to build, but at the same time, I see this as their biggest strength. Best example is the Onyx Kabutops deck, where you're always guaranteed to start with Onyx because of it's paired with a fossil. I mean, if you have a good deck plan, pairing basics with fossils can be the secret sauce.
I'm most excited for Dialga EX. There's so many interesting things it can ramp up that it's gotta be good somewhere. Off the top of my head there's Melmetal, Yanmega, Pidgeot EX, Lickilicki EX, Tauros, and Mew EX. I'm also pretty interested in the whole electric package in this set with Shinx, Electivire, and Magnezone complimented by Volkner. If I knew what burn did I'd be interested in trying out Magmortar too. What stands out most about this set to me is that 1 shotting heavy hitters isn't gonna be much of a thing anymore for anyone other than Charizard EX. There's so many bulky pokemon and that cape is gonna make them even bulkier. The bulk of these pokemon combined with the big numbers on the attacks could push Pikachu EX out of the meta because 90 damage might not cut it on a 120 hp pokemon
Burn does 20 damage each Pokémon checkup compared to Poison which does 10 however each checkup they flip a coin and if it’s heads they recover from the burn You can find info on status conditions in the tips section in the game including confusion
Palkia in my Gyarados manaphy deck is a monster! You only need one copy, and it’s a game changer together with Cyrus since you do 20 damage on all Pokémon and can switch whatever you want for an upcoming Gyarados attack
I don’t have Palkia but 1 Articuno ex for the same effect and less energy, together w Manaphy, Vaporeon and Gyarados (not ex). With cyrus works pretty well.
I definitely think you're undervaluing Palkia as just a frontline wall. The current best Gyarados decks in tournaments that run Druddigon to stall have started to sub one for a Kangaskhan. This makes their matchup into things like Pika EX and fighting decks, which can reach past Drudd and hit theit bench, more manageable. Palkia EX will be a straight upgrade to this.
Except this "wall" gives your opponent 2 points and Cyrus now exists. She's right, this game did Palkia a bit dirty when you compare it to Dialga and Darkrai.
According to pokemon-zone, set A2a (not sure it will be double pack or just 1 like Mythical Island) will come out on 28th February and set A3 will come out on 30th April. We can expect every 3 months we will have new AX set and every 40+ days after AX came out to have AXa set according to these patterns.
Lots of new cards but the top 3 decks of mewtwo EX, pika EX and gyarados EX (maybe a different water EX but a water deck nontheless) will still see tons of play, since they all got sizeable buffs. I definitely see Weavile/Darkrai EX, dialga EX, egg EX and fighting toolbox being top contenders too, but there are lots of possible decks to try out. Infernape basically replaces charizard EX in its deck since it pairs really well with arcanine and moltres. Garchomp might be viable since it gets to use marshadow and drudd+rocky helmet, so with most EXs being 150 hp or lower (without cape) you can 1 shot with cynthia then revenge kill with marsh. Togekiss is definitely less appealing but it might work well with mismagius since there aren't many viable psychics to go in a mismagius deck and most are stage 2 anyways. Volkner is really good but will probably only run either luxray or electivire + some fast electric type like pachi EX or either electrode. I don't think there'll be any new meta decks aside from the ones i mentioned, and i also think the 7 first are gonna be the top dogs, but i'm probably wrong.
Dialga for me since I'm a Dark and Fighting type user. Dark Mass outbreak in 3 weeks will help with Sneasel and Weavile or get enough points to buy them outright and Cyrus card too
Only wanna say everyone said Gyarados is just "okay" because he needs to Evolve, weak basic Pokémon, needs Misty... And after abusing Celebi 24/7 Gyarados is the King of the game now xD

@@winterheat It's literally $2,000 The percentage increase in performance over the 4090 is the same as the actual price increase so it provides zero extra value also if you plan on getting a laptop with a 5090 it is like a quarter the performance of the desktop variant, also scalpers will probably upcharge the thing by $1,000
I genually think that infernape is too slow. The only thing saving this mon is the no retreat cost, bc its litteraly a stage 2 that can only attack 1 turn then have to wait 1 turn to do any damage after that, and you cant put energies to do multiple attacks back to back since he lose ALL his fire energies... I dont think it will be good enough, we'll see
My guess is they'll have a support card in third set that will support hippowdon and rhyperuor. Hopefully. In my opinion Torterra is thw sorrest loser....tho I still love the guy

I don't think Dawn works with Darkrai because you need to attach energy to Darkrai specifically from the Energy Zone.
