    Hi, thanks for the clean and explainer video. Do you have the NVME SSD adapter link?

    hi there!! so let me see if I understood. Eventhough this late 2014 has 4gbRam, this upgrade will make more efficient to work with Logic pro x, adobe premier for video editing, and such?

    • @TechNuggets
      @TechNuggets  3 роки тому

      Mine wasn't the 4gb ram model. That being said the NVME will boost performance massively but won't make up any more ram storage space so you will still have the limitations of having only 4gb.

    So I have a 2014 16 gb and a 1tb. I have the adapter for the fusion drive. I have lots of ssd cards as luck would have it. Can I put a 1tb 2.5 where the hdd was and a 512 ssd card with the adapter to bring this i7 3.0 to a 16 gb ram and 1,512 gb ssd shared? That’s sounds like a pretty good machine.
    Tell me why I can’t do this? Also, why isn’t it anywhere online? OWC is so expensive compared to ssd (brand names now). A year ago they were a modest amount more, now they are the apples of ssds but without cutting edge. Crucial mx is just as good as any OWC. I’ve got crucial and Wd red card.

    what's the speed when you tested with Blackmagic?

    couldn't see where you plugged in the adaptor due to camera angle. Did you have to unplug the old HDD and plug the adaptor into the plug it was using?

      Hi buddy there’s a little socket for it, it just plugs on, you keep existing hdd connected and you can even use super dupa to clone it to ssd

    if I have a fusion drive already in my macmini can I upgrade the speed further, cause that would be great.

    • @benjohnson8869
      @benjohnson8869 11 місяців тому

      Yes of cause Fusion Drive is way slower than NVME

    Have you tried installing windows on nvme ssd? I’ve tried it on sata ssd, but drive is not being detected. Please guide.

    I have 2014 Mini with fusion 128g SSD and 1TB HDD drive. It seems current OS is installed in 128g instead of HDD. How do I transfer everything to new nvme drive instead?

    • @TechNuggets
      @TechNuggets  3 роки тому

      Use SUperduper to clone drive to new name then boot into NVME by holding option when chime go's off then you can erase old drive and use it as storage.
      Make sure you have name named different so you don't get mixed up :)

      @@TechNuggetsthx for reply. Do I need external enclosure to clone? If won’t start if I just put inside as it’s fusion.

    By now, you probably received the same criticism regarding the poor camera angle used. Fairly informative but could have been edited better.
