      You Nailed it man !
      I used to stay over on the weekends and some weeknights and I would sit at the table and eat with the family while he sat infront of the tv/computer screen with his plate of food getting cold next to him.
      In 8th grade I started spending more time with my girlfriend and hamham came up to me with an envelope that had $8,000 in it and said he wanted to give it to me if I spent the summer hanging out with his dad so he could get some work done online and not have to go fishing with his dad.
      I accepted but not just for the money but his dad is a great father.
      Me and his dad spent the money at an amusement park in the north called kings mountain, we got a camp site on the lake resort and went to the amusement park every day for a week.
      First time I ever drove a wave runner too.

Kratom is truly a miracle for many, many people! I will ALWAYS fight for & advocate the use of Kratom. It can help & save so many people, & it’s SAFE. It should not be banned or made illegal, it should be researched.

      Yes. I think I may have Multiple Sclerosis and have had chronic pain for a decade. Got off the pills. They were making me dope sick if I didn't take one every four hours. So would end up taking more than I should just to feel "normal". Then obviously run out at the end of the month. Then were the horrendous withdrawals. I finally found Kratom and I feel like a new person. I still suffer from chronic pain and fatigue but after I take some Kratom I can do the things I need to get done around the house. I'm a stay at home mom . Kids are getting older but they still need me. If it weren't for Kratom all I would do every day is stay in bed. That's not living.

      Barbi Button and don’t leave out the damn insurance companies! Both would be in a world of hurt if people used this instead of their cash cows....OxyContin, Opana, Percocet, Norco, or the ones they use to get off heroin and opiates...suboxone, Methadone.
      Also some people could possibly eliminate anti-depressants and/or anti-anxiety. Those meds are extremely important to both big Pharma and insurance!
      I’m not saying it works for everyone and I’m not saying anyone should stop taking their meds...maybe this is a boost for them or maybe they replace. The only drawback is the lack of regulation in preparing it.

    The only reason it was illegalized in Thailand is because the Thai Govt was taxing the opium trade at the time, and they found out people were using kratom leaves to get off opium. So they banned it to raise money for the government. They are in the process of legalizing it but their law system is far different than the US system, so it will likely take years.

      J fazz well I’m currently on suboxone as well bud. It’s been a long journey trying to beat this addiction. The Kratom helped for awhile but it’s just like anything else. You will build a tolerance and it will still give you withdrawal when you try to kick. I’ve been on subs for 8 months and started getting into lifting weights has drastically changed my life. I hope to try and get off the subs soon. This addiction is one that some will never be able to understand. It will make you bow to your knees no matter how strong you think you are.

I just dont get it my dude i was on them for 3 years. Not trying to be a dick just use kratom for a week after you quit subs and youll be clean off everything. Its all mental after the forst week or so. Just make sure you TAPER

    • @lg1199
      @lg1199 6 років тому +10

      vinci vedi vici lex talionas the reason I got on subs is because nothing else was working and I kept relapsing. I have good medical insurance with the company I work for and it covers the cost of the subs completely. So I don’t have to pay a dime for them. I can take a sub and I don’t get high. It just makes me feel like a normal person. So I can live my life in peace and not searching for drugs all the time consuming my life. I have got my life back because of this. Happiest I’ve ever been. So it works for me. For now. I’m not blowing money on drugs anymore and my behavioral patterns have completely changed. I will eventually taper off the subs. It’s a long process and the doctor I have has a 90 percent success rate with all his patients. He has over 30 patients that went through the program and have been sober for over 5 plus years.

      Kratom extracts are something else. They are really potent but you gain a tolerance to it really fast. Naringin helps to increase bioavailability of the alkaloids in the body as well as make the effects last longer which can help combat having to constantly increase your dose. Me personally I get by with kratom tea. Its just as effective as extracts but I dont gain much of a tolerance either even when dosing 30-40g a day of Red Horn

    This stuff is amazing. I was on pain management for 22 YEARS and decided to get to off a huge dose of morphine and Percocet cold turkey. Took some kratom and had ZERO withdrawals! I now take kratom once or twice a week with no withdrawals or problems. I absolutely could not take it on an empty stomach, which is what is recommended for pain relief 🤦🏼‍♀️.

    • @mje19D
      @mje19D 6 років тому +12

      Arthur I feel slight withdrawal symptoms but they are minor. Exercise usually helps if necessary. It is important to identify addiction symptoms like that and to not feed into them. By that I mean, never allow yourself to get to that point. Take it for a few days then take a break. Too much of anything can be addicting. The actual chemical addiction is far less than prescription medications so with some self discipline it is easy to navigate.

      I'm totally for the legalization of this stuff and I'm an advocate for what it does for opiate addicts, it's far safer and a much better alternative. But to say it doesn't get you high is untrue in my opinion. I've tried it many times and depending on the dose you definitely get a opioid/stimulant like mood-altering affect. I mean it literally is ITSELF an opioid. Granted it's nothing like the destructive opiates such as Oxycontin or methadone but you do get an effect from it. That being said im still a die hard fan of kratom. I've seen the amazing things its done in terms of getting people off of far more addictive and destructive drugs.

    Three words you never want to hear in Thailand, "try the durian".
    As far as Kratom, i would bet it is illegal because the very wealthy corporations have a monopoly on kratom. They don't want rogue farmers causing a price fluctuation. I'm sure corporations have bought up the entire Kratom industry just like they've bought up every other industry on this planet.
    Edit: come to find out the reasons for prohibition on Thailands kratom is far more sinister. Kratom was made illegal in the early 1940's to prevent the Thai people from having a powerful remedy to curb their opiate addiction. During the 1940's the Thai government made a substantial portion of its money from the illegal sale of opiates. Each Thai opiate addict represented a significant amount of $ towards the Thai governments revenue stream, so they didnt want their people quiting. Plus, when you factor in the exportation of kratom and the potential ability for addicts outside of Thailand to quit with the aid of kratom, in their didgustingly greedy minds kratom possed a substantial threat.

    I had a terrible addiction to Kratom. I think it’s important to realize it’s negative aspect as well. At first I was buying Kratom in a liquid form over the counter. The first time I tried it I fell in love. It gave me the same euphoria as prescription opiates but was readily available at head shops and even gas stations (in Louisiana). I would take Kratom once or twice a day, but after a while of using it I was taking it 10-15 times a day. It’s effects were less and less and I needed more and more. When I finally realized I had a problem I tried to stop on my own. The withdrawal was brutal, very similar to opiate withdrawal. I actually had to go to a medical detox center for 2 weeks and they detoxed me from the Kratom the same way they would an opiate detox. And while some will argue it’s benefits, I am providing you a very real firsthand experience that wasn’t good or beneficial. Be cautious. If it’s too good to be true, it usually is.

    I used Green Kratom to treat a slow-healing back injury. I used it daily dosing every 5 hours. I didn't realize how deep a hook it had until I went cold turkey. After 26 hours I started to understand this was going to get worse before it got better. If I could sleep that would be one thing but I knew I wasn't going to be doing any of that for days to come. So I dosed back up and figured out a detox regimen. I reduced intake by half a gram every 10 days which eliminated the difficulties of detox.

    I just took my morning dose of kratom and im about to do my homework... im a disabled veteran and single father of 3. Due to my PTSD and degenerative disc disease i was on many medications including 2 types of opiates... I have been off all pharmaceuticals for 5 years and have taken kratom daily in place of them... I have since earned one degree and will earn my second in december. I live a normal life due to this plant and have become more successful than I have been in years.

    While Kratom definitely has it’s benefits for healing, helping addicts wean off of their drugs, and medicinal properties, it is still not as safe as you think. I’ve seen and heard stories of a lot of people that take Kratom for it’s medicinal properties, end up abusing it and being addicted to it. Some people have been hospitalized and went into seizures. Please, be careful with any substance and do your research before you jump into something, this thing is no joke or walk in the park.

    I rode a motorbike through Surat Thani province. This is just how I remember it. Lots of rubber and palm oil plantations, and it was so hot I almost passed out. I visited a huge bat cave in the jungle. Didn't try kratom but I did enjoy some local fruit. I believe Thailand had legalized kratom. I really miss that country.

    So many people are still alive and out of prison because of this. They're contributing to society and being present in their family and friends' lives because of kratom.
    This is a lifesaving option for many. It should be protected by law. It could also create a large economic benefit, similar to cannabis.
    Love these farmers! Bless you 🙏 ♥

    I've been taking kratom for the past month. It's really great. It's amazing how much it has helped me with stress and pain relief. About a half hour after taking it you notice you are much more comfortable. Kind of like traditional opioids but I wouldnt describe it as a high. Your mind is more at ease and you stop worrying about things and are able to focus on what you need to be focused on. It's great for someone who has anxiety all the time like me. It really works and it works way better than CBD does.

    • @angrypastabrewing
      @angrypastabrewing 2 роки тому

      CBD is great too, but it doesn’t do much to make you happy. That’s where THC comes in, and it’s healthier to use the THC eatables. As much good Kratom can do to improve your life, I feel like THC is better because it gives me great insight on my life, helps me lose weight the lazy way (seriously lol), helps me with stress, moderate my alcohol cravings, and makes me happy on a crappy day. On a plus side, Kratom and Marijuana is the best drug combo. I prefer to take weed first, wait for an hour or two before taking my Red Maenga Da Kratom for more an energized happy vibe

I was going to do the taper off methadone but it takes a damn year and last time I went from 180-124 pounds it was so bad for so long. So I'm gonna get my 3 Carrry's and taper myself off it. ALSO, where is a good site for the Red Vein Kratom?

    Kratom saves my life! I will fight to prevent it from becoming illegal. It comes with trade offs however, and withdrawal from it after a long time of daily use can make for a couple of bad days, but so can caffeine. It’s no big deal, and I’m saying that as somebody currently going through the withdrawals and feeling seriously shitty. It shall pass.

    I feel for those farmers and their families. What they are growing helps people and it puts food on the table for the farmers (not to mention the vendors and shippers)
    Its a plant. A beautiful, God given plant; created to sustain health and well being. How foolish to place it in same schedule class as heroin (which is created to hurt and destroy lives with no medicinal value). Kratom is a Win Win for everyone. Think I will make some tea now. Peace.

      Heroin, the hydrochloride of diacetylmorphine, was considered a wonder drug when it was created. Showed amazing results and was more effective then codeine or morphine in respiratory diseases.
      Not saying I'm ok with how it's turned out, but the fact is the vast majority of it is created by criminal enterprises for the sole point of supplying a demand and making money.
      It was created for a great reason and was a promising treatment. Your opinion on its creation is purely that, your opinion and not fact. Was just trying to clarify for you.

    I had high hopes for his episode, but it did nothing for the American community of Kratom, they need to make a American doc about this drink and the community around it, and show the world what we are like, and the reasons we use this, for anything from pain to a non-alcoholic lifestyle, I was in hopes that this episode would educate the public with a real possible influence on the FDA, this episode just might even hurt out community.......

    • @MrPlatinumfan
      @MrPlatinumfan 6 років тому +2

      okay.. how would it hurt the legality of it? Hamilton's not trying to sway people's opinions with this content. He's simply conveying information. The FDA doesn't schedule drugs based on public perception when It comes to safe and effective plants/substances. It decides solely based off whether or not it cuts into the profits of companies that fund them. I hope it changes soon because right now money incentives control the policy
