This a beautiful pond we did in Liverpool
It's been a long project but sometimes they are.
The pond is 4000 gallons and runs on a single bottom drain to a Nexus 320+

Enjoy!
What a lovely pond and straight forward filter system. Seagulls are my biggest threat too.
Thank you for sharing Tim.
Lovely pond great job 👍
Gorgeous pond
Well done to one and all ...cracking setting and just sods law to have lost some of the tosai so early on.... watched a random video of the pond guy doing Shaq O Neals new mega pond and nice to see a shout out to you Tim.... (not sure if that Yamabuki should have been put in straight away ..hopefully they did the water checks). Now that would be a video to see you pimping out Shaq's pond! He seems to really appreciate Koi. Be well mate.
We put the Koi in the day before. She was fine 👍
I saw that too. Wasn't keen oh his new pond though; looked like he wanted more of a lake not a crazy golf course.
@@suzypennycook3047 When your that rich you pretty much get exactly what you want .... it was pretty much comedy (not knocking the guys taste as he seems pretty nice) seeing all those people working on the project. Then watching Shaq who's close to 7ft tall (and a billionaire to boot) trying to play crazy golf with a tiny putter was pure comedy.
Amazing looking pond! good job. just a thought, is it wise to go from skimmer straight into Bead filter, would a sieve be better before that?
The skimmers have baskets in to stop any solids. We have used this system for many years now
whata stunning pond..I would love that sort of thing but my garden isn't big enough..and my pockets aren't deep enough...that said..lovely video to watch .. keep em coming. Not a lot of room to get through to the filter house..thank goodness for the diet...Is there a temp cover for the filter house ? and if not what happens when it rains..the slate/brick effect against the grey panels looks amazing
All the equipment is fully waterproof
My cat kills the birds 😅
Another great vid Tim, quick question I’m in process of installing a nexus 220 on my 2000 gallon pond. I’ve got a 20000 vari pump that I was going to use or would u recommend a smaller pump
A 20,000 is fine. Just regulate it when needed
Great thanks Tim 👍🏻
Lovely! I notice everyone goes on about fitting purges on the bottom drain but I notice you don’t tend to? Is it an issue?
The nexus will purge the drain when cleaning. If the drain lines are long we will fit purges
@@TimWaddington thanks! I bought another valve but given my run to the filter is only 2.7m I may give it a miss!
Great video Tim 👍 hoping you can help. Thinking of adding an advanced bead after my sieve filter (to replaced existing large multi bay) before going to a large bio chamber of aerated K1. Its a 4500 gallon pond, undecided which advanced filter to get? 24 inch or 30inch? Cheers
Which Sieve is it?
@@TimWaddington thanks Tim, it’s an ultra sieve 3
@@Pine-tree-koi-pond nice, I’d go for a 30”. That’s what I have on my 4000 gallon system and it’s superb
@@TimWaddington thanks Tim! Much appreciated.
Another nice pond mate, its a shame to cover it because of the seagulls it's crazy to think they're protected animals when in reality they're just like vermin.
Very nice. What are the dimensions on this tim? as looking to do something very similar.
I’ll check
How many GPH is powering that waterfall weir? I am building a pond with two 36" weirs and one 60" weir. Someone said I need a 12,000 gph pump to run the three. Just confirming. Seems a lot. I like the flow of that weir in the video.
I don’t think it’s powerful enough. Remember you will be going through a 1” pipe behind every blade. You need to be able to regulate each one to balance them out
@@TimWaddington I have 2" pipe going to each. Each have valves to regulate and two inlets each. I read 100 gph per 1". It looked like you said you had a 10k running the whole pond. Maybe I heard it wrong.
How much was total build ? Look at doing similar n been quoted 15k full build with ground source, heat pump ??
RIP their hand off!
Recently bought 3 Showa & 1 Kindai Showa from Marusei & Ooya koi farm of average 40cm in size Nisai. All females with nice menwa pattern. Does it have a good growth potential? Is it really worth? Kindly share your thoughts.
Yes, both very good breeders! They will grow well.
Thanks Tim 👍
Hi, I'm running a nexus 320 on a 2000gal pond with a 20000 variable pump running at 47 % can I run at higher percentage, thanks
Just tweak it mate. Try it higher and keep the inner and outer level. 50% is ample though, don’t want too fast 👍
