- Avengers Kang dynasty is now even closer after antman and the wasp quantumania being released and setting kang variants. a new report is now claiming that Spider-Man (Tom Holland) will be the lead character of Avengers 4. I breakdown the details along with my theories and speculation for why Spiderman being the main character of Avengers Kang Dynasty & Avengers Secret Wars could work.

I haven’t seen Quantumania yet, but I know Kang wants to conquer the Multiverse, and people who mess with it are seen as a threat to him, so he might wanna take them out. Considering the fact that Spider-Man has messed with the Multiverse in No Way Home, caused so much trouble for Doctor Strange and also had the worst impact on himself because of it puts him in a state where he’s on Kang’s radar of people who he should get out of his way, and because he’s in his worst place mentally, it’s like kicking him whilst he’s down. It would also give Spider-Man time to reintroduce himself to all of the new Avengers. He is the perfect lead for Kang Dynasty, especially if he’s gonna get the Symbiote Suit and add more to his complete loneliness storyline.
I think this is good for his character the Spider-Man trilogy for Tom Holland was a long development of his character and you can see at the end of nwh and going into Spider-Man 4 he will be matured as he navigates college and being on his own, I think him suddenly becoming the lead character of the next avengers will be good to make him a more credible and overall confirm his mature nature in the role
His first year of college shouldn’t be portraying him as veteran Spider-Man. At least not until his adult trilogy should he have a handle on a leadership role

I think MCU Spidey needs to first have a more grounded story and go through development in his solo movies before this potentially happens. If this does happen, I think it could be a great progression of his character. Him going from a naive yet responsible kid to a big time hero leading the charge against Kang. It could be similar to the comics whenever he takes on a leadership role, which happens more often than you’d think.
I heard Spider-Man 4 will be before Kang dynasty and Secret wars, so there’s that.

If Tobey, Andrew, and the black suit do end up showing up in Secret Wars. Then I think it would be a cool callback to have Tobey’s Spider-Man be the one to bring Tom back to his senses after the black suit starts manipulating him. He already knows what the black suit is and what it’s capable of since he experienced it first hand and knows how to overcome it. That’s just my opinion though.

Makes sense because it ties into secret wars and in secret wars spiderman gets the black suit around that time in the comics I like this idea for him being the main focus for kang dynasty because he's been around for a long time and fought by all of the avengers sides

I don't mind, more Spider-Man is always positive. And I can see it, by the time Secret Wars ends Tom's Spider-Man would probably be the character to go through the most in all of the MCU if not top 5 so him as the protagonist i wouldn't mind. Tho I can see why some may be against it.

If the symbiote is involved, it would make sense that Spider-man is the central character, maybe just by story importance alone. Kang is heavily involved in the multiverse themes of this phase. The symbiote piece from Sony's Venom is already from a different universe and knows about "a" Spider-man, even after seeing Peter 1 for the first time on TV. Symbiotes have a hive knowledge across space and now possibly multiverses. Would be good growth for his character too. Peter is still young and could want his friends / old life back from Kang, but he also knows the consequences that messing with multiverse can have now.

I do feel like Spider-Man has slowly been building up to being able to take on a leadership role, first being introduced to a larger world in need of leaders in Civil War, then learning more about it and from his mistakes in homecoming, then learning to better trust himself in Far From Home, and then actually leading a team in No Way Home and even reaching a significant level of maturity in there. So, I feel like he will have more of a leadership role in the Avengers, along with Sam Wilson Cap America as well as shuri, with Peter and Shuri being science besties, and Sam being the older more experienced leader.
Makes sense to me. By the time this comes out Spider-Man would have been on his own for a while, he will be older, wiser and capable to lead. Most of the avengers by this time will be a mix of OGs and new. I’m hoping they can get Spider-Man 4 by end of 2024 before Avengers Kang Dynasty.

What a beautiful passing of the torch. Tony basically made him into the man he is now.
I've always felt that Iron Man is the main character of the Avengers films while Captain America is the leader. Spiderman feels like the successor to Stark so this makes sense. Also, when looking at the box office, Marvel's had some massive hits since Endgame, but NWH is easily the most successful as its the only phase 4 film to not only cross the massive billion dollar milestone, but it got so close to 2 billion as well. Spiderman is their most popular hero, so having him lead makes perfect sense.
Spider-Man could finally wear the real Iron Spider suit.
If do they end up pulling this off it could be very similar to the 90’s Spider-Man animated series where there was a Secret Wars event and it was through his perspective. They might actually be able to pull this off in a good way 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve also had this theory that “Kang Dynasty” is going to be a young Avengers film with Kang defeating whatever core avengers team is left early on in the film and the rest of the film being a young Avengers team trying to figure out how to stop Kang… this could surely work with Spider-Man leading the team.

Here’s my idea of how it’s gonna go down. Spider man actually gets the black suit in kang dynasty and then kang’s like “I can send u to a better word” and Peter now with the black suit agrees. Next spider man 4 where it’ll be like flashpoint where he realizes what he did was wrong and tries to find a way back then in secret wars he comes back for revenge and has now gotten rid of the black suit

I think they set it up as another 2 side rivalry with Peter being the new Tony stark and Sam Willson being captain America.
This would kind of be a good idea showing these characters gaining new points of views after their evolutionary adventure in their own movies/series. Having 2 different points of views bud heads on how to handle this new multiversal threat.
One side has the vengeful and broken heros who don't care how they take down the enemy with characters like Shuri, Peter, Monica and Steven. While the others who are hopeful and aren't as broken will try to solve it in a less lethal and forgiving style like Sam, kamala, She hulk, and Kate bishop.

@@TheSt1092 how does that contradict his potential involvement with TKD and Secret Wars? in the comics he played a massive role in both versions of secret wars. Just because F4 isnt an extremely successful movie does not mean the characters cant be super involved in the story.
I think that it will be a infinity war situation all though I could work with strange as maybe the main lead and flacon and Spider-Man could be the other leads. Either way I always am entertained with what ever u put 3C. They need to ink a deal with actual writing talent. These lately are lacking.
I kinda feel like the tv series are to introduce characters who will join the avengers, without having to do starting movies for them. A lot are probably just gonna appear in the coming movies. So I expect to see photon, loki, moon knight, falcon and the winter soldier, white vision, Wiccan and Speed, Ms marvel, and x-men. And we've already seen them use this for scarlet witch and Kang. Movies wise, there's still Love, America, and Ned too.
To be honest I can see that being the best idea making Spidey one of the main leads since he's basically almost like the Batman in DC being the 1st or 2nd lead for a superhero group

My only conflict is spider-man 4 feels like it was headed towards a more friendly neighbourhood spiderman movie. How is that going to follow a Avengers movie where hes the lead charecter? I was really looking forward to spiderman helping out the little guy in New York before teaming back up and being part of a bigger intertwined story. It doesnt feel like a storyline where they can have this big event going on in Avengers 4, only to divert back to a friendly neighbourhood story and then back up to a big deal event like secret wars.
Let’s face it Spider-Man is the only thing carrying the MCU franchise. No Way Home has been the best product the MCU has released. You had Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Black Panther, (RIP Boseman) GOTG but they all have seemingly faded.
Black Panther 2 was good but unfortunately but Letitia Wright just lacks the nuance and charisma of a Chadwick Boseman to be a strong lead. Wanda and the Multi… I mean Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness flopped. All of the Disney plus shows have been hit or miss best IMO being Loki and that’s still debatable. No one cared about Black Widow, Ant-Man 3 appears to not be doing so well, Thor 4 was just trash, damn near forgot about the Eternals as I was typing this and no one is looking forward to the Marvels or Captain Marvel 2.

Peter is only 18 or 19. I don't think he has the experience to be the leader of the Avengers. The Young Avengers, YES, go for it; great Him and Shuri as co-leaders like Ironman and Cap, yes. But the Avengers still has legit veterans, like Sam, Bucky, Rhody, and Carol, who are far better to lead than Peter.

Unless they establish a midnight sons team I don't see characters like moon Knight, daredevil, punisher and characters like that showing up in dynasty maybe secret wars because that's more about incursions but I dont expect to see werewolf jack Russel vs kang
Out of anyone to be the next cap iron man I’d love for Spider-Man to step into the leader role. Especially with how the spiderman animated series introduced me to secret wars as a kid
Lead role as his Spider-Man in the MCU not as the Avengers he even mentioned that “he was an avenger” to Tobey and Andrews Spider-Man in Spider-Man NWH during the finale battle and having the black Symbiote in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.
