Love the compelling candidness of this talk. I enjoy how Diaz brings attention to the invisible structures within society. It's empowering and energizing to hear him speak of institutional discrimination in a humorous, yet open manner. J
Meritorious talk, as is pretty much always the case w/ Diaz. But I was disappointed due to feeling misled by the title. The focus of the talk was not about the "power of love" at all and I would have loved to heard Diaz's perspective on such.
Rarely is there no resistance either to or from change. Fortunately we have artists, since it is they who typically have more freedom and room to maneuver with the rigid confines of "conservative values." Their artistic freedoms help them to identify, as well as ameliorate, the pain from the change they are working to effectuate.
