@@rorychivers8769 There is this ep with body swap. Craig is... not the greatest at playing Rimmer, but Chris is spot on. But I might check the audiobooks out if so. Thanks!
He did this very thing on his live one-man stage show, when his Gordon Brittas character was at its height ( who naturally also put in an appearance). Of course he also did some of his more notable spot impressions such as a certain sports presenter of the day...
After 40 odd years, Chris Barrie has still got it! Loved seeing (or rather hearing) him on Spitting Image back in the day and loved all the RD outtakes with his various impressions. Hilarious 😂
If you think this is good, you have to listen to the Red Dwarf audiobooks, wherein Mr Barrie not only impersonates the rest of the cast, there are a number of occasions where he doesn't just pull off fantastic impersonations of the whole crew, but he also manages to do an impersonation of Lister _doing a sarcastic impersonation of Rimmer_ , it's bloody brilliant
@@stocktonjoans And also "Backwards" is very good too, though not voiced by Chris Barrie. I wouldn't recommend "Last Human", though, for me it (the novel, I mean, but also then of course the audio book), and this too isn't read by Chris Barrie.
My late daughter loved Red Dwarf. She kept doing the "Rimmer salute" when I asked her to do the washing up.The looks on people's faces when she would shout "Smeg head" was hilarious.
BRING BACK THE Brittas Empire! Where have you been Colin? Sorry I'm late Mr Brittas but I got my hand stuck in the... never mind Colin!? Now Laura? ...
Chris was always so fantastic with impressions. He was on Spitting Image for years, and I think he was their secret weapon. Don't think he's on the new series, sadly. And in the episode Queeg, he got to riff on pretty much everybody for a few seconds. Rimmer (as Lister): "Well, howya do that, Hol?!"
A lot of people might not know Chris Barrie was a puppeteer and an original voice, most famous for Ronald Reagan and yes it’s him on Frankie Goes to Hollywood, on the legendary Spitting Image
This is why Chis doing the audiobook version of red dwarf books is so perfect
My favourite parts are the bits where Rimmer and Lister are arguing, and Barrie is doing an impersonation of them sarcastic impersonating each other
@@stocktonjoansheadf*ck 😂😂
@@stocktonjoans that’s a brain twister.
Ok now I need to get this.@@stocktonjoans
Exactly. So gutted he didn't do Backwards or Last Human. Even more gutted you can't get those in unabridged form at all.
I need an episode of RD in which Chris plays all 4 roles.
He does the Red Dwarf books on tape, enjoy

He did Lister, the Cat and Holly in 'Queeg'.
Audio books are narrated by him and he does the voices... Perfectly

Which one??
@@awesomethingshappen "Red Dwarf" and "Red Dwarf: Better Than Life"
@@stocktonjoans Ty

Mr Flibble still gives me nightmares.
Mr Flibble's very cross.
Schooooooooooo!

so much oif the original Spitting image was down to him. The Chicken Song!!!!
One of my favourite episodes.
it _IS_ Dad's Army in space, how have I never noticed before
I don't really see it.
I much prefer Red Dwarf in any case.
@@mythmaker6554 I can't see it, either. But both RD and Dad's Army are great comedies.
I was there on like the 4th row
always loved the audiobooks for this very reason
Easssssssssyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy money for these guys. I'm jeaous!

It's a shame there wasn't more Red Dwarf episodes.
Show off.
