    Hi Ron, great review of the glue bot. Paul Akers owner of Fast Cap was so gracious to take my idea of the cap lanyard and add it to their Glue Bot. It's great to see that little idea on many wood workers you tube videos. I'm not sure why there was a delay in putting it on the babe bot, they were probably busy developing many other innovative ideas. Thanks for promoting Fast Cap products and putting out great videos. Looks like a great device to try out. I upgraded to reusing those upside down syrup squeeze bottles (they have a flip top and self sealing valve). I find the syrup bottle doesn't self-glue its cap like the old style standard glue bottles.

    What you said!!! Fastcap has great innovations for the shop. Love their magnets that mount on your drill. There are strong and the screws waiting to be installed don't hit the floor. Too many others to mention but I would recommend most of their products. BTW I have no connection with Fastcap whatsoever.

    I had a small one and hated it. It kept drying out and to get glue out you have to squeeze really hard, and if you have arthritis as I do it can be very painful. I really don't like the tops on tite bonds bottle. But I found that the lid off frenchs mustard fits right on tite bonds bottle.

    Hey, thank you so much for your content. I am considering to get some of these, but I don't know which size to buy, because I am wondering, what happens when the glue level is low? Is it possible to squeeze it out even if the level of the glue is low, or it only works when the bottle is full or kinda middle level?

    OK maybe I did something wrong I too bought one and thought it was a great idea as well. Filled it about half way with tight bond III, then I was out of the shop about two months. Came back and even though the bottle was tightly capped, the glue had partially dried in the delivery end and it was all gunked up. I filled it with warm water and work around and was able to clean it out. But I have not tried it again. Tell me it should be able to keep the glue on the shelf for extended periods of time?

    • @FastCapLLC
      @FastCapLLC 8 років тому +1

      +neilyeag Honestly speaking two months is a long time. Glue is volatile. Generally glue is used regularly and you'll get the best results. There are 2 extenuating circumstances: 1) how old was the glue that you put in it...it has a shelf life as well; 2) what was the temperature in the shop for the two months?
      The best thing about FastCap products is if for any reason you don't think it meets your expectation there's an unconditional warranty on it you just call us & we will refund you the money and you can keep the product. 1-888-443-3748

      +FastCap
      Hi thanks for the un-expected response! I like the product, I think it makes a lot of sense. The glue was a new bottle of TB III. I live in Thailand, so the temp. is about the same all of the time ha. Probably about 90F or so. But, I never have any issues with a regular bottle of TB leaving it in the shop.

    • @FastCapLLC
      @FastCapLLC 8 років тому

      +neilyeag I fully understand it not been a problem in a normal bottle, but ours has a small neck chamber that can pose a problem in super hot temperatures and the glue bottle is not used regularly. Paul

    • @neilyeag
      @neilyeag 8 років тому +1

      That makes sense. I am going to try again. Maybe I will put it in the fridge when not in use. Thanks.

    • @jeffstanley4593
      @jeffstanley4593 8 років тому

      +neilyeag Same thing here, the glue is now gelatinous. However, in my case it was more than two months and some temperature swings. I bought a gallon of Titebond and now must throw most of it away. I hate to buy the smaller bottles but if you throw away more than you use, where is the economy? I am going to try and clean out the Gluebot and buy a smaller bottle of TB.

      +palmer3977 Production version of an invention is a shot on goal. A good patent is a goalie, capable of envisioning and protecting the net against many other kinds of shot that could enter the defined net. The goalie needs to have more shots in mind than the one his team used to score. In mathematical terms, think sets and subsets. Slap shot, wrist shot, backhand shot --- all could be covered by a single patent claim. But perhaps a tip-in would not. Good patent drafting involves even more inventing than product development. It's actually a fascinating undertaking, not just a worthless lawyer's trick...

    These are crap. Get past halfway, with a viscous glue (like Gorilla) and the top cap leaks. Badly. Impossible to seal (I have tried several inserts) whatever you do. So no glue. The threads are really poorly formed. Given that the empty bottle costs more than a full glue bottle this is unacceptable.
