I took the Shahada yesterday, after about 6 months of seeking knowledge through reading the Qur'an and listening to lectures by Islamic scholars. It's only been about 24 hours and it already feels like one of the best decisions i've ever made. I'm grateful that Allah swt has guided me to this path. The people of Palestine have also been a huge source of inspiration because i can't even imagine what they are all going through at the moment, but despite their struggles they never lost their faith once. I was 9 when the war in Iraq was launched. The bombing of Baghdad is imprinted in my memory. I distinctly remember watching it on TV live while we recorded the news at the time. I took the Shahada yesterday, after about 6 months of seeking knowledge through reading the Qur'an and listening to lectures by Islamic scholars. It's only been about 24 hours and it already feels like one of the best decisions i've ever made. I'm grateful that Allah swt has guided me to this path. The people of Palestine have also been a huge source of inspiration because i can't even imagine what they are all going through at the moment, but despite their struggles they never lost their faith once. By writing this comment i want to thank the whole Ummah and also Mohammed Hijab specifically for also being a source of inspiration! Alhamdoulillah.

2. There's a difference between a war and an

2. There's a difference between a war and an

I want to share that Video games are completely haram as per islamic rules. The reason is simple and find it's root cause.
Lets go chronologically.
1. Videography and photography and drawing anything living is haram. Hence, such professions are also haram.
2. To make a video game, a developer makes 3D models of humans and other objects, which is still considered copying the creation of Allah and hence is a haram practice.
3. When as muslims we play such video games we actually help the companies that are doing these haram practices.
4. Allah(SWT) has said in Quran, Surah Maidah Chapter 5 (in the very begining) that, Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.
Lets understand it better by an analogy.
Alcohol is haram. Hence it's manufacturing is haram. It's consumption is haram. Even if we don't drink, we cannot sell such things and supporting it in any manner is haram.
Similarly, copying Allah's creation is haram. Video game character making is haram. Game music is haram. Hence, Supporting it in any manner is haram.
