That interview at the start was done in March, 2008 and Rob was selling a teen romance movie. She was living with her long term boyfriend Michael Angarano at the time, and Rob was friends with Michael. In fact, he knew Michael's whole family and Mike's little sister had a huge crush on Rob. So Rob and KS were not a couple then, or for over a year.
A lot of the video is when they were not a couple. They had to do a lot of promo and they were friends. It's too bad fans made it into more than it was, and then couldn't accept it when she cheated on him with her married director. It was never an epic romance.
