Hey! I understand some people are a little let down with my coverage of the event and I'm very sorry! We were so swamped with the car, track time, and meeting subscribers that filming was not the #1 priority and I really only filmed my experience of gridlife when I could (editing at the track was also kind of tough). There were a ton of other professional video guys covering the event that were constantly filming so if you'd like to see more I'd imagine there would be a bunch of great videos later this week!

Lol holy shit that was me @ 6:57 doing my robo walk to get out of the shot. Gridlife was great, especially shooting people with water guns with Alberto lol. Definitely can't wait till next year! The 9 hour drive from Arkansas was definitely worth it!
I have to say Alberto built you one solider strong motor. You've beaten on this SR so much and everything else has had the normal issues/broken but the SR is staying strong. You are so ready for more HP (2j s15) and it's been so enjoyable watching your progression from your first drift event to now. Looking forward to the future videos. Who agrees with me! 🤙🏼
Adam I absolutely love the videos! You've improved so much since when you first started. But you're doing something I've noticed that can kinda mess you up. When you're locking the rear with the hydro, you always generally clutch, but I've noticed you never keep on the gas. I know it'd be impossible if you were also braking while ebraking, but if you aren't, you can give the car gas so you don't have to worry about bogging once you get back into power. Keeping the car within the powerband or at least giving it some power can help smooth out your transitioning. It's something I've been doing for years and it seriously helps. 1:56 is what I'm talking about btw!

Adam, take a lesson from us turbo miata guys. Use inconel turbo studs in the manifold with Stage 8 turbo locking nuts. The nuts will prevent the turbo from ever coming off and the inconel studs don't stretch. As a result, you don't need a gasket between the turbo and manifold.
He's building a new engine for it already and it's not a new engine at all. if you've been watching his channel for the past year you would know that. he's been wanting to do it but he already has so many projects as it is

You can either safety-wire your bolts, or use inconel nord-locks (look up nord-lock videos) to prevent those bolts from loosening, which should keep the bolts from sheering and keep that gasket in place. Another method to keep that bolt "tensioned" would be to use the cone washers from a 4G63s turbo bolts (pnMR187848, two per bolt) and that would also keep the tension on the bolts so it won't loosen.
Then he'd be dealing with customers and wouldn't have enough time for his own and Adam's cars which are both necessary for his current and upcoming content.

🍎If the turbo flange bolts get over torqued by more then a few lbs they will snap with the extreme thermal expansion. If bolts are falling out you should press in studs to replace bolts. Explore different brands of flange gaskets and anti seize helps everything stay intact, i know it sounds like it wont but it does. That looked like so much fun!!

That's not entirely true. Plenty of people have trailers wrapped and put way more miles on their trailers than Adam ever dreams of doing. If he puts "Non Commercial Trailer" or "Not for commercial use" on each visible side, he's in the clear.
All you need for the Turbo issue is "Inconel studs, and Stage 8 Locking Hardware". After you install that kit, the only way for it to come apart other then you taking it apart? is if you literally rip the threads out some how... just a thought
You could drill the nuts in the corners and safety wire them. It keeps them from backing out. We do it to our helicopters for everything. Almost ever piece of hardware is safety wired, and the aircraft sees way more vibrations than a car could ever produce. It's seriously worth a look up! Hope you see this.

Adam I went to one of the drift events the day that u put in a no radiator for ur 240 and I believe that was on April 1st. I enjoyed watching everyone that was out there and it was actually my first time going to a drift event
Gasket solutions (possibly) 1. you need a flexpipe (idk if you have one) 2. are your nuts losening up over time and break? lock them somehow, locking plates for example 3. WORST CASE!-> weld it shut, i've seen some highboost applications on sr doing that, its a bit extreme tho
Adam to stop exhaust gaskets blowing out you need a flex join in the exhaust and factory Nissan nut locking tabs. Think of the exhaust as a big breaker bar on the turbo moving it around, massive leverage. 😁 ps cars looking awesome!
There are different style nuts you put on those studs. Then on the downpipe side. Drill beside the studs. Tack them in. Grind it flush then they don't back out.
You need to run a flex pipe desperately or change your mounts. I think this is a result of the motor moving to much and the exhaust staying still or vise versa. Good luck 👍🏽
I can see with my experience you will need that s15 2jz to start drifting with confidence close to the tandem opponent. With the amount of power the 2jz will make you will love it, basically the sr is holding back your potential☺️
Are you using a downpipe w/flex joint in it. Turbo nuts coming loose on sr20 is common when you don't have a flex in the exhaust. Also use OE Nissan locking tabs for the turbo nuts if possible.

The engine is moving too much. Reduce the engine jerk some how and it will stop breaking.
