I never made the connection between homosexuality and pink color. I wonder why heterosexuality was represented with blue... I've always seen it as representing "male and female colors" (which is an idea I don't like or support), and that's a reason to why I'm not a big fan of the design still. The other thing being that the contrast is not great (though the idea of the colors blending together is great).
Who would’ve thunk it? I just saw a video about the lesbian flag and thought of looking for something about the bi one, since I'm bi myself, only to learn that my birthday is the start of Bi Awareness Week. I know it’s just a big number doing big numbers thing, but it was funny and kind of wholesome in a way. My birthday is the date we celebrate when my state was granted statehood (i'm brazilian, and my state is Alagoas). I always joked that it was because of my birthday; now i have another way of using that joke.
every time I think I know all about the flag you're presenting on, I always learn something new! Thanks so much for sharing!
Aww thanks so much! That truly means a lot!
That's my Flag!

Thanks for the introduction! It's my first time seeing this flag (to my knowledge). Now I'm up to speed.

Who comes up with these awareness days? Who agrees to them? How widespread are they?
