If you unstick the flat cable (4:40) _before_ trying to unplug the video connector (4:12), it comes out very much easier because it can just slide _backwards_ (not up). Otherwise, very clear, good instructions; thanks.

Cable only supports 1600x900 at most.

Just buy a new bezel? You have to take it off anyway when replacing the screen

I wish! I'm not really sure, it was my great-grandfathers, so definitely before numerous wars, but I don't believe it's a Gibson. No labels or markings whatsoever. it not particularly well made, but it is mostly playable

I don't know. I don't think it'd be worth it to find out. As a general rule, remove all sources of electricity when taking apart electronics. :)

Ephraim Soriente I think you would need to find the rest of your model number to find the most compatible screen.
