I’m always get gas at Costco now. It’s an easy off and on the freeway on the way to work. And getting gas before the store opens means the lines aren’t long at all. Most of the time there are no lines. (Cypress, TX)
Thanks for asking. As of right now since gas is self-service at Costco you cannot enter the amount gas ⛽ for your car. You simply pump as much or as little as you want yourself.
Question... can you use your parent's Costco card? How does it detect if it's not yours? Is it by the name cuz I got the same as my dad so If I put my debit card it'll match the name on my dad's Costco card. Will that work?
The gas pump nozzle is designed to stop once your tank is full, it uses a principle known as the Venturi Effect. Another way, I don't know if it works at a Costco pump but you can also press 78989 and hold the ENTER button then input your desired payment kinda like a prepay when you go inside the station.
As a costco gas attendant, the digital membership card will likely not be available at the gas station until all members start using tap to pay at the gas stations. Maybe around 90% at each location.
"When you approach the pump, you must insert your membership card first, followed by a Visa credit card or most PIN debit cards." So no I believe you have to insert it as of now
Only use high-octane fuel if your car needs it otherwise if the Manual states that the vehicle takes regular (87-octane) then using only regular, high-octane isn't going to boost your car if it wasn't even tuned for it and just a waste of money
We avoid going to Costco to purchase gas because we hate ridiculously long waits at the lines there at Costco Fuel. We overpaid on gas at Shell somewhere in Arizona at $4.849/gallon & paid the highest gas bill ever at $83.32! Whenever we see the gas price average increase we look for gas prices that are ridiculously high!

Yes, that is true. The lines are shorter before the store opens 💯😊
Waiting in line now for the first time and just answered my question - needed a long hose. Ty!
Glad I could help =D
I'm new to Costco - thank you.
You're welcome 🤗
Where do you enter the amount of gas you want to fill?

See if the 78989 code works at the pump
Helpful. Thank you

Yes, it should work even if your form of payment (credit or debit) does not match the Costco card.
Thanks.... I wanted to use it before but didn't want to wait for long just tell me I can't use it.
Can you do a clip on how to use the extra long hose?
Sure, i'll do that soon 🔜

do you get to choose the amount of gas or does it automatically do it for you?
You can control the amount as it is self service. You can pump as much gas into your vehicle to full level or the dollar amount on the screen.

Do the digital membership “cards” work at the gas station now?
Good question, According to Costco.com "Currently the Digital Membership Card is not accepted at Costco Gas Stations"
@@TheAZCruiser thanks!

Your Land Cruiser has a larger fuel tank so I’m guessing it was more expensive to fill up
Can I tap the Costco membership card? Sometimes when I insert my Costco card it doesn’t read

@@TheAZCruiser alright thank you I appreciate it very much :)
Sam's club beat them by one cent LMAO
😆😆 Awesome! I like high octane too.

@@Faithless495 I only put in Premium fuel as the manual specifies it. It can run on regular but performance would be Toyota Tercel like 😎 !

Usually the long wait lines are in the afternoon. If you get gas at Costco during the morning or evening, there almost little to no wait lines.
3 months later almost $7 at ampm Costco is cheaper
Costco Doesn’t Have The 89 Octane
Who cares, most people buy 91 or 87 anyway.
Kind of odd they don't. 89 is basically half 87 and half 91.
Way too much non-necessary stuff in here, get to the point, too much talking on non-important stuff
i agree to much bs straight to the point buddy i dont want to hear your make up tutorial
You dont like it do one yourself losers
25 times a year ha no I fill up over a hundred times a year
You go thru a whole tank over twice a week? That would be like 220$ a week for my car in California. Takes 110$ to fill up
@@MAN31256
I was just exaggerating no im kidding I think i fill up around 9 times a month
@@AuzzAustin that’s till over 100 times a year tho. that would be 11k in gas for me in a year at these prices

It's about Over 2k bucks for me a year in my Jeep
