Lewis was not even in the racing line, which is the left side. and kimi still forced himself to go to the left instead going straight to the right. Hence, the move from Lewis to the left and he was surprised that Kimi was there. But I guess common sense does not apply if you're a hater, right?
How come Sebastian got a penalty for blocking sainz in Austria but Hamilton didn’t for blocking Kiki and Sirotkin (in qualifying)?? Somethings going on
@john m Yeah, keep using bullshit to cover up for Hamilton. It's never Mr. Blessed fault, it's the others for being on the same track as God Almighty himself! Talk about petulence!

700 place grid penalty for Vettel for touching the cones. A formal apology from the FIA to Hamilton for Kimi and Sirotkin almost running him over while he was driving all over the place.
Mercedes fan detected. Vettel should have a penalty for murdering the F.I.A's scales and Hamilton shouldn't be held accountable for the incident, but it wasn't Sirotkin's fault. Raikkonen shouldn't have gone around Hamilton in the way he did, but that was his choice.
@@jomillen5131 what are u smoking, hamilton obstructed kimi'a hotlap, kimi had to lift off it's a no brainer penalty but ofc they do that shit to vettel to turn the attention off of Hamilton
I couldn't care less about Vet/Ham fight right now, but what Lewis did was really dangerous and could have ended with disaster for both him and Sirotkin. FIA should be consistent with penalties, just like Vettel got penalised for an arguably less dangerous block on Sainz at Austria. But then again, Lewis wasn't penalised for corner cutting Turns 1-2 in Mexico 2016, blocking Grosjean in Silverstone 2017 and crossing the Pit Lane white line in Germany 2018. He seems to avoid every single typical penalty situation in the past 2 years, so I dont have any hopes the FIA will act. Maybe when somebody gets hurt, they will smarten up and Ham will lose his privileges...
Vettel is sure getting a penal ty for hitting that cone.. lol. Byt Hamilton get nothing for that. Fia is bought by Mercedes. IF Hamilton gets somthing it is only please Hamilton don't för that next race.
vettel was penalized for endangering marshalls and refusing to turn off his engine during the weigh, i don't like vettel but don't complain until you know the situation
@@kobemengelsforeverrr I never said vettel was in the right for doing what he did, the FIA had every reason to investigate his incident. What baffles me is why is hamilton getting away with endangering himself and 2 other drivers regardless of whether they were on flying laps or not. Anyone who has the slightest idea about f1 rules knows that you're not supposed to change your line like that when a car is approaching you at high speed, that's textbook dangerous driving right there.
I know right? How the hell Vettel not get a penalry for almost running over the offical, damaging the scales AND going off before being lowered down. FIA FERRARI INTERNATIONAL ASSISTANCE.
@beefcake502 wtf beefcake, you have to be off the racing line BEFORE someone comes your way. If you are sitting on the racing line so sirotkin has to pull to the left and then hamilton even pulls left aswell causing an almost crash, then thats not "leaving the racing line". It was way too late and at that point he shouldnt have done it anymore aswell
What rules? Those are not rules, those are agreements between drivers, Sirotkin has any right to heat up his tyres and go faster if he wants to, he wasn’t breaking any rule. It doesn’t matter if it was an out lap or not, Lewis saw the blue flags, he should have moved from the racing line, instead he waited 2/3 seconds sleeping in his cockpit, and then he moved from the racing line, that’s NOT what you’re supposed to do, that’s the way to cause a crash. The fact that he is on an out lap might determine the penalty, which I guess was right not to give, but it definitely is Hamilton’s fault for not leaving the racing line sooner and that’s clearly impeding.
Vettel didn't get a penalty, what are you on about?! Sirotkin and Hamilton were both on outlaps, so Lewis didn't know about him, and since Sirotkin is in a much slower car, it made no sense to overtake Lewis on the last corner before they both go for a hotlap. In Raikkonen's case, Lewis was in the "middle" of the track because he was getting off the racing line to let Raikkonen through, but Kimi decides to go around Lewis. That's not Lewis' fault.
What Hamilton did to Sirotkin and Raikkonen is ridiculous. That's not how five time World Champion should behave. Also a true star of today's qualifying session is Leclerc.
Well we know what Hamilton said of Sirotkin: "I don't know what he was thinking. We all know to keep a gap. It was a disrespectful move. I was trying to get out of his way and then he got to the corner and slowed up. It was kind of strange"
Hpesoj Ogladih- No one gives a sh1t. If you like racing watch the race. Unless you can overturn the decision and give him penalty. Which you can’t. I suggest you shut up.
@john m there were blue flags for Hamilton, you think he has a right to ignore them? are you stupid or what? btw Sirotkin's hot lap was still spoiled later because of that incident.
john m - sorry John, but maybe you are the stupid one here😂😂😂😂 besides watch your language, and don’t accuse people if they don’t preach what you believe in
With Sirotkin, they were both on outlaps, and Sirotkin tried to overtake Lewis into the last corner, before they both go for hotlaps, in a much slower car, which just doesn't make sense, and is why Lewis got caught out, and tried to give the racing line, but Sirotkin was coming in too quick. Since Sirotkin wasn't on a hotlap, Mercedes didn't tell Lewis in advance that Sirotkin was coming in so quick. For Kimi, Lewis was getting off the racing line, but Kimi decided to go around regardless, that was Kimi's choice.
Okay so Vettel fan ... rules are rules and then you drive into Lewis and dislodges his headrest and then nothing happens !!! Rules are rules when it suits you !
@Futt Bucker They were assholes to wave Vettel onto the scales at such a crucial point in the quali. By doing that and not penalising Ham, there's no fucking doubt who they favour. Corruption does great things.
@Futt Bucker actually Vettel did turn off the engine, you can hear it in the clip. Also like the other guy said Vettel being impatient is justified because he wants to set a lap before any potential rain and the drivers cannot choose when to get weighed
@Futt Bucker the way you think is just funny. Yes vettel was in hurry because ferrari was trying a diffferent strategy with softs in q2. And you have to break the physics rules to be faster on a wet track than a optimum dry track, its not about driving skills, its just physics. Vettel's acting was not right, but without acting like this in this situation there will be no long stint strategy for vettel.
FIA logic: Lewis blocking 2 cars very dangerously - no penalty Vettel "not" turning the engine off - 25,000€ penalty "C'mon what, what... What did _they_ do?"
Was Vettels case investigated? And Vettel failed to stop and follow the protocol at the weight-in and broke it so wtf else did you expect? Fucking morons...
To be fair you are sugar coating what vettel did. He broke protocol and also broke the weighing scale. Those events cannot just be summarised by saying vettel wanted to get out quick. However in no way am isaying what hamilton did was alright though.
@H.I 21 Hamilton: Drives offline to move out of the way for Sirotkin, who proceeds to drive offline to pass him, and has to wait until last minute for Kimi to make up his mind which side he's driving on. Rightly not even investigated! Vettel: Proceeds to play chicken with a marshall, coming very close to running his leg over with a powerful piece of machinery whilst hurrying him out of the way. Oh, and that pedestrian is holding a sign that says: "Brakes On". Hmmm.... yeah total jokes this FIA.
@@jomillen5131 25000€ for Seb5 for destroying a scale and nothing for LH44 for ruining a Williams run and almost causing him to crash. So I don't think this applies.
@@jomillen5131 agreed. But even if the Williams was not on a hotlap whatever injury that could have been caused would have been real right? Which means it was dangerous driving indeed.
actually sirotkin is magnussen of the day. ham and sir were both on their reconnaissance lap and there is an agreement between all drivers which mentions no overtaking in the last sector of the outlap so everyone can have a clear track position in the hot lap. sirotkin did not respect that that rule and neither did magnussen in monza
Breaking news: Salty Ferrari fans are complaining for no reason! Honestly, I don't understand what you are whining about. Vettel deserved a penalty, but didn't get one. Sirotkin wasn't on a hot lap and therefore had no reason to be going so fast. Hamilton stayed out of Raikkonen's way, but Raikkonen decided to go the other way round. I am not a Mercedes fan by the way.
Why the fuck would you give him a penalty? There were a lot of these types of incidents so far this weekend and none of them resulted in anything. If any other driver would have gotten penalty for that, you would be crying how fia kills the sport with their penalties.
If they improve as much next year (as well as having two great drivers in kimi and giovanazzi) they could even be up at the top end of the midfield next season
Mohamed Thanks for being factual and polite, contrary to some other Hamilton "Fans" who insult everyone that wants a penalty for Hamilton's behavior as a crybaby.
nope. both hamilton and sirotkin were on their reconnaissance lap and there is a an agreement between all drivers that overtaking is not allowed in the last sector of the outlap, so everyone could have a clear track position. so if there is anyone to blame, that is sirotkin for not sticking to that rule.
The stark contrast between Lewis Hamilton not getting penalised and F1 fans didn't bat an eye, but when Max does it and gets a reprimand, people are crying maFIA and favouritism. It's literally a popularity contest now.
@@Xiiong And the fact that it looks like Lewis blocked Sirotkin on purpose (Clearly see Lewis looking in his mirrors) and Max just had drift because of cold tires. The F1 community used to have so much class, sadly the fans changed into football hooligans...
Sirotkin’s incident? Yeah maybe lewis couldn’t see him because of the altitude change and the corner (Even though vettel got a penalty when his team didn’t informed about other cars and blocked others) But impeding kimi? Man it was so obvious!!! HE WAS RIGHT ON THE RACING LINE!!!!! I’m not saying that lewis was wrong... Those things can happen since these cars move so fast... But the problem is FIA not being consistent! Once you give a penalty for impeding, keep doing it consistently! You’ve got those complicated technical regulations right? Then make one for penalty procedures! Please be consistent FIA...
I'm fine with him not getting a grid penalty, what I'm not fine with is the fact that the FIA did not even think of investigating him. They should've given him a reprimand and ended it there.

You're an idiot, if anyone should have got a penalty it's Sirotkin for not knowing what the fuck he is doing. You don't overtake a faster car on an outlap, he is a moron who shouldn't even be in F1.
This is a Normal day in f1. Teams know that there will be traffic and sometimes miscommunication can happen. It's a teams responsibility to tell the driver who he should let or the driver behind is on an OUTLAP or on a flying lap. You are immature to watch f1.
Zero you are stupid dude , it was Siroktin who was driving like a maniac on a FREAKIN OUTLAP, Hamilton did nothing wrong ! LMAO you people should stop commenting until you actually understand this sport !
SHAME FIA SHAME. Nice "Investigations" Hamilton impeding 3 times, twice on Williams and Once on Kimi. Even the reporters from Germany, as well as these from the video state that this should be a penalty, but hey stay biased. Punishing midfield teams like Force India and punishing Vettel for impeding in Austria, what is this then? Don't tell me he made the move before sirotkin did. He came in at 300 and got blocked off the ideal run nearly making him spin or even tumble if the rear breaks out too heavy, but why give penalties to Mercedes and Lewis huh? BIASED
@john m what the fuck are you saying? The racing lines? Ah, now the racing lines are in the middle of the track and Hamilton could did that movement... I don't think so! The movement of vettel in Austria was less dangerous!
Flight Simmer no what he said is absolutely correct I have seen many Hamilton fans wining in the comments section of F1 related videos “all of you hate Hamilton because he’s black” xD
Anurag Prateek In Hamilton’s defense, as all drivers and people deserve a side of an argument, Sirotkin was on an outlap, as well as Hamilton, and it wouldn’t have mattered to his lap time since it was an outlap. Second, it’s advised you don’t overtake a car if your confident that they will be slower than you. This is due to prevent a situation where you ruin a hot lap, not an out lap in Sirotkin’s situation. However, it was Lewis who didn’t move in time. But it had little to no effect on either drivers qualifying.
Anurag Prateek also to add on, there was a rule or agreement between drivers not to overtake in the third sector of an outlap so people can have clean air in their hot lap. The rule in some means of this, I don’t know the exact details.
Anurag Prateek Also in hamilton's defense, he's clearly trying to get off the racing line, no idea why the other drivers are going off the racing line too
He did great to get into Q3, but in the end, he didn't outqualify Ericsson. Showed what he can do when under pressure though, similar to what Gasly did today.
So in there egerness to investigate vettel they assumed he didn't turn off his engine then when ferrari proved that he did there was no way they could give him a penalty. This hole weigh in was ridiculous this was so obviously to ruin Ferraris strategy because it will be a massive advantage in the race. They obviously saw kimi do it then saw seb coming in and decided to try and ruin this by selecting him for weighing the desicion was made so late that seb was coming in fast to later brake to pit lane speed when he then saw it flash up that he needed to be weighed and had to react quickly thats why he hit the cone because he wasn't expecting to have to stop so he had to much speed to stop before it. This is were the fia clown show happens when the guy takes an eternity to pick up a cone and stands in the way I mean who wouldn't be annoyed it was so obvious what they were doing. He then realises that they are messing with him so judders forward making sure the slow cone guy knows to get the hell out of the way he then drives on to the scales because no one was in a rush to push him switches of gets weighed but the fia think hay we haven't slowed him enough so the guy in front slowly walks over making it look like he is going to help push him decides not to and vettel sits there with no one pushing him until he decides this is ridiculous and drives off. It's funny how everything gets put down to vettel and his frustration by the commentators but who wouldn't be anoyed when it is so obvious what the fia were doing. Meanwhile hamilton breaks so many rules almost causes a crash but again no investigation for him. And before hamilton fans complain i have a question for you even if this wasn't a penalty ask yourself this why was there no investigation into these incidents because his two incidents at the very least warrant an fia investigation. And everyone knows this that is why people are annoyed not just because he didn't get a penaulty but because it was ignored all together.
First time i see a well argumented post that didn't have a merc fanboy come and take shit out of context and twist it to his liking...weird... I'd like to add how even more pathetic the whole situation is because Vettel got penalised for way less, even the red flag stuff with the delta and shit, especially in wet weather, no one has access to that but them so it's just a tool to get the drivers they need to get when mercedes can benefit from it...hamilton crosses pit lines at his leisure, almost crashes a car while he was heating up tyres and obstructs a flying lap and nothing..not even an investigation... i mean, does mercedes really need all that to beat ferrari? Obviously not, not at this stage at least...i Hope to God ferrari and rb both trash them in the race today and then they double dnf for good measure (even though i got nothing against their drivers as they're just doing their jobs and you can't always assess everything on time inside the car but that's what penalties are for)
Ákos Juhász And that's why I won't watch the race today. Don't know why I should? Hamilton sells his ass to the FiA and if this doesn't work Bottas got him.
Lewis gets away with that dangerous move in front of sirotkin and I am under investigation for slightly damaging the balance? Honestly Charlie Whiting must be loose between Hamilton's legs right now!

Definate penalty for Hamilton, its plain dangerous driving, it has nothing to do with outlaps or whatever. Maybe they should have crashed...even then i doubt FIA would have given Hamilton a penalty.
When you're on an outlap, towards the end of the lap you back off to leave a gap to the car in front, out of respect for other drivers and so you can get a clean lap. Hamilton knew there were no cars behind him on a hotlap, so was not expecting Sirotkin to come charging round the second to last corner trying to overtake him, it was rather dangerous driving, you don't overtake someone on essentially the final corner of an outlap, you back off and leave space. As to the Kimi thing, ultimately Raikkonnen didn't lose time over it, in fact he gained a bit of slipstream, Hamilton thought he was trying to take the race line so over to get out of his way but Raikkonnen went around him instead. Neither example ended up costing anyone time, neither was a clear example of blocking, and neither ended up affecting the result of the qualifying in any way.

@beefcake502 he was in the middle of the track with Raikonnen and on the racing line with Sirotkin

@Futt Bucker you could be the best in the world on a wet track, and you'd still probably go slower than another driver on a dry track
Sirotkin was not on a fast lap, and had no right to pass Hamilton, especially at that speed.

- How dare Ferrari make a better engine than Mercedes with clever batteries, we'll investigate and put this sensor on (after Vettel's strong victory in Spa)
- How dare Ferrari make a clever mirror sollution with aero device (Mercedes can keep theirs), we ban it
- How dare Vettel slow down enough under red flags THREE PLACE GRID DROP!!! (USA 2018)

@@lorenzo1204 25000 € is nothing?
Dennis Sturm Not just from Brazil other incidents as well and also 25000 is literally nothing to him😂cmon
@@dennissturm7191 Compared to disqualification it isn't. Plus, it's against the law to do what he did.
Edu00 give evidence. It was an out lap, but I'm willing to listen to you. I need a laugh every one in a while.
Lol. Now I can see how biased FIA has become.
Vettel in Austria? He was punished.... come on FIA....
Anurag Prateek also to add on, there was a rule or agreement between drivers not to overtake in the third sector of an outlap so people can have clean air in their hot lap. The rule in some means of this, I don’t know the exact details.
Anurag Prateek Also in hamilton's defense, he's clearly trying to get off the racing line, no idea why the other drivers are going off the racing line too
Yeah I know, Vettel breaking the weigh bridge and nothing, pathetic.
I have no words for leclercs session...
He did great to get into Q3, but in the end, he didn't outqualify Ericsson. Showed what he can do when under pressure though, similar to what Gasly did today.
Ericsson P7 awesome!
Leetbeast P6* Daniel Ricciardo got a 5 place grid penalty cuz of a gearbox change which has moved Marcus up to P6.
👏
Obviously not, not at this stage at least...i Hope to God ferrari and rb both trash them in the race today and then they double dnf for good measure (even though i got nothing against their drivers as they're just doing their jobs and you can't always assess everything on time inside the car but that's what penalties are for)
He was supposed to stand in front of vettel to give hime the "brakes up" sign... So how is it okay to nearly run him down? idiot needs some patience

Amazing job from Sauber. What a great lap of Leclerc at the end of Q2. I can't wait to see him in the ferrari in 2019.
Definate penalty for Hamilton, its plain dangerous driving, it has nothing to do with outlaps or whatever. Maybe they should have crashed...even then i doubt FIA would have given Hamilton a penalty.
@john m Butt hurt Hamilton fan detected. >:D
"It has nothing to do with outlaps or whatever" It defenitely has something to do with it, you dumb fuck lmao. Its a shame that kids like you infest the comment section with your nonsense.

Rosenberg David
No, I’m saying that he did exact the same thing Jochen Mass did trying to get out of Gilles way on a qualifying lap, and it was very careless.
Honestly, giving penalties for “joining the track in unsafe manner”, but completly overlooking something like this is really inconsistent.

We all know Lewis isn't a dirty driver
Rosenberg David
Because its the same incident and a very dangerous and careless bit of maneuvor.
He saw him in the mirror and just guessed where he will be going, instead of focus what his move will actually be.
The only difference here is that we are in an age where consiquence wouldnt be near as bad had Sirotkin hit him, but its still unbelievable that it wasnt even under invastigation.
What I am saying here is not against lewis, it could have been anyone, but rather the fact that governing body didnt react, while in the meantime they penalise much more trivial things.
