I am a huge Kate Bush fan since 1978 and can say: your version is the most beautiful of this masterpiece, so sunny and uplifting. And the key is just in being completely different from the original. Kate will certainly love your work.
On behalf of everyone who's enjoyed these videos THANKYOU - your commitment to your fanbase has been outstanding. And ... the work behind the scenes to compile these videos, edit them and make them such superb performances will not have been trivial to say the least - so again, many times thankyou. By the way, who are the contributors we don't recognise? Stay safe - we want to see you all performing live again.
Thank you for tuning in each week to watch David! In this clip we have been joined by Jodi, Doug and Laura. Jodi is the UOGB manager, Doug is our sound engineer and Laura is a UOGB Dep and editor of the Lockdown series 😄
@@UkuleleOrchestra "Nice Fettling" all round! Another favourite of mine and I've had to re-watch it several times. Brilliant editing, brilliant performances and well... eh by 'eck it were just BRILLIANT!
Ahhh - this was the one I was waiting for. George's best song I think, and it's great to see him fronting his eponymous orchestra once again. An orchestra that keeps on growing too, it seems, with not just Laura this time but Doug doing his best sheepdog look and yet another face I don't know (yet). I almost wish this pandemic doesn't end as I'm so loving seeing a new video each weekend.
I came home from the Rock Shop in Hamilton N.Z. yesterday with a concert size Ukulele and a song book. Bob Dylan says if you know more than 4 cords you are showing off. I am now a uke player. One of your team. The shop had some nice ukes including a bass with massive strings and other strange looking ones. Vistas are opening up to me.
Laughing, crying, bellowing out HEATHCLIFF! From the bottom of my heart, the depths of my soul, the farthest reaches of the space time continuum, thank you guys one and all....amazing.
Glorious! I'm going to miss these every week but can't wait to buy the whole collection when it comes out. Thank you so much to all of you for shining a light of delight in the to gloom of lockdown.
Yet another great performance. Great to see Laura, Doug and Jodi taking part (and Laura's sheep). We now need a new DVD of all the performances. Did anyone else join in with shouting Heathcliff?
George has a fascinating voice 👋🗣👋 Wuthering is my very favourite, next Born this Way (sung beside the bannisters 😂), Pin-a Ball-a Wizard, Good, Bad + the Ugly when Jonty cracks👍- loads of commenters loved that - and not forgetting The Model l play all those over + over to keep myself happy AND l bought a UKE ! only ever played piano + sung in choirs proving how motivating you are.
Its so easy to forget the orchestra members are all isolated from each other, at least one is in a different country atm. Yet they all seem to still naturally react to each other. Just imagine them actually Live together. Pure magic.
Oh my goodness. How good is this! I was feeling a bit down about the state of things with the CoVid resurgance in Melbourne, but this has put a giant smile on my face, and got me dancing. I also couldn't help clapping loudly at the end. Thank you!
Hello from Finland Europe! Wow! What a Great Show, again! Love from Anu ❤🌼❤ to Everybody in Ukulele Britain Company in this video! Take care ❤🌼❤! Everybody!
I’ve watched this so many times - it’s always a joy not just because of the music but that you all seem to have so much fun in the process. When are you touring again in the uk? 🇬🇧
Amazing performance George - definitely a touch of George Melly about you in this one. Love everyone in this humorous uplifting synergy. Brilliant music making.👏 Gotta find a CD. 💿
We´re so sad that this is your last #UkuleleLockdown video. My mum and I have been waiting each week ´till the new video is up and have enjoyed all of them. Thank you for the music 😉, the songs your playing and the great entertainment. The time and effort you put in it is much appreciated. We have become big fans during the lookdown period. Greeting from Munich/Germany.
This is my favorite self-isolation video yet! I love to see George Hinchliffe singing this! I really enjoy the bahhh's and the hollering back and forth from the rest of the orchestra too... "Couldn't we just go to Ikea, like other people?" LOL. Please share the ukulele chords you're using for this song! I'd love to play along. :)
A great video in lockdown. Welcome NEW faces to Ukulele Orchestra. I love British humour. Ancestors... British... so an affinity with everything English. Stay safe and thanks for sharing 💖💖💖
Driving in my car this morning and on the radio came One Night in Bangkok. I instantly thought the Ukulele Orchestra would do a great arrangement of this song.
Absolutely brilliant . Another member of orchestra. Top head gear worn by Leisa jonty & a red rose for hester. Top vocals by George. Look forward to the album, & dvd.
Wow! Saying thank you just seems to be lacking a bit and falling short, we all so appreciate all your hard work performing and putting these videos together during the lockdown! I can't wait till we can get to be able to see you perform live in person again. I have to say this video is the best yet "of course being a huge Kate Bush fan might have a bit to do with that!" Cant wait to see what you'll do next! Cheers from Arizona
I have always loved this one, so was hoping that it might feature in one of your wonderful weekly performances. Thank you so much! You have all really made my day! :)
Just when I finally got my favourite UOGB song out of my head. you lot come along and put it right back in there again! Amazing performance as always and nice to see a couple new faces in the lineup! Such a shame this was the last one as I love the format and honestly would like to see more.
I saw you guys perform this when you came to Australia back in 2012 (I think??? I was 11 akjdfh), I didn't know the original at the time but I remember absolutely loving this version! Still do to this day - thanks for the fun throwback
That was the first song I ever heared of you and that made me a fan so many years ago! Am going to scream "Heathcliff" the whole evening now! Thank you so much!
This was the first song ever, I heard from the Ukulele Orchestra and I fell in Love with these Guys and Dolls. I miss you folks. Like to see you soon back in Germany. My heart and my soul need a little happynis. You are awesome. Thank you. I pre-ordered your new CD and I can't wait to hear it.
I’ve been listening to Kate Bush for the past 3 hours and what a lovely rendition! I enjoyed it so much. Love that Kate dance at 1:23 💃🏻 Thanks for the excellent job! Hope to see your live performance someday :)
This is just great entertainment. Nothing like opening up the Sunday comic strips and getting top rate music too. After listening to your fabulous performances it is on ward to reading the comments. By the time I am finished I have a number of belly laughs which puts a smile on my face and everything just isn't going to be too bad. Thanks to all of you!
This was the first song I ever heard UOGB ever do! Friend m there next it was all pure joy just listening to them. I even got my own Ukulele, because I was playing a guitar but I switched up and now love it and them even more!
Another gift! Thank UOGB! Y’all really make my day when a new vid pops in! Thank you for your talent and hard work! Great to see all the behind the scenes players joining in the fun! Love and peace to all! 💕🎶🤟😷
Yaye what a typically fab wonderful witty Splendiferous UOGB classic rendition and really great to hear George singing again ...thank you thank you for your musical gift of happiness :-))))))))
Please say this isn't the last lockdown video! How will we cope on Sundays? Well, just wanted to say thanks to George and the gang for some fantastic videos. Thanks to Doug, Laura and Jodi for their work behind the scenes. Glad to see them all in this one. I'm so looking forward to seeing you playing live when you start touring again. Take care... don't Uke and drive. 😉
Despite the worst of the lockdown having been over here in Germany for a while, it was a pleasure to look forward to your videos every week- so a mere "thanks so much for your work" can't do justice to how much of an enjoyment those videos were :)

The other girl in the cap is Jodi, who has worked with the Ukes behind the scenes for years.
Jodi had to join us for our last Lockdown clip! She is the band's manager and makes all this possible 😄

Molto bravi. Ci vuole coraggio a interpretare in questo modo un pezzo iconico come wuthering heighs
Kate Bush plus ukuleles! It’s like you made it just for me, thank you!
Great to see George H. Singing the lead again! Icing on the cake with this group of Nobel
Troubadours.
I think I've watched this over 20 times ,it's that good
Watching such creatively crazy videos like this almost make me think that quarenteen was a blessing... Terrific!!!
This song was my introduction to Ukulele Orchestra of Gt Britain. I've been hooked ever since, it always makes me smile.
This is a crazy fun version!!!!
I am mesmerised by this! Can't stop watching it. Thank you guys!!

My face hurts from smirking the entire time.
You are all utterly fantastic! Thank you! 💕💕💕💕
Love the sheets of banknotes hot off the press, really enjoyed that.
Unalloyed joy. Thank you! So many good memories of hearing this live. It's my favourite version of the song and always will be. Sorry Kate.
Kate Bush will be laughing her socks off.
I hope Kate has seen it and loves it as much as we do.
I always thought Kate Bush had no socks. In most of her early videos she is barefooted.
I seem to remember Kate Bush wouldn't allow UOGB to record this on CD.. I don't know if this has changed recently..
One of the best great do dodo Richie as well !!
You are great. Nobody thinks today it was a stupid idea years ago. Hope you do this forever.
Just gets better and better and better. Long may the UOGB continue. Just love them.
My ambition is to see this band live after COVID Lockdown x
