By the way, I enjoy Swiss Chard in a grilled cheese sandwich for a bit of fun color and crunch.

@@TimJameson-jg8sl hi! Thanks for your comment. I’m about 45 minutes north of Dallas, so I assure you, still in North Texas 😊. Sorry to disappoint you!

It is usually best to think of Texas having 2 short growing seasons, one in the spring and one in the fall. Few things can survive our summers. Growing up we never grew a fall garden, but really it is easier to grow a fall garden of cool weather crops in the fall than in the spring. Your garden is looking good.

I beg to differ for west Texas at least. Our summers are 100 to 110 daily, but I have a booming green green garden full of veggies. It's all about how you plant and water.

@@dreamangelsgarden5078 very true! Having good soil and proper water will help most things survive in the garden.

@@dreamangelsgarden5078 I used to live in West Texas. Most things people grow in a garden can not take the high heat no matter how much water apply. Beans, tomatoes, squash, even watermelons do not like the heat. Cow peas, okra, and corn can handle the heat, but even then you have problems with pollination, except on the okra. Would like to know what you are growing now. It does help that you are in a much drier climate.

I was happy to see this until I found out that I'm, I guess, in the north north north texas.
