Man there is just something about these old school cards that make them look so much nicer than the modern art styles. The new anime archetypes actually look really nice when in a coherent looking deck but wow old school cards just have that power to their designs.
Man back in the day I played Gravekeepers for my anti-chaos hate with Soul Release. 17 years later and its fun to see it fully optimized :) Haven't played since about 2005 so this is some great stuff to see.
These old school cards and decks are hugely nostalgic. I'm so glad they reprinted a lot of these staples in Bonanza, most of my old school decks are now blinged out to the max.
Warrior monsters were some of the best, Don Zaloog, Marauding Captain, Exile Force, DD warrior lady, Goblin Attack Force, etc. Maybe shouldve throw in there a Jinzo and Raigeki. I remember I also had some power up cards like United we Stand, Mage power and axe!
Bringin the bling to goat. Side deck looks like it needs more hate for the mirror. 2nd mobius, brain control or 2, xin zen hu are the options I see the most

I would put the second Des Wombat in the side, you could never have enough protection from burn. And poking under Gravity Bind might be the best game plan, if you can't see your backrow removal
Hes got plenty of dark monsters, and with ROTA he doesnt need the effect of sangan, and if he DID he could just run a third ROTA Jinzo stops your OWN traps as well so thats the kinda card you would wanna build the entire deck around if you wanted to use it
Upstart almost made it in, but I like having backrow presence as a bluff or to bait a breaker/MST/heavy storm. You can’t do any of that with upstart. Upstart is great because you can use it immediately but this deck doesn’t require immediate draws like chaos turbo or reasoning gate. Also jar doesn’t give your opponent 1000 LP which isn’t a big deal in the aforementioned decks where you’re working towards an unbeatable board, but when you’re just causally summoning one beat stick per turn to wear down your opponent and pressure them each turn, giving them 1000 LP isn’t great. Hope that explanation made sense 😅
@@soundwave9560 abyss soldier is very situational and without a water monster it’s pretty useless. I’m not a big fan of it. With tribe, you are usually only using it when things get dicey and you need an out, so at that point you’re well beyond the help of a sinister serpent. Do you pitch whatever isn’t helping you the most
I think the kinetic soldier and des wombat would only beat only players who just refuse to read imo as they're both super weak and easy to play around. I think maxing out the king tiger or even considering an aura priest as a way to beat goat/chaos control, running Mobius/Xin/brain control for mirrors and relying on s/t removal and wok for burn will serve you much better.

There isn’t much use for it here. The only discard card is graceful charity so playing sinister doesn’t make a lot of sense
