God i love it i love it Dr. Pannell and DR. Thomas this was a Band this is what i'm talking about old school Grambling come back again look at the move and the drive of this band!!!
This is the Grambling Tiger Band I grew up watching. Thanks for posting, brings back alot of good memories. Thank you for your dedication to excellence in music.
Young and current bandmembers..........study these old school tapes. Get these dance moves. Make them your own. Use them and once again baffle these "stand still" bands with that Tiger showmanship!!
Now I know where the Electric Slide came from;look how the band was dancing when Cheryl was singing, lol! When Cheryl came out, that BD went from directing to straight dancing, lol. He was getting down on the real!If Grambling incorporate some of them ol skool dance moves, they would be to hot too stop!Them dancers fine as wine too!I gotta see that BD jam 1 more time, lol!
@QueenOTrumpets, The tempo was so fast that no one was gonna be "popin 90's" the band looking UNIFORM in their marching and in their marching performance was MORE IMPORTANT than "Popin' 90'" A young buck from the 90's shouldn't have to tell you that about the World Famed!!
Your EXACTLY right. Grambling doesn't do Grambling anymore and its sad. They are trying slowly to get back to being the TRUE "World Famed" but alot more things need 2 be changed for that to happen.
The final rehearsal for this show will forever be special to me. To be a part of that amazing time God truly has blessed me!

Correct, this was they heyday, and the leadership of Dr. Hutchinson which is how Grambling earned the name and legacy.

We must have incorporated the 90 degree angle in the 80's because all of thess people look like they are just "WALKING" fast.

I know in 92, the tempo was super fast and NON-STOP. 15 min halftime with NO BREAKS!!!
Pretty good show
Ok, my mistake, I will change the date. Thx for the info.
Dr. Williams Welcome to the Grambling Tiger Marching Band.

Was there a band director that went by the name of "Lil Soul" during that year?
The tempo was just as fast in the '80s and WE were doing 90s..... excuses....
I was there and Cheryl Lynn stole the show. Her voice was phenomenal although you can't tell on the video.
Unfortunately, Grambling don't do Grambling anymore.... I haven't (stylistically) seen the Grambling band since 1997
Gram always been poo.. or SLAW as they once called it.. drill horribly and try to dance their way to house🤦🏾♂️
