Want to swap to AWM from AEB, where’s the best place to find the harness and everything I need to swap over? I need brake booster, master cylinder, gauge cluster the sensors for oil pressure/temp and knock sensor. Can you help?
Is it possible to swap a AWM engine into a 2000 body ATW car? I just bought a 2000 passat new engine and popped the hood. Its got a AWM code on the head and it has the ATW ecu? Can i make this work? Ive been looking at finding a 01+ awm ECU. Im not sure if this will work with the body of the car?
How hard was it to swap in the vvt solenoid? Wanna do this on my ATW but don't wanna fuck anything up. Is it just like installing it on a AWM or is there any modifications that need to be done?
i need dire help! i swapped AMW motor into ATW body and im getting no spark at all i noticed there are a few different wires from the body plugs into the ecu ie a red/brown on tan 10 pin plug a vrown/yellow on orange 10pin and a solid yellow but i am using the AMW harness and AMW Ecu but i get no spark to the coil at all any ideas im so stumped on this
+James Delaney no codes it did earlier with crank position but it was just not plugged all the way cleared an no codes but no spark to coils. cranks fine gets fuel and everything just no spark.
theres 3 wires from ecu to interior harness that the 2000 has that the 2001 does not. i bought atw for 300 bhg just swapped complete amw took amw harness and amw ecu..... do i need to use the atw harness and clip the different plugs in or?? cause im stumped and audi telling me im basically retarded
email me your tune and I'll verify it was coded out correctly. RENOxDECEPTION@gmail.com You may also need to swap to an AWM trigger wheel. Reason being, I don't think it's coded out, because if it was, it would not be requesting the intake cam to advance (vvt active). Sometimes tuners make a mistake and when they're leveling the entire vvt map, they accidentally set it to be always active instead of always inactive. Tell your tuner to look for this map, the second image is actually incorrect and it should be inverted, which I did afterwards: instagram.com/p/BXfBl7IHPBf/ And they will also need to copy the timing maps from the non-active state to the active state as well.
+WarHawk427 also the car i got the ecu off of had a bunch of other mods i only git the 225 injectors and the baileys dv30, i got the motor harness looks good condition no wrips or nothing and im hoping the ecu might b tuned because the car seemed to b running the 225
+WarHawk427 theyre golden bro the car looked like the guy just re did them, the connecters are perfect i will redo wiring tho because the guy didnt do the best of work on it but will keep the connectors forsure, i really thank you for this video again i dont know if ive told you before! im planning on doing a write up for the forums and for my local b5 group page from so cal on this too with pictures ill b posting a link to your video in it as well giving you recognition for the help really
+Honestly Delcor The heads are identical except for the porting for the intake, swap over your cam chain tensioner and camshafts from the old head to the new one (because VVT), also I would recommend running the AEB intake for the larger ports.
@@WarHawk427 so I found the wires it was cut in the loom. I got swapped. I have the harness swapped completely. I didnt haave vvt solenoid like yours. I have my buddy helping tune the car. Vvt is coded out but I'm currently getting a P0012 16396 cam timing over retarded. Did you have any issues with you swap? How hard was it to swap the vvt stuff and what do I need for it?

Does check engine light light up with key on? This indicates power to the ecu.

Got the car running after the awm harness swap. But I'm getting p0012 16396 code came timing. Even after the the vvt has been coded out

So I'm swapping the awm harness 5spd to an atw noticed that awm harness doesnt have the connector for the coolant tank sensor
If it doesn't yours is broken.
